Definitely up there. Hard as hell for me to pick a best boss theme, Shadow Queen from Paper Mario Thousand Year Door is up there though...badass theme for a mario game. The Ultimate Show from Super Paper Mario is also up there. All the mario RPGs have good music it's kinda crazy. Monster Hunter games also have some incredible boss themes, especially Frontier. Unknown themes (both Black Flying Wyvern/Ra Ro and Black Fox/Mi Ru) for example, Crimson Fatalis (specifically G rank from Frontier G) too. If you wanna go oldschool, Splatterhouse 2 The ultimate Evil is...amazing. Boss themes...man.
I would like to think that it's a creature that would destroy humanity being defeated by 2 agent with a new type of gun that never runs out of ammo, and who has nearly superhuman strength and reflex to be able to shoot thousands of shots from a heavy pistol at eyeblink speed. Perhaps the twist is that the only reason why the agents can stand a chance is that they are similarly augmented as the Magician too, although less so. That is the only thing that would make HoTD make any sense :D

My guess is that Isaac Washington probably died at some point (make a new HoTD game please!) and then of course Rogan went missing (and most likely dead by HotD 4 too). Losing two partners back to back must be hard on him (wow, HotD actually has DRAMA!)

Like it was an important moment in our lives to see someone beat the game 😆. But the guy lost and had ran out of money to boot. I've never seen the end of this game.

I heard that there was a HotD 1 and 2 remakes in the works. I hope to see it soon because I would love to play an updated version. I remember when I was 6, me and my brother played this every time we would go to the mall. Edit: Remake 1 was just announced with a teaser.
Oof. For me, the game was a 6/10 or a 7/10 at most. Music, okay/bad. Boss fights, improved. Magician, I really think he looks like a fortnite model made for children. Magician had a huge downgrade. Art style, I actually like a lot of it, except for magician and some other environments and creatures. Horde mode and extra weapons feature is good though and I have no complaints.

I remember playing this as a kid in Sega World London and getting this far for the first time. My hands were shaking and I was freaking my shit that he didn't have a weak point (I was a dumb kid). It made me feel like a hero as a kid and taught me that fighting was not about showing off, but about protecting something important.
