@@Psstee My A55 has a dual physical SIM slot (and also supports ESIM as well), however one of the physical SIM slots is also the memory expansion card slot. So you can have 2 physical SIM cards and no memory card or you can have a memory card but only 1 physical SIM card. That isn't a problem for me as I've never needed more memory than the phone has but it might be for other people.
Yeah, but is this worth upgrading to from the Samsung A52s ? How do they compare... from Late-2021 versus Early-2024, its about 2.5 years. Surely we should expect real-world improvements to performance, battery life, display, camera, build quality, and software. Right ?
Tempted to upgrade my A53 with this as I have never been happy with the speed and it seems to glitch quite a lot. With £150 off S23 FE and with a BLC I can get a 256gb for £434.
I'm stunned to see it has slimmer bezels than the S23 Fe. Looks like all Samsung phones have that squared off design on the rails and a large, heavy phone. Not that I'd buy an A Series ever again after my 1st (in) experience buying one because I liked the design long ago..
Development of the mid rangers has really levelled off over the last few years. The only reason why I will upgrade my a52s is when it falls apart or when security updates expire next year. Also I prefer a plastic back like on my a52s, it doesn't smudge and feels good in the hands and is very light and slim and elegant. Seems like a chunky design is in at the moment
I got this phone and really like it. For the price you really can't go wrong. It is half the price of the flagship phones and I just can't justify spending €1000+ on a phone. It must have been a recent update but my a55 has got the circle to search feature.
Bought an ice blue 256gb A55 2 days ago, very happy with how the phone feels in my hand (much nicer than my A34) and it feels smoother and faster as well. I'm not a gamer (that's not the intended market for this phone anyway) and the speed is perfectly OK. The bezels are a bit big but that's not a deal breaker. Would I have an S23 plus instead? Of course... but thats not in my budget and this will do fine 🙂
@@zz5aa not really, it has just a liiiittle tint of blue but you wont notice it unless you really focus on it and try to see it(also depends on lighting)
Have the A 52 5G. 3 years and still going strong. Will eventually upgrade, but wasn't impressed with the A 54 at all, compared to the A 52. Not any better. So now I watched your excellent review of the A55 and think I will wait till the A56 comes out! Still using the A50 as a backup phone. Never problems with the batteries on both phones. I'm not too crazy about the metal frames though and the glass back. I actually prefer plastic. I never have been an Apple fan. Also looking at Motorola's.
This might be a good replacement for my Galaxy S10 E, still going strong but battery life is dramatic after 5 years good usage. SD card slot is a BIG win for me!🔥
S10e battery is horrendous. I'm typing this on mine now while it's on the charger and I just charged it about 3 hours ago. I'm also considering this A55 as a replacement
I have a note10 that has no battery life. The battery lasts about 1 or 2 hours before I have to start charging it and if it gets to 15% it just dies within minutes. I’m in Australia and only the main carriers do phone payments with your phone now and then charge you a fortune for service. So you have to buy a phone outright or on credit card or something like zip. Not having a spare $1200 to $1500 to spend on a phone I bought this one yesterday. It’s literally been in Australia a day or two ago. And I reviewed a tonne of phones. I was considering the a53 before this came out. I also have a Samsung watch so I mean… this was still $699 in Australia with free Samsung air pods. But looking around our phones are more expensive and Samsung phones don’t seem to lose value we also have a massive grey market. Which means if you buy a phone of the wrong dodgy dealers and it’s an international phone it won’t work properly here. You might snag a slightly cheaper phone but it won’t connect properly, get most Australian apps or get any of the updates or support it’s supposed to especially from Samsung. They have done it to protect us from crappy sellers but the crappy sellers are still selling the phones at a high price and just writing international on them and most Australian buyers don’t know. Also so far we only have lilac and blue (black? ) here.
@Jesko_VRS You'll be disappointed with the camera. I'm certain the S10e can snap better photos. Get a refurb, slightly older S series. You'll really feel the upgrade.
Did you know there's a 48hz framerate cap in the gaming hub? Start genshin when it goes full screen swipe left from the USB port side hit the controller and go in to turn off 48hz limiter.

Upgraded from A51 4G.. Just bought A54 5G 8/256GB for $320 brand new. I choose A54 5G over than this because it has smaller screen size for my small hands. Just a minimal upgrade hardware design, same camera and battery capacity.
@@Crabby.1 To add up, the Ultrawide camera of the A35 is 8MP and Selfie cam is only 13MP compared to A54 5G ultrawide 12MP and selfie cam is 32MP respectively.
So I'm guessing some of that 256GB storage gets used after first turning the phone on. How much would you say gets used by the phone without downloading any apps/games?
