This laptop is truly impressive! I purchased it and couldn’t be happier. I plan to use external monitors to keep an eye on my OLED monitor. And wireless microphones are a fantastic idea for wedding videography. Best of luck with your work!
Thanks for gr8 informative video also covering burn-in warranty too. May be Mini-Led is the way to go for in 2024. I think and hope that in 2 years time, we will start seeing QD-OLED panel in laptops with burn-in covered for minimum of 3 years.
I year warranty is crazy short. Though having said that I've used an LG B9 OLED for gaming around ten hours per week since 2019 and have no burn in issues. But i have started to notice small clusters of dead pixels around the edges of the screen for the last year. Not such a big issue on a 55" screen, but would be problematic on a 16" one.

I’m currently going to Full Sail University studying Digital Cinematography and I would be able to use those microphones for broll and interviews for future productions! I have an LG OLED TV I use with a PS5. There was a lot of talk of burn in with that. They ended up fixing it with some sort of software driven fix. I've only had to run that once, and everything is still top notch. So I can imagine these will have similar software problem resolution capabilities.

Just the cameras mic with background noise as minimal as possible. Appreciate the feedback, I'd like to get more technical but this is only the 2nd laptop review I've done so there's a lot to learn but I do the best with where I'm at.

Im an independent writer/animator working on a project currently and i would like to implement motion capture to my animating and thanks to softwares like rokoko, it will be much easier to do so, to avoid having to pre-record the voice actors and having to sync the animation afterwards, placing wireless microphones on the actors to capture both the physical performances and vocal performances at once, would make for a much more convincing performance, plus it could help the actors be more convincing in their vocal performances. I appreciate this opportunity and enjoyed the review very much. Thank you😁

I boosted dbs slightly so you can hear it in the video but even setting them to silent mode helps. It's a lot quieter than the MSI I tested a few videos back

I am on the fence between the G16 and the scar 16. Both 4090. My struggles are bright mini led vs inki black oled. And full 175w TGP in the scar vs the 125w TGP in the G16. Any thoughts

The difference between the 4080 and 4090 is confusing, like the 4080 has higher clockspeed and 12gb gddr6 while the 4090 has lower clockspeed (than the 4080 fir the same power) but has a 16gb gddr6.
It’s just how the particular GPU’s run. Each die will have different minimum and maximum clock speeds. Like the 4070 will run at like 2700MHz or higher but it doesn’t make it higher performing, it’s WAY below the 4080/4090. Things like cache, cuda cores, tensor cores, wattage, etc. all affect the performance much more than clocks (usually).
For 3d studio max, blender and photoshop do you think is better to pick the g16 or the pro art studiobook 16 oled? Keeping in mind that I already have a desktop pc and I need the laptop for classes for a master in archiviz wit 3ds (corona and vray)
This might be late but it really depends on what you want as the G16 is more thinner and lighter and better battery life and most likely heat management , also do you need that control wheel on the studiobook 16 oled, also do you need 64gigs of ram or 32 gigs of ram, also the G16 have much better laptop speakers as it is the best sounding laptop speakers I have heard so far. They both seem like they have the same display but tuned differently as the G16 have a lower latency and almost to no or no screen tear but the typical brightness is between 400 to 450nits and HDR brightness of about 500 maybe a little above 500nits.

The version with 64 gb of ram, 4070 and core 9 ultra, the screen seems more oriented towards photographer and graphic content in general. I do care a lot about heat and noise but not so much about battery life and zero interest in speakers(i always use earbuds). Do you by any chance have something else to recommend? I never thought I would have such difficulty with this choice

got this laptop a couple of days ago and already having problems with it games are not running smooth and immersive the way they should be it’s a 240hz refresh rate display having problems with errors and overheating oled screen doesn’t look as nice as it should be same for the gpu graphic fidelity wise got the rtx 4080 version with intel core ultra 9 32 gb ram just not how i expected it to be ordered it from Best Buy and didn’t come with any booklets/manuals and the extra usb c charger just got the big power brick it comes with so I believe I got scammed they said they ordered it I believe asus website and now the computer I have ain’t doing so good anymore planning on bringing it back to Best Buy soon and see if they can fix the issues with running tests and all that to see if they can fix the issues I’m having and hopefully get me right and actually enjoy my system gaming wise or whatever I want to use it for
Looking for a replacement for my older ROG, this may fit the bill. I'm doing strictly only music production (Ableton Live and many VSts) - don't care about the GPU performance at all. Fan noise and heat were the big issues with my last ROG, wondering if this one can be made to stay quiet. Also I'd want to max out the RAM and NVME storage.

yes but the max it can do is performance mode. However, it's not good to play games while charging via the tb4 port as the battery is getting stressed hard.

Honestly I just keep myself distracted with this TH-cam stuff. I live with the symptoms everyday so after years of it I think my brain has just adjusted to it so while I'll never be normal again, I've settled into my "new normal" enough to be productive. That said I can't work a regular job because I have no consistency with feeling ok one day then totally spaced out the next so I'm just doing what I can to get by.
Unfortunately I had to return mine. The fans were always very noticeable even when just browsing the internet. It’s a shame because it’s a perfect laptop in every other way.

With that said, I recently came across another review where it’s noted that G-helper is a better alternative for fan control. I repurchased the pc and can confirm that you can achieve true silent mode with that software instead of armoury crate.
Oled "deep black" can only be observed in near dark environment. In ANY ambient light you will be looking at your reflection in the mirror. On any glossy screen, dark scenes are torture. And IPS is just as good in light scenes. Why nobody talking about this enough ?
I bought it. Used it for four days then returned it. Poor ergonomics, incredibly noisy fan, erratic performance, loaded with system killing bloatware like armor crate. In short, technical rubbish.

The Fan noise is pretty bad. Could you install g-helper and ramp down the RPM of the middle fan then test it again?

that fan noise is too much. New Lenova Yoga, only 4070 if my memory is correct, is up to 10db quieter while still keeping cool. great vid

Any OLED has a burn in risk which is why even the latest QD-OLED panels come with a 3 year warranty

Even on quiet mode there's still a whistle, I believe it comes from the 3 fan design which not every model of this laptop has.

The linus effect....Ever reviewer doesnt give BUY...they say...its great but just one issue....they will review everything like this form now on.
There are products I give straight up negative reviews to and some I praise, but I'm sure there are plenty of videos titled that way.

Honestly I just keep myself distracted with this TH-cam stuff. I live with the symptoms everyday so after years of it I think my brain has just adjusted to it so while I'll never be normal again, I've settled into my "new normal" enough to be productive. That said I can't work a regular job because I have no consistency with feeling ok one day then totally spaced out the next so I'm just doing what I can to get by.
Unfortunately I had to return mine. The fans were always very noticeable even when just browsing the internet. It’s a shame because it’s a perfect laptop in every other way.
There is a silent mode. Sounds like you couldn't figure out the software control.
@@jeremydemitchell841 silent mode in armory crate did nothing unfortunately. With that said, I recently came across another review where it’s noted that G-helper is a better alternative for fan control. I repurchased the pc and can confirm that you can achieve true silent mode with that software instead of armoury crate.
Fans have high pitched sound, not very pleasant
Oled "deep black" can only be observed in near dark environment. In ANY ambient light you will be looking at your reflection in the mirror. On any glossy screen, dark scenes are torture. And IPS is just as good in light scenes. Why nobody talking about this enough ?
I bought it. Used it for four days then returned it. Poor ergonomics, incredibly noisy fan, erratic performance, loaded with system killing bloatware like armor crate. In short, technical rubbish.
Go for MacBook pro M3 pro😅
