Oh hey, don't forget to plant those berry bushes back at your home base - The quicker you put those suckers down the sooner you'll have some sweet, sweet berries to munch on!
I've heard of Vintage Story a short while ago and was on the fence of getting it. Someone said it is unforgiving which has me hesitant. But after watching your video however, I think I'll pick it up. Thanks for that!
It’s definitely a tough game, it’s not afraid to kill you. But it’s never felt unfair to me. It can be overwhelming at first, and it makes you work for everything. But because of that, when you do accomplish something it feels VERY rewarding! Glad my video could help, more to come! Hope you enjoy VS!
Hi! First time watching your videos and first time playing Vintage story. Just wanted to say you made a awesome video, both info and editing for a good covering of the game early one for a newbie like myself. ^^
Thanks for the video, I just picked the game up and I wanted to say i appreciate the tips :) I love building and exploring in games like Valheim, Minecraft and Enshrouded, this looks even more in depth, excited to hop on. Cheers again on the great video!
Great tutorial! This makes me tempted to get the game. Looks like a lot of fun. I love the nutrition feature. In Minecraft and Palworld I just eat one source of food which is incredibly boring and easy.
Cranberries have lower saturation but I just read they stay good enough to eat much longer than any other Berry. So they would be good for harvesting and storing as close to Winter as possible apparently.
Thanks! I’m still working on surviving your second day, it got a bit larger than I anticipated so I’ve decided to make a few other tutorials in between its release to help supplement.
Very useful. Unfortunately, I'm at that weird "post-beginner" stage where, in theory, I know all this stuff, and yet my day 1 always ends with me barely able to light a fire. Time management, I guess. Also my worlds always have me scrambling for 2 minutes gathering the basics that everybody else seems to find in 30 seconds.
I thought Vintage Story was like a full conversion modpack for Minecraft but it's it's own thing it seems. I feel like someone was fed up with Minecraft and made a game with a LOT more depth. making what Minecraft could have been. Also totally unscripted bear lol.
Yeah, it really depends on what your spawn looks like, that’s why I mentioned cooking cattails as I’ve found that when in a really tough biome, cattails are usually very easy to find. If you’re in a heavily forested area look for mushrooms, and fish can also be a great source of food if you’re in a tough spot - You can even eat fish raw and they’ll provide additional satiation than cooked.
Pressing the ‘H’ key will bring up the survival handbook! It will have recipes for everything. It’s a nice reference, but can also be a bit overwhelming, not always structured the best.

Crazy that you dont have more subs man. These videos are a god send for new players like me
I really like the algorithm for recommending me this video by HQ, but not (yet) famous creator.
You and me both! I didn’t expect really any views on this video so I’m impressed with how well it’s doing. Thanks for the support! 🙏
I love the universal moment of fear when you see a bear in this game.
Just came across this video while thinking about buying Vintage Story. You swayed me into getting it. This account and video deserves more love!!

This is the best beginners guide for this game, a lot of people just assume your know the basics so they skip all this but this video helps so much.
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for the support :)
Great tutorial! Also, loved the commentary. Eager to tag along and see more :)
Thank God someone who understands
Thanks for the video chief, this helped out a lot!

It is a bit of a beast, but because of that it makes everything you do so so rewarding! Have fun!
I loooooooove the maplestory gifs and music. nostalgia
Yes!! Maple music is easily the most nostalgic for me - Good times. ❤️
@@waddlesjr631 good times indeed

Nice video! About to attempt to survive my first day lol
Good luck!
So you posted 6 months ago about surviving your first day on Vintage Story. I wonder how that went? :-)

where part 2 i no see, new to the game and this was a very well made guide thank you
Something i like to do is always use an admin comman of
/land adminfreehere to steal from the npcs bc theyve got so much useful stuff in early game
Bro , hands down you a sick voice !
You think so? I hate my voice but I guess that’s how it usually goes 😅
Great guide. Thanks!
Couldnt seem to find the surviving your 2nd day video tho.
Thanks! I’m still working on surviving your second day, it got a bit larger than I anticipated so I’ve decided to make a few other tutorials in between its release to help supplement.
Oh what a nice video man. Just to get me back into VC :) (I forgot everything how it goes)

13:40 Is that Digimon World music? I notice you also had other game music too.
It is! One of my favorite soundtracks. Most of the other music is Maplestory music.
I subbed because you seem smart and i like your voice. I'm 28 seconds in. I think i have a problem. Anyway, *subbed*
Thanks so much! I reaalllly hate my voice so I’m glad at least someone enjoys it! 😅

Oh my god is that 60 Second Gaming
What in the actual fuck?! 😂Did I mention this channel in the Discord? There’s no way this is pure coincidence with 27 views lol. How you been?!
love the video but the way you say currant is making me cringe lol ill get used to it though
720p on 2024?

My guy, have you never heard the word currant spoken aloud? Great video though 😄
Came for the Vintage Story, Left wanting to play Maplestory.... Music nastalgia
Is that Maplestory I hear?
That’s right! I wondered if anyone would be familiar, I’ve got a few Maplestory themes I like to throw in!
stop saying cur- aunt... its pronounced current
DIDDY'S????
Map since 1.19 is soooooo bad :(
I like the new map, personally. But the beauty is you can use the earlier one in the settings of the world customization. Choose terrain color map.
@@theguyfromsaturn But the animals are still jumping 3 meters up and all of the farm ones are aggressive?
This tutorial is too confusing
Thanks for the feedback! What makes it confusing for you?
@@waddlesjr631what does "map with it" means with flint?
@@waddlesjr631also how do you see recipes?
Ah, yes you are correct! I was saying “knap”, which is the act of shaping flint and other hard rocks.
