The 13 mini has been my favorite iPhone for years now. I upgraded from it to the 14 Pro Max and ended up missing my 13 mini every single day, despite the better battery life and camera on the Pro Max. Earlier this year I ended up picking up a refurbished 13 mini on Amazon (and I got really lucky, it was in near perfect condition with 100% battery health), which I’ve been using as a backup phone/iPod. I just traded in my 14 Pro Max for the 16 Plus, and I think the 16 Plus might just be my new favorite, but I’ll keep the 13 mini around as a secondary device until it is no longer supported; there’s just something about the 13 mini’s form factor that I can’t give up, no matter how much more advanced newer iPhones get. I’m hoping that Apple brings this size phone back one day, even if it is just in an updated SE format.
@@markoroncevic I did, and I haven’t missed 120hz one bit. On paper, the 16 Plus may lack some of the features of the 14 Pro Max, but it was every bit the upgrade that I wanted. Specs aren’t everything, and loving the device I’m using is more important to me than having the highest end device.
I have it for three years now and it’s so unique sometimes when I go on public and people see it they approach me and they say what kind of iPhone this is and they just amazed at how small and cute ❤️🥰👌

6:28 bro I’m so glad you brought up the weight. It’s so light! I’m still rocking one now, I want to upgrade to a newer iPhone or pixel 9 pro so bad but I love the size and weight of this phone. As you mentioned, often forget it’s even in my pocket…
Watching your videos was my deciding factor on getting the 13 mini. Thanks for all the informative videos over the years Nick! 🎉 The 13 mini most definitely isn’t no slouch and doesn’t perform any different speed wise compared to my girlfriends 16 pro. I hope Apple releases another small phone these next couple years.
I agree. If the price was lower and the battery is bit bigger, I think the mini's would sell a lot better. i'm not just talking about the 13, but the 12 mini also.
Turn off the accessibility option you wouldn’t have to scroll so much after you already zoomed in on the display lol that’s the only reason you scroll so much
I’d definitely recommend the 13 Mini. Goes really well with my iPad Mini (just ordered the new one). Was able to get the Product Red, which looks great with my black bumper and sparkly MagSafe grip. Always makes me smile that this has the same footprint as my 2016 iPhone 7, and that was definitely not thought of as a “Mini”. Thanks for the content.
Still love my Mini. It's basically as large as the iPhone 8 but with a bigger screen wich makes it perfectly sized. I made the text size smaller to get more information on the screen but since the ppi is so high, it's no issue. I like that watching TH-cam, Netflix etc. is kinda bad, but still very possible. Makes me use my iPad and TV more often. I only have social media and basic phone apps on there. Love it.
I just ordered a refurbished 13 mini, performance is still comparable to SD8GEN2/3 iOS has many features that i don't even think Android will ever have, the size is perfect and the phone looks and feels great. I hope the large phone frenzy ends sometime soon.
I had a 12 Mini and now I'm using a 14. really miss the size of the mini series, sucks that they discoutinued it; the only downside was the battery life but I'm pretty sure that this was someting that they could improve over time with newer the technologies. Sucks that any new phone nowadays would be considered a tablet a couple of years ago.
I love my 13 mini and as tempting as the 16 is I decided against it because this phone is still solid. I’m excited for the SE4 because I think Apple messed up with the SE3 by not using the X/XS or XR design. I wish Apple would at the very least keep it around and do a refresh cycle like the iPad mini. The current mini as it stands is very usable but the 4GB of ram is aging it faster than the 13 Pro and 14 series, I wish it had USB-C but otherwise I love the phone.
I had the iPhone 12mini and it was a great little phone. I had it for 2 years then traded it in for the iPhone 14 Plus because I wanted a bigger phone size. Went from that to the 15 Plus for another year. I down sized to the 16 because I missed the smaller form factor. I should have gotten the 13 mini when I had the chance miss that great feel in the hand.
@@mahmoudbinahmed4050 Not the worst. iPhone 12, SE and more have worse battery life. It's not useless and we live in an age where chargers are at every corner and in every car. Nobody needs a powerbank.