Excellent review! My mother currently has a Galaxy A70, but that cell phone is already slow and causes a lot of problems. We wanted to give her a new one this year and we decided on this one, it's perfect for my mother's needs (she doesn't need top-notch performance) and I think she's going to love it. She's also used to Samsung phones so I believe it's perfect for her. The price for me is quite good and in my country they included a Galaxy Fit 3 and a replacement band as a gift, so I am quite satisfied with the purchase. I can't wait to see my mom's reaction when we deliver it to her! Thank u for the video 😊
You two might wanna check on the comfort level since this A55 is said to be quite heavy. Your mothers might find it uncomfortable holding the device for a prolonged period of time.
@joshsangabby I personally believe the A35 is a better fit for those not doing a whole lot with their phones. Basically an A54 with longer software support.

i never will understand why someone would buy this for this price you get a redmi k70 for less the price and its the way better phone cpu 8 gen 2 better display everything better
1. Redmi K70 stays in China, although it may come to the global market as a POCO of the F line 2. HyperOS, despite being much better than miui, is still inferior to OneUI in terms of experience (Ads, Bloatware, more trimmed compared to China and updates are a russian roulette because sometimes your phone optimizes well or badly ). 3. HyperOS algorithms in the mid-range are still not well polished despite the fact that the Xiaomis offer more advanced hardware. 4. Xiaomi phones do not tend to age very well over time, many people find their devices quite slow after performances (including me who had a Redmi Note 10)
Actually, I'm not sure, but I do have some doubts about whether it's a good deal to go for a mid-range product. I always think it might be better to buy a refurbished or second-hand phone that is two or three years old, or even older, which would cost the same price, but at least you're getting something that was considered high-end at the time. For the same price, you get something that is mid-range-is it really worth it after all? Wouldn't it be better to spend 500 euros on an old flagship that was top-of-the-line at its release rather than spending the same amount on something mediocre that you will keep for several years? That's the question I'm pondering.
Great review! I am really curious about 5k battery. Is it really worth of it? I got used to iPhone and now I am really in doubt if A55 is a better choice 🤔

Can we all agree that the ice blue is in fact white? I can't see any blue at all
Yup
Nah you js blind
I have an ice blue A55... in real life it's a very pale blueish colour.
@geoffh784 does the A55 have dual physical sim sloth?
@@Psstee My A55 has a dual physical SIM slot (and also supports ESIM as well), however one of the physical SIM slots is also the memory expansion card slot. So you can have 2 physical SIM cards and no memory card or you can have a memory card but only 1 physical SIM card. That isn't a problem for me as I've never needed more memory than the phone has but it might be for other people.
the wallpaper states this guy is man of culture!!
Thanks for reviewing this a55 come out tomorrow in Hong Kong god bless you
Yeah, but is this worth upgrading to from the Samsung A52s ?
How do they compare... from Late-2021 versus Early-2024, its about 2.5 years. Surely we should expect real-world improvements to performance, battery life, display, camera, build quality, and software. Right ?
No. Get the nothing phone 2a or wait for pixel 8a. Or maybe one plus if its a good deal. Samsung A series ain't it anymore.
Would it kill Samsung to give it uniform bezels?
Tempted to upgrade my A53 with this as I have never been happy with the speed and it seems to glitch quite a lot. With £150 off S23 FE and with a BLC I can get a 256gb for £434.
0:10 in south east asian markets, 4G still remains the dominant phone network
I'm stunned to see it has slimmer bezels than the S23 Fe.
Looks like all Samsung phones have that squared off design on the rails and a large, heavy phone.
Not that I'd buy an A Series ever again after my 1st (in) experience buying one because I liked the design long ago..
IT HAS MICRO SD CARD SUPPORT!!!
Yeah, it has!
My brother has beef with ed sheeran 😂
As he should
Loved listening to your review, you're hilarious!
Watching this on my new A55 5G :)
How is it?
I got this phone and really like it. For the price you really can't go wrong. It is half the price of the flagship phones and I just can't justify spending €1000+ on a phone. It must have been a recent update but my a55 has got the circle to search feature.
Please review the Galaxy A35 5G
No
5:00 I just bought it a few days ago with 256 storage but it doesn't have Samsung Wallet 😢
Is it better to buy this phone or a brand new S22? they are the same price where i live
The only problem with s22 is battery capacity. If you don't mind abput it, then pick s22 instead
you can't go wrong whichever you choose. I chose A54 as A55 is too large and S22 doesn't have microsd slot and will get a year less of updates.
