4:10 when he sings come on now love, dont you look back. Then they add an extra measure and Bono riffs a bit....this is what Live is all about. They killed that ending
I've seen so, so many versions of this song - one of my favorites, ever! And this one is, for me, by far, the greatest. What an incredible performance! I wish there was another Zoo TV Tour! 90% Achtung Baby! :D
que versión, que lujo, extraordinario! en mi top 5 de U2. La letra es un poema! puedo escucharla un millón de veces y siempre me gusta. Mi banda favorita.
I love how at 2:49 bono forgets and starts to sing the last chorus of "who's gonna taste your salt water kisses" and edge has to adjust and sing "who's gonna ride- ... taste your salt water kisses"
Other than The Beatles, then yes. U2 are my #1; always have been, always will be, but even Bono and the Boys can, (and do), acknowledge that The Beatles are the best.
They only played it twice in the US, at the tour opener in Tulsa and at the club gig in NYC. Europe got it most nights. So happy I decided to go to Tulsa.
Saw them both nights at Dodger Stadium -- Oct 30 and Halloween - 1992. Met Dennis Hopper as we dressed our hot dogs at the condiments stand in the floor section. He was really nice and it was a GREAT show!
Hey bluesuncompanyman. I too got to go. It was my first major concert. I had just turned 14 at the time and went with my buddy who had just turned 15. His dad drove us. This concert experience changed my life.
I see this and hear the amazing lyrics, melodies and passion, and I am back at that concert, I am back to the moment my boyfriend now husband bringing the new album over to me at my work. And I'm like, no that's not u2. Because they changed their image so vastly. I wasn't sure what to think, bc I was still stuck in 1987 when Joshua Tree came out. However I just love this album, just as well as it has a different sound, different style, different image. U2 is always evolving, changing in so many aspects of their music. Yet their unique and their humble souls remain. And that is everything I love about them. Amazingly talented, Amazingly humble with a bit of bad ass in Bono, what's not to love? And I mean that with a a heart full of love. This is such a great song .
Fantastic! Thanks for posting. One of my favorite U2 songs. I saw a '92 show but by the time they got to the West Coast they were no longer playing it. So great... don't understand how it wasn't working for them. Oh well.
This band had unbelievable magic for about those four albums (October, Fire, Joshua, Achtung.) I saw the Joshua tour in Montreal, it was like a religious experience.
When I'm alone with my guitar and sing this song.. As soon as I start singing the Don't Turn Around part my voice cracks and I break down and cry. Every single time.
Bono screwed up the second chorus lyrics. He sang "saltwater kisses" which is only in the last chorus. Edge looks a bit flustered as he sang the correct harmony lyrics for that chorus. It's OK B, you've got a few things going on, what's a lyric or two among friends!
This is one of those particular live performances that just about puts tears in my eyes with its beauty. The version from Dublin in 2005 with a brief solo from The Edge is nearly perfect as well, but nothing quite tops how "on" the band was in this show.
In 1992 I was 13. I had the chance to get to Zoo TV with 4 older friends but was far too young and my parents forbid me to go. It was the only time I ever defied them (I snuck out a window) and though I still feel guilty about it, I also think it was one of the best things I ever did. I saw Zoo TV live. I'm so sorry for you of the younger gen who missed it. I'm in the last crop that could have gone. 360 is certainly good, but nothing since 1992 has compared to the expereince. Nothing.
During 1987 to 1993,Bono was simply the greatest singer of all time
yes with Axl Rose, actually two best bands of that time
@@davidschick4729 Absolutely on point
Freddie Mercury has entered the chat.
I agree
Steven Tyler
Best version of this song in my opinion, he nails the “dont you look back” at the end too
I guess he was in very good condition that night, check other songs like ultraviolet
to me, there is nothing better than finding a better version of a U2 song
89 thru 92 was Bono's best, most intense and creative vocal era.
Totally Agree. 89/93
His most intense, sheer power was from 1985-1987. He did add a range in high falsetto tho for Zoo TV 1992-1993.
85/93. A little spark in 2001.
89/96
1989-2001
Early 90s were amazing.
I was 14 then.
Best tour ever.
Zoo tv. Really THE best tour ever.
"... dont you look back!"
Bono still had incredible power! it must have been fantastic to see that show.
September 2019, still listening...
cool
may ‘24!
I was in Cologne that year and played this every day, it was my saviour.
U2 at their absolute peak.
Best Band on the Planet!
This song gives me chills, especially at this moment in life.
I have 13 years old and this song give me chills too
Must be played loud, one of the best u2 songs, still listening in 2021
4:10 when he sings come on now love, dont you look back. Then they add an extra measure and Bono riffs a bit....this is what Live is all about. They killed that ending
Love it when he riffs it inspires me to riff more and when I riff it suprises a lot of people
I love this song and I have never seen this version before.
Linda Pettit it’s the best out there !
It was maybe a 6 our if ten live, IMO. Other AB songs live.....blown out of the water!!
Look up Paris 92
IF I had a time machine ...
Seriously...
mdmomof7 , yeah, i always get nostalgic with songs from this album, they were at the top of their game, and i was young and sexi, lol.
mdmomof7 hey its Momma of 7
I wish.
@@ramonarellano4988 yep... great times, and not so good times also.
I've seen so, so many versions of this song - one of my favorites, ever! And this one is, for me, by far, the greatest. What an incredible performance! I wish there was another Zoo TV Tour! 90% Achtung Baby! :D
What a voice :o The ending is superb.
It is incredible, isn't it?
Jijst5 I miss his voice. It seems that he is getting old , however He is Bono!
Paul Daniels jajajaja that is for sure!😀
Look up Paris 92 it’s even better
What a great ever live performance! Almost thirty years after....
When my time has come
This will be playing for all of my past and future loves.
que versión, que lujo, extraordinario! en mi top 5 de U2. La letra es un poema! puedo escucharla un millón de veces y siempre me gusta. Mi banda favorita.
this song is so emotional.... a couple of chords and a magical melody .... just as the simple things in life... my all time fevourite song by u2!
+gerardo pereira marques I don't want to say forget "One" or "Mysterious Ways", but this really is the greatest song in Achtung Baby.
+Erwin Ranon yessssss…
Best live version of the song..
Look up Paris 92 vision it’s even longer and better towards the end
I wish I could like this video 1 million times
I love how at 2:49 bono forgets and starts to sing the last chorus of "who's gonna taste your salt water kisses" and edge has to adjust and sing "who's gonna ride- ... taste your salt water kisses"
2:49 there u go guys
You caught the mistake 10 years before I did LOL
Edge is amazing here!
He gets a great sound with that Gibson Les Paul Custom!
Look Paris 92 vision it’s even longer and better towards the end
Best song ever by U2
Keith Dennehy Can't agree, can't disagree.
Keith Dennehy I can agree. My all time favourite song. I wish they'd play it live as a full electric band once again.
+Keith Dennehy Rivals "City Of Blinding Lights". No doubt the best song from Achtung Baby.
+Hallucination The acoustic version was fine but electric, especially from Zoo TV and Dublin in 2005, was so much better.
This and "One"...
still loving U2
I read in an interview with Bono that he said they never play this song live because it doesn't "come alive" ...... wtf this version is ace.
And the lyrics got stolen, & he didn't have them memorized.
+Liz Horne what do you mean by this?
+David Strum he didn't memorize the song before the lyrics got stolen
It seems to be a hidden gem that most millenia who attend U2 concert nowadays don't know.
How did they get stolen?
This is my all time favorite performance of this gorgeous song... outstanding! so much power and feeling, absolutely stunning.
Look Paris 92 vision it’s even longer and better towards the end
Definitely one of my fav songs from U2, there's just so much to it.
live performance of this song is simply amazing....bravo!
The only live version of this song with (at 4:15 ) the high note in the "don't you look back" part. Sounds so powerfull!💪👍👍
Not the only version, it is in some Vertigo tour performances as well, like the one in Dublin.
They really are the best band in the world.
Other than The Beatles, then yes. U2 are my #1; always have been, always will be, but even Bono and the Boys can, (and do), acknowledge that The Beatles are the best.
@@GregStallion Beatles are not the best at all, in my opinion. They are overrated to me, U2 is the best and always will be.
They were, these days they are something like the Stones, maybe even worse. Soft rock for soccer moms.
@@GregStallion So wait, what's your top three?
#1 Beatles.
#2 Yes.
#3 U2?
@@GregStallion dont agree absolutely, U2 does it longer, Beatles only ten years, time also matter in my opinion, but generally Beatles are the best
U2 has been with me through it all. This conjures up so much from the past it is surreal.
My favorite U2 song of all time, who can't relate to this? Never understood why this wasn't one of their better known songs.
Fantastic version of one of the best U2 song ever... Great!!!!
Look up Paris 92 vision it’s even longer and better towards the end
@@adrianrussell580 ok thanks
this is easily my favorite.....
I'd give ANYTHING to hear this at a concert
love this song. Look up 24th June 2005 Croke Park Dublin. I was there, that's my home town. Local Lad, seeing U2 at there finest!
U2 - Os maiores e melhores!!! Brilhantes!
Glad to see they're playing it again in 2018.
They only played it twice in the US, at the tour opener in Tulsa and at the club gig in NYC. Europe got it most nights. So happy I decided to go to Tulsa.
I love this song !!!!
fantastic! no words to describe this song!!
amazing song..
and one of the best lyrics of all time.. just beautifull!

