They most likely looked into the code and found coding errors to exploit.

Al C actually those aren't pants, but an un-textured surface, because that's the color used in the game's development before the surface gets its texture
It looks shaded and stuff though
they might have added shade to it I'm not 100% sure
@@Vendela_309 That is indeed a texture, otherwise it would be one solid color, and the color used before a surface gets textured is usually white or grey anyways

How the fuck do people discover these kinds of glitches that require such specific placement of camera, character model, then button presses/actions and followup actions, and then further placement/movements.

But I mean like, the Zelda speedrun trick where you can fuckaround with a specific door at the first boss, that suddenly teleports you to the end game cinematic to fight gannon...how did people discover the timing and positioning required to trigger that portal?
Stuff like that drives me nuts.
Or the sethbling I think it was, literally doing CODING work in Super Mario by specific actions in order to glitch it to give the victory screen and end the game.

Well in the original you can find some glitches by just having a combination of bad skills and luck, this made a following, I would imagine, of people spending time trying complicated stuff. But I also assume someone has done a lot of analysing the code and controls of the game

Oh I know. Its pretty broken. I just wonder how the heck anyone ever figured out all this stuff. It makes me wonder just how long all these people do it is all. Its very complex.

Fun fact: retaining the glitches from the original was actually an intentional design decision.
I don't follow. If retaining glitches was intentional, why is the door of time wider so we can't glitch through it? You also can't climb on the rails next to Jabu-Jabu and jump attack in. I also haven't seen Infinite Sword, and they changed Deku sticks to no longer do Master Sword damage. It's small stuff, but seems odd if they were trying to keep the original glitches.
they kept some and took out some too. also they added on some glitches exclusive for this game too but the point is that the developers wanted the same feel you got from playing the original to be there with the remake

This is the first time I have ever seen glitches for this version. Ironically, I don't watch speedruns for this remake, but nonetheless, this was really interesting to see, especially the fishing pole glitch.

Yo I was messing around with death hole wrong warp and got to a cut scene with sheke. It works the same as the goddess cut scene

Yeah, this is good to give you a general feel of what the games are like. It's also got some of the best music, dungeons, and bosses in the series.
Go for Wind weaker if you can.

+Carramel Dancer Definitely. You should get this one, then buy Majoras Mask. Personally, I believe the 3ds versions are amazing for graphics, adventure, and satisfaction, so if that's what you want, then 3ds is for you. If you want a feel for all this but for a first experience done the way of the late 90's masterpiece, then get the N64 originals of Oot and MM. :)

The really easy out-of-bounds in Zora's domain is actually useful for the biggoron sword sidequest. You can get the eyeball frog to the scientist very quickly.

"As programmers, we wanted to get rid of bugs, but the staff members who had played the old game said the bugs were fun. It wouldn't be fun if your friends couldn't say, 'Do you know about this?' So we left them in if they didn't cause any trouble and were beneficial. If something simply could not be allowed to stand, we begrudgingly fixed it, so some bugs don't appear. But we left in as many as we could, so people will grin over that," explained Moriya.[16] Eiji Aonuma, producer of the original game, said that a desire to make Ocarina of Time 3D more "formidable" was behind the decision to adjust the Master Quest for the remastering of the classic Nintendo 64 adventure.[17]

Okay, you know what? I've just about decided that the character that needs to be in Hyrule Warriors the most is actually "Glitch Link." That might actually be the raddest thing.
Also, and this is completely unrelated to awesome glitch stuff, man I love the Forest Temple. Like, everything about it is right up my alley. I would love for that place to get a spiritual successor in the new game, or hell, even just a remix of the song would be nice.

Working on it. I have a file I did all of these glitches on (The 2 file needed ones like NG+ I did that on it) its extremely corrupted. I even had it disappear and I had to redo it many times. (Edit): If it wasn't clear the working on it meant I'm trying to beat the game no glitch.

This next glitch must be preformed by standing in this exact spot. Go into view mode and slightly tap the circle pad right 3 times so links hair will clip through this sign at a 47 degree angle. Then equip the iron boots and in the same frame press A, B and double tap R. Then rotate the circle pad 270 degrees with barely any pressure while jiggling the the power button. If done correctly you should have clipped through the wall and been able to skip the room without opening the door. :P
Rewatching this in 2019, and the glitches here still amaze me. Love some Ocarina of Time 3D.
Whenever I have to see the King Zora cutcene, I pass the time by saying "How long does it take for King Zora to move?" before the cutscene starts, then I say "A week, a week, a week..." as he's saying "Mweep, mweep, mweep..." It's unoriginal but it's funny. XD

You can also use the megaflip to get past the hookshot pit at the beginning of the Shadow Temple as Young Link. I did this as a kid and I beat Bongo Bongo as Young Link.

This glitch only exists due to a glitch in the N64 version: where if you left the area after digging up the heart piece, but never collecting it, it would be lost forever and you couldn't get 20 hearts (that is, if you don't go and get the 37th heart piece. Just look that up.) In order to fix that, they made it possible to get it if you left, however they over-fixed it and you can still dig it up even if you collected it.

the only one that's actually really easy to pull off is going inside the 3rd zora dungeon as adult link. i tried it and it worked
When i was trying to get to the bottom of the well, the Cucco never stayed still and it took almost 30 minutes to do. I eventually just threw all the cuccos near the sign and tried that a few times. I didnt even know what to do after getting into the well so i had just wasted about an hour of my day.
fun fact:as adult link,you can do any temple other than the forest temple first if you just get the item that you receive from the previous temple before that
The out of bounds clip in lake hylia is definitely useful. You can use it to clip the loading zone for lake hylia in order to get there faster than walking all the way through hyrule field.

