Late reply, but why do you suppose you have that reaction? I feel similar, get goosebumps, and am very moved, particularly by the intro chords. They remind me very much of a church hymn, very grand. I think this tune would translate really well into an orchestral backing with those massive intro chords played by a large string section and multiple trombones...
Wow what an incredible version this is, every Gen-Z U2 hater out there needs to be sat down in front of this to remind them of why U2 were THE band of the late 80s and early 90s
Was there and I lived down the street from the stadium one of if not best concerts I ever saw, Linda what a blast we had hope your well wherever you are!
@@TKTnetwork They are not what they they were 28 years ago, of course. However, they are still very good and sometimes stunning! Regardless, they are still the best live band on this planet! ♥
I was at this concert, on the floor, near the stage. It was life changing. I will never forget it. Thank you for uploading this. It brought me right back there.
This is an awesome zoo tv version but the best version for me has to be Croke Park 1987 from the world in action documentary. It changed my life. Most powerful intro I’ve ever seen to the start of a concert. Only thing that ever come close is zoo station intro from zoo tv tour
I was standing on a train platform outside the stadium listening to that. Whoah! The song wafted on the breeze throughout the streets around there, echoing.
I was there. It was pretty incredible. What I remember most was Edge's solo on bullet the blue sky. He scorched the place. Also, Larry Mullen Jr. standing up behind his drum kit and singing Wild Irish Rover - solo. The crowd went crazy. They ended with Blindness and then Elvis' Can't help falling in Love.." They were "on" that night.
Around 4:40, you can see Bono walk towards Edge. I think Edge's mic went out. When they harmonize together you can see all the camera guys rush to get that footage. You know that's special. Truly magical. What a band!
I was in this video. i was front row on the right off the long stage.I got chilsl at this show. This was my first U2 concert out of 10. This one by far was the best.
Great great great job in making this. This is my favorite version from an old bootleg I had called Zoo Radio. Thank you for sharing. Brings back so many memories
I used to have a bootleg copy of the Zoo Radio promo disc too but in 2008 I drove off with a case of nearly 200 CDs on my roof that included about 25 U2 performances. Never realized it till it was too late. These early outside broadcast performances are some of the best from the Zoo TV era.
Was at both Yankee Stadium shows on The Edge side. There were only two shows as I recall at Yankee Stadium... anyone? I remember Adam saying in an interview... "welcome to Zoo York Zoo York."
Yes, will mark this in as 'good', visuals good to great, sound, yep but this song has some great concert versions...... Slane, Ireland 2001. Among my life's highlights, yes, true, is up on front at a fab four concert and this track's starting.
Pour moi la version meilleure version live de WTSHNN, ce cette période..............la voix de bono est parfaite........et qu'elle énergie.....!!!!!!!!!
how is Where The Streets Have No Name a rare performance, is there something different?? No.. The song (don't get me wrong the song is fantastic, one of the greatest, good vid too) has been played at every full concert since the start of the Lovetown tour.
It's not a rare performance per session, but a rare video of this particular performance. You can find excellent audio on here from most of the Zoo Radio promo disc, but video is limited.
@Roger Belger 2nd night of back to back shows in NYC, Adam was partying hard on the tour, culminating in his skipping a show in Australia a year later.
Don’t think so. The organ intro from Sydney is a little bit longer as I recall. There are to final chords on the organ before Edge starts in Sydney and you can hear some notes already played there. This is not the case in this video.
This is not a song. This is a ride of the soul
I’m damn near 50 years old and this still brings me to near tears. Quite possibly one of the best live recordings of this song ever.

Yeah exactly. Even better than these 2021 "remastered" ones. This is the best one.
People have the Power. Rock n Roll.
It was that good live.
I saw It live in London, 97 or 98. Trust me , you can erase the "quite possibly".

The best song ever written in the story of Rock, they changed the live show forever. Long live U2
Eduardo Gomez jeez mate. That’s a big call...
One of best. Definately.

