Day 8 - Lower Sabie. WILD DOG CHASE IMPALA.

What a beautiful morning in the mist around Lower Sabie. But then an even better sighting in the mist! Wild dogs chasing impala. Wow, what an adrenaline rush so early in the morning. Unfortunately no kill this time, one day we will still witness a kill 🤞🏼
But after a lovely day in the bush we started a lovely fire and had an interesting snack 🤔

Definitely an immature African Fish Eagle. Brown crown instead of white crown is one good indicator. Also, whilst Ospreys do rarely overwinter (I have seen one at Sable dam in the middle of winter), they are summer visitors.

Hi Colleen! Thanks for your comment 🤩 We agree, we were so certain it was an Osprey while at the sighting. Other birders came past and also thought it was an Osprey. We were very disappointed when looking back at our footage and then realising it was probably a Juv. Fish Eagle 🙈

Thank you 😁🙏🏼 We are very basic when it comes to the software / programs we use. Don’t have enough time to figure out Premiere Pro or DaVinci so we use a very basic but super user friendly Adobe Rush 🙏🏼🙏🏼