You unpacked it very well for me. I'm sold. Thank you

@NaturalAdventure444 South Africa
Does it actually look blue at all? I can't see anything but white
@@zz5aa not really, it has just a liiiittle tint of blue but you wont notice it unless you really focus on it and try to see it(also depends on lighting)
@@zz5aa It's barely pale blue...
Which one do you considere as the best for video/vlogging.This , or the xiaomi redmi note 13+ 5g
Are they not selling this in the US?
Nope
SD card slot is a BIG win for me!🔥
the battery life has gotten real bad💔
Also so far we only have lilac and blue (black? ) here.
@Jesko_VRS
You'll be disappointed with the camera.
Great Review, think this is a better upgrade from A54 to A55 than it was from A53 to A54, like the Key Island design and bigger Size, and long update support👍👍
What's the A55 like compared to the A54?
A54 is far better than the a53, that phone was complete trash.
Size arguably worse
thanks :) this was delight review ;) bought 2 pcs to mine parents :) they`ve wanted something good & with tollerable price point mmm :D 310 euro per 1pc is pretty OK :)
Upgraded from A51 4G.. Just bought A54 5G 8/256GB for $320 brand new. I choose A54 5G over than this because it has smaller screen size for my small hands. Just a minimal upgrade hardware design, same camera and battery capacity.
U should have bought the a35 instead . It's basically a better a54 . But if u like smaller phones then I understand
@@Crabby.1 To add up, the Ultrawide camera of the A35 is 8MP and Selfie cam is only 13MP compared to A54 5G ultrawide 12MP and selfie cam is 32MP respectively.
Thank you for your excellent explanation that helps me decide which on to buy, A35 or A55.
best girl from bocchi fr, nice review
I was eyeing the Galaxy A55 to replace my A51 that served me well. I guess the Kikuri wallpaper is a sign from the heavens.
I got mine yesterday in Lilac 256g😊
Ordered this yesterday directly from Samsung got it for £240 with a £50 any mobile/condition trade in.
These guy is fun to watch ❤
So I'm guessing some of that 256GB storage gets used after first turning the phone on. How much would you say gets used by the phone without downloading any apps/games?
Bro has a beef with Ed sheeran😂
Great review! My question is.. about the wallpaper! Which one is that? ! Men! Looks awesome on the screen
will we get that after a week\month review?
My mother has an A71 but she still loves it. Might check with her carrier if she can get the A55.
Glad I went for the 2a over this, needed something to replace my a51 as it was slowing right down and it's been brilliant so far also I liked the video for the dougal reference lol
2a is a much better choice.
I like the wallpapers you are using on your reviews, where do you get them?
SD CARD SLOT IS A MUST!!
Where do I get one
Definitely!
Hello, TechSpurt
I really love your videos especially the anime wallpapers! Can u put the link where you get em?
Thanks i was waiting for this review
Bought this phone through a carrier deal for like € 265 for my mom. Absolute steal.
i never will understand why someone would buy this for this price you get a redmi k70 for less the price and its the way better phone cpu 8 gen 2 better display everything better
1. Redmi K70 stays in China, although it may come to the global market as a POCO of the F line
Bezels are somewhat better but Samsung made them bigger on both the A54and the FE 23 which looks awful compared to the FE 21..
Finally a review!
I've seen a few reviews, but I've been waiting for this one, though.
I'm stuck between the Samsung A55 or Nothing 2a 🤔
Upgrading from a Samsung A52s
Any recommendations..
THE WHALPAPER BUT GOOD VID
Nice phone. Where did you get your wallpaper? Thanks and More Power! ❤
how nobody knows where he is getting his wallpapers from 😭
Ikr
😭😭😭😭
it’s call Kikuri Hiroi Anime Bocchi The Rock!
Those wallpapers are ugly🤧
Actually, I'm not sure, but I do have some doubts about whether it's a good deal to go for a mid-range product. I always think it might be better to buy a refurbished or second-hand phone that is two or three years old, or even older, which would cost the same price, but at least you're getting something that was considered high-end at the time.
For the same price, you get something that is mid-range-is it really worth it after all?
Wouldn't it be better to spend 500 euros on an old flagship that was top-of-the-line at its release rather than spending the same amount on something mediocre that you will keep for several years?
That's the question I'm pondering.
I am still using Samsung S10+ It just works.
Is it just me or does this blower look a bit too wide for a phone? Its verging on a tablet, it should be longer not wider for 6.6 inch screen.
It's roughly the same size as the S24+ or iphone 15+
Morons when they realize midrange phones performs like a midranger: 😮😮😮
Great review! I am really curious about 5k battery. Is it really worth of it? I got used to iPhone and now I am really in doubt if A55 is a better choice 🤔
