Hello Viewers! Today I'll show you how to fix the Sur Ron squeal and squeak sound coming from the Sur Ron belt. This seems to be the number one problem Sur Ron owners ask about so I figured I'd show you this neat trick to fix the Surron belt noise.
Sometimes the Sur Ron belt makes a weird sound and by simply adding some deodorant to it you can eliminate most of the annoying squeal sound coming from the Sur Ron belt. Other times the bike gets shipped with the Sur Ron belt too tight, so you might need to loosen the belt in order to get the squeal to stop.
In this video i'll show you how to stop Sur Ron squeal belt noise as well as how to tighten or loosen Sur Ron belt.

Why do Surons have these belts in the first place and aren't connected directly to the chain?

It acts as sort of a buffer. Due to the extremely high torque of electric motors, if it was connected directly you'd be breaking chains left and right. Newer bikes like the Talaria MX4/MX5 and Altis Sigma have gone with a gearbox design instead. The belt is really just a way to connect the motor to the gear reduction across the jackshaft. You cant connect the chain directly to the motor because the RPMs needed for the rear wheel are different

My brand new talaria is making a squealing sound like once every rotation and is intermittent nothing is rubbing and I reset my front brakes twice. Hoping this might be my fix

how long does this last?

for a fairly long time (obviously depends on how often you ride) but now I use belt dressing spray and it works better
