Can you please explain why i can't put a bottom line under skill? Im trying to follow you tutorial but for some reason it won't let me do that!☹

I have some questions:
1. I’ve been rejected from about 50 interviews. (In the last one they found the excuse that I could have given more examples. There must have been 20 to 30 perfectly given interviews with no feedback at all. The feedback I got from a lot of them is that they went for another candidate).
2. Before the pandemic it only took around 4 interviews to secure a new role
3. I went to a top business school and have half a decade of experience working for blue chip companies
4. *I’ve been given the advice by some corporate operatives that I could still somehow secure a role at a top company even if I’ve been unemployed for half a dozen years*
*Is it discrimination? Is it bias because there is money involved? I would just like to know what is going on as I’m being forced to retire early abroad/take a career break in the summer*..

As someone who is trying to establish a career, creating a CV and the supporting documents has been a nightmare honestly but thanks to this video, i have not only been able to create a simple, sleek and professional CV but I have also gained invaluable knowledge that I will keep and implement always. Nice clean resumé. Thanks it was helpful. I will tweak it a bit with other info since you need different info in different countries, but it gives a good formula to use for whatever headings you would like to use in your resumé.

For some reason when I try to copy the formatting as you do from 2:35-3:18 it applies everything except the bottom border, and it actually removes the border from 'Skills' and applies it to whatever line I click. It won't duplicate the border with the rest of the format. Any idea why this happens?
I also not having success duplicating the bottom border. It also won't shrink up the box with 3 cells and I can't get my bullet points where I need them.

So what if I'm a graduate with no skills? I have job experience, I have two degrees, but I never learned about SEO or white paper writing.
Oof, what college let you graduate with two degrees and no skills?? I kid... But surely you learned some skills in college and have picked some up from your work experience. Start with those. However, if you don't feel confident putting a skills section, you can always leave it off the resume.
Try to put programs you know how to use like (word, power point, etc), what are the ones you feel comfortable with, stuff like that it really helps.

Yes, a summary can help if you're entry level. This template should be pretty ATS friendly, but you can always skip the table used for the skills section of you're worried.
As for keywords, you should try to match the wording in the job description whenever possible. That will help you score higher in an ATS scan, but you'll also look better to a hiring manager. The job description uses language and terminology that is common at the company (since it was written by people at the company). If you're "speaking their language" in your resume and cover letter, that's a big advantage.

I would put the years you attended and maybe add a bullet point stating how many credits you completed. You can also use the opportunity to add bullet points about any research, projects, or classes that would boost your resume. Otherwise, if it won't add value, don't include the section.

@@Xamplio Do you know how to make the space between the edges/corners/sides and actual text smaller?
You can adjust the page margins in the page Layout settings. Go to *Layout* > *Margins* and then either use a preset or you can adjust them under the Custom option.
Imagine if they just had normal resume templates instead of whatever the hell they have in word right now...