Frankly I regret traded in my 13 mini for a 16 pro, I should have keep it😢 I missed that light rose mini, the battery still hold 85% after all those years

Own one. 512 GB storage, love it! Won’t upgrade until they make another iPhone mini, or we shall see what the iPhone SE turns out to be in 2025. But very happy with my 13 mini great video! Thank you for always being detailed.
We have the same plan. I don’t plan to buy or upgrade to a new iPhone anytime soon unless Apple releases the exact same form factor as this phone. I just upgraded to 13 mini 2 months ago, coming from the 1st gen iPhone SE. I can’t go bigger than this phone now. ♥️
I have a 13 Mini in the Green color. I absolutely love it. I have, however, ordered a 16 Pro Max, which will be here on Monday. I’m excited about the upgrade but will be keeping my Mini juuuuust in case. lol
13 Mini is the best iPhone made in recent years. I think poor marketing is the reason it sold poorly - its screen is NOT small, its actually just a hare smaller than the screen on the 6, 7 and 8 plus and much larger than that on the regular models and recent SE models. For the average person the screen is absolutely useable, even for watching TH-cam videos or films on the go. This is despite the fact that the phone is actually physically smaller than the phones just listed, only a few mm larger than the 2016 SE. People shouldn’t have an issue with a physically smaller phone though if the screen is big enough. Larger bezels on a larger phone just make it heavier and less comfortable to use. The problem is, how do you market a smaller phone? Bigger = better for a lot of people, how do you disrupt that? As someone who still values the customizability and benefits of Android so, so much, i’ve been stuck with an SE 2020 for the past 4 1/2 years and am moving onto a mini. There just arn’t any good small Android flagships anymore.
Nick, you have to do us like that?😁 Last year, I had an I phone SE and was about to buy this little beauty in THAT color from Apple....who dropped it. The 13 was available for 599.00 and the mini was being sold in stores for the same price. It would have been crazy to buy that at the same price for the larger I phone, so I went for the 13. IF Apple has sold the 13 mini at 499.00, instead of dropping from the line up, quite a few people would have snapped that up. Me included.
I don’t get why Apple won’t continue mini iPhone. We have iPad mini and Mac mini, give us back the iPhone mini. They can update it every 3 - 4 years like iPad mini idc and people WHO WANT it will surely keep buying it
Still using my 13 Mini 512gb. Glad i bought the 512gb because i will stretch this phone til it becomes unusable. Maybe til 2028. If you own this, just buy the Magsafe Battery Pack and you’ll get used to it. Haha. Its my best iPhone since 2009 it’s an understatement
All are acceptable up to 64GB. As for 13GB, it will be good until that year, but you will have to replace the battery two or three times. Hahaha. But if you intend to replace it, go to a place approved by Apple.
512gb was way too expensive back then so I got 256gb is it's alright but not enough for me. Hopefully we will get a dynamic island mini if apple does a quite release.
I also have the MagSafe Battery Pack when I know I will be having a long and heavy used day. The shape and size fits perfectly snugly with 13 mini rather than
"Who is going to pay 700 plus tax when you can get a bigger phone for the same price?"...why every review is trying to push bigger is better? I dont have small hand but i still cant use bigger phones comfortably with just one hand. Its size is the reason i bought it and why i am still using it. I would be willing to buy new flagship specs phone of this size (or even smaller) but there simply isn't any.
much prefer the mini size, so much easier to put in pocket when outdoors only one drawback, the battery life has been very poor compared to the X it replaced mini X battery lasted for days, 13 mini barely lasts a day so requires a powerbank when traveling lately the foto colour appears very grey, the greens not green might be 18.1 related apparently there were 21 TWENTY-ONE urgent security flaws fixed with 18.1 i would have bought the 14 but they didnt make 14 mini, so had to buy the 13
It is so rare in my country that it cost more to buy used 13 mini rather than the original 13. For the record I paid $1,300 for 512GB 13 mini when they came out in my country because for some strange reason they only have the 512GB version in stock
I disagree on why you said people didn’t buy it. The type of people that were going to buy this phone wanted a smaller phone so of course they would spend $700 because having a bigger screen obviously didn’t matter to them. There just weren’t enough people that wanted a smaller phone. It’s a shame because I loved that phone.
