Thank you very much! I thought it was more difficult and you explained it very well, simple and brief. I've wanted to learn this for a long time. subscribed

Thanks for sharing. I need more practice on bendy bone for grease pencil.

I've been dabbling with this kind of rig in the last couple of days and I have a few insights to share with anyone intrested.:
    1. When the armature is binded to the object through vertex groups, it is basically conecting bones with the vortex groups of same names (so when renaming a bone make sure to also rename the vertex group you want it to affect ((and vice versa))). First this might seem like a burden, but it allows much more flexibility when further developing the rig, or changing how the armature and object interact.
    2. In your video you use the copy location constraint to bind the hat to the snowman, however I've found a somewhat better and more flexible (imo) way to do it. That is by using the armature constraint (on the level of bones). This makes the bone be affected by another bone (and also be changed on its own). I've found this particularly useful when adding limbs or other sort of appendages. Just constrain the handles of the appendage to the main bendy bone and you're good to go.
Note: I've been using blender for just around 4 months now, so these tips may not even be that valuable. However I hope they can help atleast someone who reads this.

In step 04. (1), how do you parent the grease pencil object to the armature so that the bones show up in the vertex group menu?
Edit: nvm, looked closer on the video and its 'Armature deform with empty groups'
Also, I've been watching a lot of your videos lately and I have to thank you for expanding my horizons regarding grease pencil, cheers.

I cant follow this tutorial, you use shortcuts that you take for granted and they arent displayed on screen. I give up

If you turn on the TH-cam subtitles option, you will be informed of the shortcuts that were used for the first two minutes.
