Great video thank you. This needs more than 29 views! Stumbled across you via Dani Fagan. You both said so many things that resonate. I am unable to follow you Charlie on FB as there is no function on your page to do that unless I'm missing something? I would like to follow you on FB if it's possible? Already following pain PT also!

Thanks for the kind words. I really enjoy every conversation I have with Jim and I’m glad it resonated for you. I don’t spend a lot of time on Facebook and most of my content there spills over from Instagram @CharlieMerrill. But you might find me at Charlie Scott Merrill on Facebook and/or Merrill Performance. I also have a TH-cam channel if you search my name. Please share the episode and help us spread the word about pain! Cheers

Apropos of the correlation between emotional events and the onset of pain symptoms. In retrospect, I sure notice how my so called herniated disk came on out running frantically in 2002 in the aftermath of my late mother's passing and in the wake of losing a lucrative ISO contract. At the time though, I accepted the structural diagnosis and dutifully put myself through six-months of PT and stretching, which pretty much kept me occupied and distracted from the pain in my legs and hips. However, I notice now that my pain vanished when I started going to the climbing gym again and socializing with a group of friends right after I got a big check from my father's wrongful death asbestos law suit. Coming back to life? At the time though I didn't notice the strong correlation between these powerful emotional life events and figured I was just healing up from a structural disk injury. Wish I'd had a PT at the time who pointed out the strong correlation between emotional events and my pain symptoms. Would have healed up quicker with less residual pain episodes if I'd read Sarno or someone else in the Mind-Body orbit. Knowledge is the key obviously.
