Birding in and around Kimberley!

Hello from Kimberley in the Northern Cape! After a lovely day at Mokala we decided to show you guys a couple of birding spots around Kimberley. We start at the beautiful Rooifontein, where we enjoy the grasslands and pans it has to offer. We are then joined by a fellow birder who took us around Kimberley to some beautiful birding spots!
We added 10 new lifers to our list while in Kimberley, that brings our lifer list to 411!

The Yellow-fronted Canary, which do not occur in our area, at the Koi Pond is the Yellow Canary.

Hi Brian! Thank you for commenting! We still struggle a lot with the larks 🙈 Thank you for the correction! The I was thinking Spike-heeled Lark and it would be another lifer for us 🙌🏼 The eyebrow strip looked a lot like the Buffy. Really appreciate the comment and all you showed us while in Kimberley, such a beautiful area!