I was supposed to upgrade to the 16 Pro but decided to keep the mini. Still love it. My daughter wants it as well. And even if I did upgrade to a 16 Pro, I still wouldn''t give the Mini to her. I'd ditch my Android work phone instead anc change the Mini to my work phone. That's how much I love this phone. Btw, I don't need the big scren because I also have an IPad Pro 1.9" 2020 model which still is perfect for my big screen use.
I recently got a 12 mini. Even that’s an awesome phone in 2024 and even 2025. only thing I need though is the zoom lens on the pro series, because I do take a lot of pictures. But overall the mini should come back. Even a Mini Pro would be insane
I still have my 13 mini, not a heavy user and battery is still at 100%. I recently traded in my iPhone 15 thinking I was going to buy an iPhone 15 pro or max but I’m still using the mini.😂
Tmobile tricked me into upgrading to Iphone 15 last year and I still regret trading in the 13 mini. The battery life wasn't great, but it really pushed me (between the battery and size) to reduce my screen time.
Eventually, I’m going to want Apple Intelligence, which won’t work on my iPhone 13 mini, probably next year I’ll do an upgrade. But I love the mini no brick in the pocket feeling.
I know this is not for everyone, I even never considered because of the battery life. But fr, do people really prefer the “plus” series? I don’t have the numbers but if I’m not wrong, the sales of that one were also super bad. Wish Apple retire the plus (that in terms of money doesn’t make sense because it’s a better deal to get a pro) and revive the mini series. I own a 14 pro and the 6.1 display is the bigger I manage to use, now the 16 pro is even bigger with 6.4… Edit.: The Se4 could have been the way to revive it, but apparently they will use just the 14 (same as 13) front design, I think it will never be back.
I'm a 13 mini user myself nd I absolutely love everything abt it except for one thing.. The battery doesn't rlly last me a day (Yeah my battery health is degraded but it's like after 3 years of using so).. The longevity of the battery isn't the best and people want more battery life over performance that's why apple did the 6.1 with the SE but hey! It's still gonna be the mini design with the notch instead of dynamic island. Guess we'll js have to wait for more technological advancements till they can cramp a more efficient and powercharged battery inside compact phones. Only then we might see a return of the Mini designs. ((:
It’s a good phone, coming from the SE 1. Strange enough, the SE 1 has better RAM management than this one. I come back to apps after a few minutes in the 13 Mini and they reset. As for the SE 1 some apps remain in the background for several hours. Still, I love the 13 Mini.
I love mine so much - glad that I bought it. And I use it till it dies / isnt supported anymore. And tbh. I think it will last quite a bit, I mean the first iPhone SE / iPhone 6s is still "usable" in 2024.
I'm an android z flip user considering switching to small iphone but was wondering if the 13 mini received the iOS 18 update. I read it will get it but wanted to know if anyone got it yet
I had an iphone 12 mini and traded it for an iphone 15 pro. I miss the lightness and one handed usability of smaller phones. If apple released a phone the size of the mini with 120 hz, higher 256 gb base storage, updated and more efficient chip (for future proofing and ai of course), usb-c (or no port if we’re headed for a port-less future), had a more efficient os that would make better battery life possible despite being a smaller device, and priced affordably at $599 or less. Apple would have another hit product. I personally don’t think vision pro is going to be their next big hit (unless it was more affordable).
The problem is that not even the competition are producing any Minis. Flip-phones are not minis because they weigh like large phones. The problem is that Mini users are not big consumers. They do not consume a lot online. They are minimalists. Large smartphones make it easier for users to consume more content online like long documentaries even tv series and other activities. the Mini series goes against that profile of usage. That is why all brands have decided not to invest in it. They need people locked in for over 12 hours a day minimum.
