You need to hold your analogue stick right outside the deadzone but barely in a direction it's called ess position.

Its probably a variation of the glitch that Nintendo Power reported on back in the day. You can replace all of your items with bottles if you drop bugs and then after catching them again quickly pause your game and switch out the bottle with something else. The game overwrites the item in the bottles old c arrow with another bottle. Its good for the novelty but you cant get the game to recognize the extra bottles so no extra pots or anything.
I played this game for 3 years as a child on my N64. Never saw a single glitch in that ENTIRE play through...

You can break stones with Master sword.
Equip Megaton hammer
Use it once on a flat surface
Use Sheild with Megaton
Press b button while shielding
If the sword tip touches a stone it will register as a hit from Megaton.
I think that glitch works with jump attacks too. So that shield sword poke move will have the same damage as a jump attack
Its called "power crouch stab" and it means that crouch stab will have the properties and damage of your last used attack. Like if you swing a deku stick and then crouch stab a dekubaba with your sword, it will deal no damage
I love it. I'm a fan now. Ocarina totally stretched the limits of the 64, so of course there are plenty of ways to glitch it. I'm gonna try all these next playthrough:D
I still have my very 1st file on this game. I'm still missing 2 heart pieces 19 years later I'm going to look for them.

Aside from this being very fun to watch. The ability to understand how these glitches add to the values of the game thus changing where you are according to those values is amazing.

Hey man, just had to say... this is one of my favourite videos I've ever watched on TH-cam. I've watched many videos of speedruns with or without glitches, save states, etc. I personally have loved performing, finding and learning about glitches in games since I was a wee-child - and this series is so perfect as it compiles all of the known glitches into one amazingly detailed video. Great work Andy!
I also was amazed at how many glitches I had not seen before in this video, and the most amazing by far is the child Link going to Ganon's Castle. That is just crazy awesome!

I'll admit that part is not very well explained, given the fact it requires using the angled side-hop glitch. You also don't need to backflip to get the sideroll, as you can just side-hop beforehand.

When you said about supersliding being the fastest way to move: Although link does travel with 18 velocity during a super slide, it is possible to travel faster than this. If you have 18 velocity in rushing water it can further add to your velocity and make it around 20 or even higher. The more you know Kappa b

Gotta love how he starts with super simple glitches like kokiri escape or infinite sword glitch, then he starts explaining RBA and wrong warp and expects you to do them with the same facility

Hey man, I read the disclaimer at the beginning. Why do you think long videos are bad? I know a lot of people LOVE long in-depth videos, especially if it's on a topic they've subscribed to you for. I mean, no hate meant, for real, but I really only watch your glitch videos, and MORE content would never go under-appreciated in my books.
If you watch someone like TotalBiscuit, his videos are super long and in-depth, and he's one of the most highly-respected video gaming channels there is. It's because he finds what his audience wants, and gives them as much of it as possible. By all means dude, make your videos as long as you can!

Peoples attention spans these days are poor, and really I should make things the way I want to make them. Basically, over time I'm realising you can't please everyone. I must admit I am very impressed by your efforts. Some of these I myself did not know. However, I feel you could have added my favorite I once discovered, what I always called the 'Bottle Glitch'. If you use a bottle to catch something, and immediately pause, and replace the bottle with another item on the Sub-Screen, that item will permanately become a bottle. Useful for getting rid of useless items you never use.

The door of time skip is annoying! Link keeps on rolling to the right, when I command him to go left, or side hopping instead of side rolling. I need this glitch beacuse when I play the song of time with all 3 spiritual stones, the stones all glitch into one spot, and the game registers that as having only ONE spritual stone. Which isn't enough to open the door. I guess I can't get to the rest of the game. :'(

He did 'A' bottle glitch, not the one I remember. It's similar to the Wind Waker bottle glitch. swipe for an item with a bottle, pause the instant it's going to be caught, swap the bottle for a different item, and that item will permanently be changed into a bottle. It's a great thing to do after you get the biggoron sword, since the item you give him stays there, and is useless after that quest is done. Free 5th bottle. Also replace bombchus and deku nuts, since I rarely ever use them.

I've seen a lot of horrible and inaccurate explanations and stuff when people try to explain OoT tricks, but this really surprised me. It's well thought out and clearly explained and like 99% accurate. (mixed up saying A button and B button a few times and the deku tree offset is 4 not 5 i think).

Some silly technical things wrong with the wrong warp part:
You're explanation of wrong warp is more an explanation of the Ganondoor wrong warp, but that's nothing big.
I don't like your explanation of the wrong warp, but i'm hard to please. To oversimplify:
A blue warp sets two values:
1) A base entrance value that helps determine where you spawn next. It's an index into the entrance table, and can be thought of as containing the information on where to spawn Link (Kokiri Forest, outside Link's house would be one), but this isn't always true. With the deku tree blue warp, the base entrance is a cutscene specific spawn in Kokiri Forest.
2) The number of the next cutscene to play when you spawn (cutscene offset). This value says to play a cutscene when you load the next area, but the destination area must define what that cutscene is. In this case, it's set to cutscene 1.
Then, there's a third variable I call the scene setup number. This number determines what version of an area like Kokiri Forest to load. Typically this is the 4 combinations of day/night, child/adult, plus optional cutscenes, but in Kokiri Forest's case it's child day, child night, adult pre forest temple, adult post forest temple, cutscene 0, cutscene 1... etc. Most areas only use a single scene setup though, and thus this value is simply ignored.
The scene setup number is calculated based on a few variables, but since the cutscene number is 1, it's value becomes 4+1.
The base entrance value is added to the scene setup number, becoming the real entrance value used. Since the entrance table does not contain the same number of records for each possible base entrance value and scene setup number combination, wrong warps will occur.
What I felt was wrong with your explanation is that the Kokiri Forest and the cutscene afterwards is not directly loaded by the blue warp.
Lastly, you overlooked a very important first step with the Ganondoor wrong warp. As per above, the blue warp sets a variable that triggers a cutscene to play, and that cutscene is suppose to be defined by the blue warp's destination. Ganon's Tower does not define any cutscenes, so due to a programming bug the last cutscene you watch affects whether you crash/softlock or not.
In any% runs, the last cutscene used is the introductory cutscene that plays when you first enter the Deku Tree. From analyzing how the game allocates memory, using this as a last cutscene always results in no cutscene being played. However, if you savewarp after beating Gohma and return, the last cutscene changes to the Title Screen cutscene. This can result in a softlock since the title screen cutscene data can still remain in memory after the wrong warp, and will usually cause Link to void out. In this situation, you need to pause the game once in either Link's House (most versions) or the House of Twins (when the previous doesn't work) to write pause screen related data over where that cutscene was.
Awesome episode.... Also there is the infinate bottle glitch.

A+Start I've pulled off the c- buttons with Epona and swordless glitch before, but I did it by saving and quitting right after the master sword was knocked out of Link's hand. You start back in the tower.

Actually playing it is indeed fun. But once you've played it for so long you come to think about the structures of the game. How it is made and what else you can do with it. These glitches aren't supposed to replace the normal way of playing, they just add something new. That's the whole point of competitive speedrunning and racing. On the 3DS version, I somehow managed to get Epona to stand on top of some crates on Lon Lon Ranch. Unfortunately, this was before Miiverse was on 3DS, so only I saw this weird little gem.