Halloween day is the day of the Larry's birthday
U2 always makes me feel so much when I listen..
GREAT...it is so much more than just music ... over so many years my favourite band ... and nothing will change!
I miss this U2, such an amazing band.
wow ... U2 in the 90s was simply out of this world. Best band ever
My favorite tour I ever seen. Wish I was alive for it.

I love this song, and I love U2!!! This has great audio quality.
November 18 1987 best day of my life . with or without you.
Incredible!!! I remember this version from the old bootleg days...thanks so much for uploading!!!
After 4 decades.... I can't even begin to calculate The Edge's GREATNESS!
When I'm alone with my guitar and sing this song.. As soon as I start singing the Don't Turn Around part my voice cracks and I break down and cry. Every single time.

The best version of this song
2:47 haha Edge started singing who's gonna ride your wild horses while Bono sang who's gonna taste your salt water kisses.
Fantastic
The best
one of the few singers who sounded as good live as in the studio. jesus , how do you sing like that while laying down and touching the crowd?
Even better live than in the studio version...
Radek Benes “Even better than the studio thing” sounds better ;)
@@nikospaolinelli great comment 🙂
Ah, Zoo TV before it went outdoors! This was the 2nd leg of this tour and it was all indoor arenas in Europe. They did US arenas for the first leg.