Ispent the extra money on a sapphire screen protector and its been scratch free for 3yrs. Battery seems to be slightly less since the IOS 18 update. Im annoyed
That’s a weird first take, you’re asking apple to make a mini SE or a mini Xr, not a 13 mini. 13 mini aimed to be a flagship experience in a smaller footprint, not a watered down cheaper experience
Guys the people who had this for the long term. How is the battery? My current phones battery is very bad, i charge it like 3 times a day pretty much. I want something small. And strong enough. I dont mind the lightning cable i just want to be able to use the iphone 13 mini for around 8 hours eithout having to charge it every 4 hours HAHAHAH

Had this then sold it to upgrade to a 14pro. Sold my 14 pro to buy a 13mini. This is perfect.
Where did you find a mini?
@bbtbanker marketplace. White 128gb 100% battery health for $400 cad. I actually had 2. Sold the other one last week.
Any new stock available?
@@bbtbanker facebook market place. Had 2 just recently sold the other one with 88% battery health. Got one with 100% battery health.
"Who is going to pay 700 plus tax when you can get a bigger phone for the same price?"...why every review is trying to push bigger is better? I dont have small hand but i still cant use bigger phones comfortably with just one hand. Its size is the reason i bought it and why i am still using it. I would be willing to buy new flagship specs phone of this size (or even smaller) but there simply isn't any.
much prefer the mini size, so much easier to put in pocket when outdoors
only one drawback, the battery life has been very poor compared to the X it replaced
mini X battery lasted for days, 13 mini barely lasts a day
so requires a powerbank when traveling
lately the foto colour appears very grey, the greens not green might be 18.1 related
apparently there were 21 TWENTY-ONE urgent security flaws fixed with 18.1
i would have bought the 14 but they didnt make 14 mini, so had to buy the 13
Many of my friends who got this mini, still have it… somehow they seem to like this form factor
Just got my battery replacement for free with my apple care plus
It is so rare in my country that it cost more to buy used 13 mini rather than the original 13. For the record I paid $1,300 for 512GB 13 mini when they came out in my country because for some strange reason they only have the 512GB version in stock
Still love the size. Wont be switching any time soon.
I’ve always wanted a Starlight 13 mini
I was supposed to upgrade to the 16 Pro but decided to keep the mini. Still love it. My daughter wants it as well.
And even if I did upgrade to a 16 Pro, I still wouldn''t give the Mini to her. I'd ditch my Android work phone instead anc change the Mini to my work phone. That's how much I love this phone.
Btw, I don't need the big scren because I also have an IPad Pro 1.9" 2020 model which still is perfect for my big screen use.
13 mini top!
I recently got a 12 mini. Even that’s an awesome phone in 2024 and even 2025. only thing I need though is the zoom lens on the pro series, because I do take a lot of pictures. But overall the mini should come back. Even a Mini Pro would be insane
Where did you find your mini?
I still have my 13 mini, not a heavy user and battery is still at 100%. I recently traded in my iPhone 15 thinking I was going to buy an iPhone 15 pro or max but I’m still using the mini.😂
Tmobile tricked me into upgrading to Iphone 15 last year and I still regret trading in the 13 mini. The battery life wasn't great, but it really pushed me (between the battery and size) to reduce my screen time.
They need to bring back Product RED phones. That looks fantastic.
Yes they do especially on the pros we have yet to see a product red
Eventually, I’m going to want Apple Intelligence, which won’t work on my iPhone 13 mini, probably next year I’ll do an upgrade. But I love the mini no brick in the pocket feeling.
I know this is not for everyone, I even never considered because of the battery life. But fr, do people really prefer the “plus” series? I don’t have the numbers but if I’m not wrong, the sales of that one were also super bad.
Wish Apple retire the plus (that in terms of money doesn’t make sense because it’s a better deal to get a pro) and revive the mini series. I own a 14 pro and the 6.1 display is the bigger I manage to use, now the 16 pro is even bigger with 6.4…
Edit.: The Se4 could have been the way to revive it, but apparently they will use just the 14 (same as 13) front design, I think it will never be back.
If they still made that size I'd still be using an iPhone 😊😊😅
If Apple had any common sense they would use the Mini design for the SE4....we don't need a 6.1 SE4 when you could just buy a 14
I'm a 13 mini user myself nd I absolutely love everything abt it except for one thing..
