Amazing video. Vant wait to okay with my gopromax st the beach and on hikes. Skateboarding around the street and sunsets is my only options haha.
So the Hero 7 Black itself is great, the camera takes great video, the photos are ok (you are sometimes better just screenshotting the video to ensure you get the frame you want) and the battery life is fine (although if the unit gets hot then it can shorten the battery life significantly.
HOWEVER, my camera developed a leak and stopped functioning. I contacted the GoPro support line, on the advice from Amazon, who asked me to return my camera and provided a UPS postage label. From then it's been several months of chasing and discussions with GoPro support on what was meant to be a 7-day replacement service.
I have been told my case has been closed several times due to "inconsistencies with the data that you had provided", but it took several attempts to get any detail from their customer support line. It turns out that although I have the tracking details for a parcel being delivered to their office of a weight of an envelope and camera, they believe that an empty parcel has been delivered to them and are refusing to replace my camera (which I've already provided a valid serial number for). I am currently left without a camera and no way of disputing this claim, apart from legal action.
Because of this, I WOULD NOT recommend a GoPro and I would advise looking into alternative products. I do not usually go public with complaints like this, but I believe GoPro has left me with no option.
