I am using A55 256GB for a few months now. And it is one of the best mid-range models Samsung has ever made. The bezels are fine. And even though it's using an Exynos chip, it operates everday tasks perfectly fine, and it's reliable. I don't play visually demanding games, so I don't need a powerful chip like the Snapdragon 8. What got me sold is the UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. It's faster and a big upgrade from A54. 5000mAh Li-Ion battery meant this phone can last more than a day for me. 25W charging is a little slow, but I'm okay with it. Cameras are fine too. Can't compare to flagships and the Pixels, but I'm not a serious photographer, and most of my pictures end up on social media and chat groups, so they get compressed anyway. But I can do without the Macro lens. It's low resolution and pointless. And I believe there's at 4 or 5 years of software and security support. With price drops, this is a very good, affordable, reliable every day phone to recommend.
3:12 I know it's super nitpicky, but I still don't understand why (and how) my old A71 from like... 2019, I think (it's been a long time) has slimmer side bezels than this phone.
It done on purpose so the bezel would be even with the top and bottom. Although my $130 brand new smartphone from a much smaller company with a 120hz amoled display have much thinner bezel all around... so Samsung definitely could've done better.
I love this phone (Galaxy A55) so much. Besides the headphone jack which I have moved on from, this phone is sort of similar to my last good Samsung flagship phone which was the Note20 Ultra. It has MicroSD card support and eSIM support at the same time. Sans the S-Pen this phone is really doing good and I don't understand all these Exynos hate from Snapdragon fanatics. As someone who had used mostly Samsung phones with Exynos chipsets (cuz that's the only ones sold by Samsung on my country and I don't wanna risk buying a gray unit just to experience Snapdragon yet lose the local Samsung warranty and be ineligible for Samsung Care+) I don't see why all these Snapdragon fanatics kept on complaining about battery life and performance. Cuz so far Samsung Exynos does it for me. I had Galaxy A54 (which I have since passed onto my grandma to replace her aging Galaxy A51) and got myself a Galaxy A55. And man the $600 with tax I have spent on it was all worth it cuz it resolved some of my minor issues with Galaxy A54 from last year such as it has a larger screen at 6.6" while A54 has 6.4", it had bigger RAM at 12GB (flagship grade) while A54 only has 8GB RAM, better vividness and outdoor visibility than A54, the addition of the aluminium frame is just awesome because plastic as a frame of the phone is just not very good for me cuz it gets minor scratches easily despite of being in cased and it such a nuisance but not quite that it angered me. And finally for the first time in a Samsung midrange phone... eSIM support! Cuz without such I would have just gotten myself a Galaxy A35 5G instead but A35 is basically A54 with an extra year of software updates and no HDR10+ support so it doesn't seemed like I have upgraded from A54 then so I decided to just get myself an A55. I just wish Samsung does 5 years of major Android upgrades instead of just 4 years and 1 year of security updates and this midrange would be so perfect! As of this writing, I have been using this phone (Galaxy A55) for almost a month (approximately 3½ weeks) and I only have words of love for it.
Once you experience a Nothing Phone(2) or (2a+) at that price you realise how big of a scam Samsung's A-series really is. Symmetrical bezels is the absolute least they could do.
I still remember my last phone s21 ultra I sold my phone because of the signal the signals are very fragile specially in basement or in low signal areas...
Can anyone notice of samsung a55 The screen brightnes of camera Can anyone check when you drop the brightnes of screen and open the camera If the camera screen is going to increase Mine is not increase the screen brightness when open the camera
Samsung really disappointed on the camera, actually feel scammed, came from an a52s and the camera is a huge and I mean huge downgrade, looking to sell this piece of junk

These days practicality is the key. That is a well balanced mid range smartphone. Just right. Solid for its price.
Bezels are ok but these are uneven

A71 has a bit curved sides doesnt it

Wish the metal frame is slightly curved in the edges. Cuts in to the palm with the sharp edges.
A55 is a beast
I don't even notice the cam on the screen
I miss the galaxy theme store loved on my s7 edge 😁🤠
In my region a55 is 280$ but s24 fe is 500$ wich one should i choose for better value?
just get the s24 fe if it doesnt hurt your budget
A55
Can anyone notice of samsung a55
The screen brightnes of camera
Can anyone check when you drop the brightnes of screen and open the camera
If the camera screen is going to increase
Mine is not increase the screen brightness when open the camera
Everything is fine but chipset is meh. A weak chipset can only last 2-3 yrs after that it'll get laggy
There is no difference when using vividness slider
Please do A35
Can get S23 for 400$ now
First

Well whatever you do, don't call it that when you're trying to shift it onto someone else.
