Truth be told I do love some of the remade songs in this remake. I understand that you can't beat the original soundtrack but sometimes there are some lines to be drawn when it comes to remaking games. Plus this track is giving me "overkill" vibes.
I love how you can hear a little bit of the original arcade track in this. Personally, I like the remake's music. Yeah, it's not quite the same as Tetsuya Kawauchi's soundtrack...but you can definitely tell that it was still inspired by it. I think it's pretty cool. I really enjoy the heavy use of electric guitars.
I know i'm one year late to respond but the reason why the remake soundtrack sounds different because the OG composer Tatsuya Kawauchi refused to give licensed to the dev to remake the soundtrack.
This track sounds cool in its own way just like the original did. The latter had an eerie vibe that fitted the grim environment, while the latter feels like something straight out of an old action movie à-la THOTD Overkill
It's not bad at all by any means, and fits the game well. That being even if it'll never satisfy the hardcore purists who wanted the original one though.
It's not bad but it does sound like the version you hear during a show covering something related to the IP (i.e. a press event for a MCU or Star Wars film) that the producers don't have the license to use, so they use this incidental song that vaguely sounds like a piece from the original soundtrack to lure the viewer in.
Hate to see how they couldn’t get the original tracks and remake them but I’m sure that is too much legal trouble to work through, regardless this has such a funk to it I love it. It’s not the original but I jam to it
@@undeadironmaiden I’m a little confused on that. I know sega didn’t make this remake but wouldn’t they be allowed to remake the music if they were allowed to remake the game in the first place?

0:51 a reference to the original theme
Nice!
Gotta say I think this is the best track in the game especially in 0:51 when it reference the og it sounds like we are returning back to the house
I think Chapter 3 is good contention.
It's still got that classic Sega sound to it - sounds like something out of a Virtua Fighter game. :)

This track absolutely doesn't sound like it should fit for a spooky mansion full of undead monsters, but god, something about it really just WORKS.
Ikr, I guess it's less about the horror of all the zombies, and more about the guns blazing and kick ass action you bring to the zombie hordes

It's not a bad song, but it also isn't a remake of Tragedy which is what it should have been. Thank God mods exist.

This is my favorite track in the remake soundtrack although I wish there was an extended version of this.

The new ost kind of hard ngl
Sounds like kurohyou (MUPPET) final boss theme
This fits more in Yakuza than House of the Dead ngl