100% correct. To experience this song live during the Zoo Tv Tour was pure magic.
This is the best live version of this song
Fantastic version indeed! The one from Washington 16/ 08 92 isn't bad either
His voice was superb in this version
Bono's vocals on this are simply BEAUTIFUL!!
Song was never better than JTT or Love Town. Larry’s snare drum on this tour was weird and Bono’s voice developed a strange nasally tone.
@@gvn2fly96 i thought so, could be due to him smoking
Used to be, not anymore

Amanda Nelson i was there too. The Zoo Tv tour
I was there too on the floor next to the catwalk. Absolutely life-changing! Definitely one of the highlights of my life.
I was there too. Upper deck but i didn’t care. Zoo TV was a great tour. This is bringing back such memories.
Viveu muito, meu amigo!! 🙏
This might be my favorite performance of Streets ever, and as a massive fan I've listened to a LOT!
Though this is a tremendous performance I still think the 1987 World In Action version of Streets is still the best.
The DC version (still ZooTv) is imo better than this one :p
Same

This video is like time machine that went back 32 years ago. Amazing.

U2 at its very best!! I saw this video on Australian tv actually channel 7!! back in 1992

When U2 were kings! They are still great, but this was their peak - untouchable.
84-87 they were untouchable
Unforgetable
The most beautiful "Streets" live version I know to this date.
bono's voice is so good.. you can hear he was singing with a little rasp on his voice.. perfect
The only music that goes beyond the speed of light.
I’ve been to over 800 live shows and that summer night in the Bronx was top 5 -
I was there too
You are right. I heard Streets on hundreds of shows and this one...really one of the best!
his voice was so perfect!!!!!!!!!!
Best tour ever in this world. ZOOtv rocked my world and changed stadium shows forever.
I WAS THERE , YES IT'S A "ROCK EPIC GUITAR CRUCH FEST" - THANK YOU U2
Nothing could ever describe the sound and presence of the old Stadium as well.
Sound quality is just insane. Immediate favorite

where did that footage go, if you don't mind my asking?
Game changer of a tour. Never bettered. An amazing version. Love the Fox Special with Burroughs talking over the intro too, thanks so much for this.
That Burroughs intro to Streets was part of their Kansas City show in October 1992.
I wonder if they did it at many other shows.
I love that version too. I have a copy I recorded off VHS but cannot find it anywhere online.
This is the beauty of U2 songs they touch your soul and spirit and this song does that twice at 1:20 and 4:20
Magical stuff. Best tour they've ever done.
bono's vocals are spot-on here. His voice is on top form..
awesome version! best ever and I was there
kellykinsellives i was there too
I was there won tix on the radio..i was a very happy 14 yr old..found my true love..U2.
Marcia Leon have you seen them live since 1992?
Marcia Leon i was there too
Awesome performance!
The audio is impeccable. Chills man
Who ever made this video your an angel
I was there that night. This is a really GREAT video of it!
Zoo TV is their number ONE tour.
Alex Lielbardis Absolut!!!
You obviously never saw one of the shows on the LoveTown Tour ....
Andy Smith , of course! 1989 in Dortmund, with BB King!
Rainer Schaefer picture of your ticket stub or it didn’t happen!
Hey, come on! This happened 31 years ago! I remember that the Tickets were yellow with blue letters!
I saw them in Albany, NY on this tour. It must have been right before or after this show. I was on the floor.
Unbelievable voice!!
Thanks Pedro! Best version of this I've heard.
Bonos' voice was amazxing!!!!
Jgelect 1987 “*was* “ being the operative word, he can’t sing like this anymore

Am I the only one here getting emotional by this? 😢
God Damn....there’s Bono & the boys in their prime right there...And for us ‘Gen Xers’ 1992 was just about our “Prime” as well.....(sigh)

His voice sounds amazing, After 1993 it started to weaken
nguitar34 his vocal was already on the way out. This show was just a rare good night. It had already started to weaken on the previous tour.
Listen to the 2015-07-02 - Chicago version, he sings it amazing from Citys A Flood and forward

remember the fox broadcast had Burroughs Thanksgiving Prayer and then when Streets have no name they cut to commercial. might have offended people
Wow!
Too sad yankee show, once recorded, was never released like a regular concert.
yurieu you can find most of it on TH-cam
I have searched for this Yankee Stadium concert since i first saw it in 1992 but yes it was never released as a dvd. Pity
What is that sound in the first 30 secs, you only hear it on Zoo TV era versions of this song
They're thinking, .... Could have bought a bigger light rig... 😂

I think God revealed Himself that night, being this song
