  • At Rapid Fusion, our mission is to push the boundaries of additive manufacturing through innovation
and advanced technology. One of our latest breakthroughs is the implementation of a real - time speed and throughput synchronisation algorithm, developed in collaboration with our software
partner, Adaxis. This cutting-edge feature dramatically enhances the performance of our PE320 Pellet Extruder, integrating seamlessly with the KUKA robot system.

This is the best explanation for why seams look the way they do :)

    What caused the Layer Shift?

We believe the shift occurred due to adding a fresh bag of materials to the dryer mid-print, which had a higher moisture content. This significantly impacts how wet materials lay. Unlike a traditional 3D printer that uses belts, the robot's motors do not cause layer shifts. Since these were just tests to ensure retraction was working, we decided to continue the print.