Great video brother
It’s a good phone, coming from the SE 1. Strange enough, the SE 1 has better RAM management than this one. I come back to apps after a few minutes in the 13 Mini and they reset. As for the SE 1 some apps remain in the background for several hours. Still, I love the 13 Mini.
How do you think iphone 13 mini will be compared to upcoming 2025 se
I love mine so much - glad that I bought it. And I use it till it dies / isnt supported anymore. And tbh. I think it will last quite a bit, I mean the first iPhone SE / iPhone 6s is still "usable" in 2024.
I'm an android z flip user considering switching to small iphone but was wondering if the 13 mini received the iOS 18 update. I read it will get it but wanted to know if anyone got it yet
@ I have it since day 1 and even got the beta a few months ago - just the Siri part of the update I didn’t get
I had an iphone 12 mini and traded it for an iphone 15 pro.
Regular iPhone, lighter than 12, there are still new ones, 128, good at least
hi do u still use the camera listed in your description?
Really love the size 😍
😮
Made my 14 look like pro max😂😂
The problem is that not even the competition are producing any Minis. Flip-phones are not minis because they weigh like large phones. The problem is that Mini users are not big consumers. They do not consume a lot online. They are minimalists. Large smartphones make it easier for users to consume more content online like long documentaries even tv series and other activities. the Mini series goes against that profile of usage. That is why all brands have decided not to invest in it. They need people locked in for over 12 hours a day minimum.
Watching this on my iPhone 13 mini 🤪
13 mini is the best, I wish thay add telephoto cameras in mini…
i’m gonna sell my 12 pro and get this
Ispent the extra money on a sapphire screen protector and its been scratch free for 3yrs. Battery seems to be slightly less since the IOS 18 update. Im annoyed
How does it hold up on iOS 18 ?
Haven’t noticed any performance changes so far. It feels as fast as 3 years ago due to the A15 bionic processor which the 14 models also use.
Thinking about getting this as a secondary device. - pixel guy
this phone made me change over from Android. then literally everything i liked, Apple changed moving forward.
How do we get Apple to bring back the Mini?!
is it still worth to buy a iphone 13 mini??
the mini looks actually mini in your hands, in mine it’s kinda big still
The last proper iPhone that was true to the original philosophy. Cancel brickphones!
I buy the pro max for the winter each year and then go back to the mini for summer.
Do u have like really big hands??? 😭 because like my 12 mini isn't that tiny in my hands
Nick, tab s10 ultra vs m4 13 inch m4 speedtest ? S24 FE ???
The 'PROBLEM' was releasing it right after an ALSO smaller sized SE.
what's up with the increased font size, pretty annoying on 5.4 inch imo
That’s a weird first take, you’re asking apple to make a mini SE or a mini Xr, not a 13 mini. 13 mini aimed to be a flagship experience in a smaller footprint, not a watered down cheaper experience
The best form factor phone from Apple. The only con of this phone is the 60 hz display .
Omg it’s so cuuuute
Guys the people who had this for the long term. How is the battery?
My current phones battery is very bad, i charge it like 3 times a day pretty much.
I want something small. And strong enough. I dont mind the lightning cable i just want to be able to use the iphone 13 mini for around 8 hours eithout having to charge it every 4 hours HAHAHAH
iPhone 11 5 years honest: MY DAMN HEAT UNDER THE CAMERA WHEN I PLAY GAMES
If mini phone comes under budget always big hit
I still use it, battery health is at 95%
W. Waiting for s24 plus vs 16/pro and one ui 7 vs iOS 18.1 with ai !
I have one and I wish I got the full size one. Battery is awful. I bet if I changed it though, I would miss the ability to truly use one handed
Why’s it still on iOS 17
Coz he dint upgrade
@@Esormi1243 but why didn’t he if iOS 18 has been out to the public for over a month now
@@appl_ai_cupertinoit’ll
Probably put more stress on the phone or something
@@depthbomb94 how
Mine is still great
Nick's brain:How many iphone videos will you make
Nick's brain:yes...
Sir I am getting iPhone 13 mini for around 65-70k PKR and iPhone 13 for around 80-90k PKR should I buy 13 or 13 mini I am a heavy user
I think the battery life was its downfall.