The well boulder was probably there to stop getting to the well early, and the more common way of doing that is causing the cucco attack scene to play while falling into the well by jumpslashing a cucco that's on the well's edge. Since the cuccos are gone at night, it wasn't considered needed to block the entrance.
I know this video is a few years old but for the triple slash clip to escape kokiri forest, you don’t actually have to break the sign, it just makes the clip slightly easier if you do break it

It wouldn't matter because Majora's Mask 3D was patched a while back and the only known glitches that still work are the ones that need bombs and the Fierce deity with the help of restricted items and the picto box
I think i now know why navi goes away at the end of the game BEACUSE OF THE UNGRATEFULL PLAYERS THAT HATED HER FOR HELPING YOU

You did it! I was able to perform the Death Hole Wrong Warp glitch and get rid of the interface. I went to Kakariko Village and could here the burning of the houses from the Nocturne cutscene, thus confirming I was in Beta Quest! Sadly I was never able to figure out how to get rid of the blackness. I'm kind of surprised it's as simple as using a deku nut. I would think I must have tried that (maybe it doesn't work in some cases?). In any case, I had to use a Gameshark to hack the N64 version to access Beta Quest, so I was excited that you could glitch your way in in OoT 3D, but disappointed when I couldn't get rid of the blackness. Now I wish I still had access to a copy of this game so that I could explore more of Beta Quest in OoT 3D!
Funny note about using Farore's Wind anywhere.
The Running Man counts it as a warp, thus invalidating the race.
...He still somehow beat the one second it took me to get to the bridge with it, though.

Sorry bout the wait, I couldn't find it for a long time, then I guess I forgot about it.
I remember a glitch where if you saved the game while on epona with the biggoron sword or something like that, save and exit, start a new file, you can start the game with link two-handedly wielding the master sword in a downward position and it's funny looking.

The clip in Zora's Domain can be used to cheese a timed event to get the big goron's sword, however it's incredibly hard to do the clip in master quest for some reason
I found another glitch in OOT 3D version, when you clip through the wall in Zora's domain as Adult Link if you look over to the store section you can actually jump into there while it's blocked off by the red ice, it has no use to it but I thought it was kinda cool, you can just walk out of the store to fix it and not be trapped
crazy people are still playing this. Im taking breaks from TOTK to play OOT in 3D. The 3D makes the game even that much better.

The reason Nintendo kept the glitches was because they wanted 64 players version to still be able to talk about glitches and stuff to a 3DS players.
Unless they reused the n64 game and just remade it for 3ds and the glitches are still there
Fun fact: the new game + actually works for master sword and biggoron sword, when master sword is equipped you’ll have a Kokiri sword without a sheath and with biggoron sword you’ll have a two handed upside down master sword

I used to do the crooked cart glitch on my original gold Ocarina of Time for N64. My thumb has worn the label away where I used to grip the cartridge. This brings back memories...
I've never tried that! I have two OOT cartridges, so I should try it on the less important one! Also have two perfect darks and a few extra cool games including MC 64. I've never been able to pull off a cartridge tilt glitch, but I'll keep trying
instead of having a bottle on the b button, i ended up having my hylian shield acting like a biggaron sword, which I dont even have!

+shadowforce12 The item you have is actually a deku stick, but since Adult Link isn't supposed to use deku sticks, they appear as the shield. You need to break all of your deku sticks and then dupe a bottle over them.

It's always interesting when there are tons of glitches in a game, but none that you're likely to notice on an ordinary playthrough. Ratchet & Clank (PS4) and Uncharted 4 are good examples of games with tons of interesting glitches, but I never encountered any (gameplay affecting) glitches when I played them.

I found a demo cart of this game for cheap. It has the lost woods blocked off, but I was able to get the glitch to get behind the guy. It took a while, but it was fun to try this. I see why you do this.
I got to Hyrule Field, and tried to enter the market, but it crashed, so I don't know if that was the demo timer ending in a spot it wasn't intended or if that area wasn't programmed into the demo cart, but it was interesting none the less.
after using glitches to leave kokiri forest without collecting the spiritual stone, i continued through the game and collected the others. it seems the cutscene with zelda on the horse isn’t triggered without all three stones

1:Bottom of the well early
2:Hook shot clip for gerudo training ground
*Nintendo did leave a LOT of these glitches in from the original version just for stuff like speed running. They could have even added a couple of glitches in intentionally.*

If you escape kokiri forest early and gat to kakariko before you get the ocarina, the game will think you have the ocarina of time when you hold a cuccoo for some reason, but fixes itself when you throw the cuccoo.

I am having trouble too, I've tried 15 times already...
I don't know why I don't have this video in my liked videos or somewhere I can find it easily since I had a file where I had on OoT 3D and I obviously had managed some sort of early exit as I had the chicken from the young farm girl and the fairy ocarina. Honestly I remember I think I pulled both off in the past but I once found the triple slash exit easier once once I got it down in the past but this time I just couldn't line things up right for it because I haven't done it in a few years so I triple slash dived out. Yeah your video is awesome. Honestly I looked this video up since I know I watched it before but I was trying to pull off the regular OoT Navi dive to get out because I remembered the dive thing and it involving Navi so this video really helped me out. I honestly figured "Well if I already glitched it in the past and got the chicken and the fairy ocarina so I might as well glitch out of here again and do the Deku Tree later instead of doing it now when coming back to this file and getting out normally. After all it would defeat all the hard work I did glitching out of there in the past on this file."
Oh and I also noticed in OoT 3D that the moon has 3 dark triangle craters on it in the shape of the complete triforce.
did that first!one with the star game with Sword glitch. SO satisfying.
