This is technically a very difficult song to song, and she does it flawlessly. Incredibly talented singer, undoubtedly one of the greatest in pop history.
When I die I want a continuous loop of Dusty singing to play in the casket.... I'll for sure RIP listening to her voice for eternity. (Ok, throw in some Tom Jones, Elvis, and Bee Gees, just to mix it up a bit.) Love Dusty, the greatest female voice and vocalist of all time.
The Adell of the 60's. She did not have to have any digital crap to make her voice special. She just belted each song out from her heart and soul. She was beautiful and expressed each song for what it was meant to be. Not sure why anyone disliked this video, but each to his own. I love each performance by Dusty. A real performer with no gimmics.
the one and only the GREAT DUSTY SPRINGFIELD. this is why she is still relevant today. her music is timeless. l hope young people will listen to her music
I love all the 1960s black & white glamour in the camera work & lighting. Also, back in the day, that was a REAL orchestra in the background. Dusty's vocals are beautiful as always!!
Loved her the first time I heard her sing.....and 57 years later, I STILL love her. She was absolutely brilliant. There will never be another Dusty....
I can not stop watching this. Dustys "beautiful expressiave" arm movements. Her Haunting, Sultry Voice. Her Hair. Dusty is The Best. The Absoloute Best. RIP.........God, I Hope Your'e Singing In Heaven.
This girl looks right through you with her beautiful eyes and then goes to your heart with her voice. You are then spellbound and cannot break away so you must play another Dusty Tune. It's Musical Heaven!!
Wasn't she gorgeous? I grew up with her - being born in 1950 - and loved her music. I listened a lot to her on the radio especially out in Belfast when I was in the Army- and will ALWAYS love that incredible voice. RIP, Dusty and thanks for the brilliant memories.
Whenever anyone says how great adele is i say yes she is fine but please listen to this woman first, then tell me who is great. Dusty was our greatest singer, there will never be another like her, never.
I think.so.too....with that dress she was reallly gorgeous. .a typical european beauty but i prefer her without beehave hairdo and when hair was red and long....she became too be very pretty when she was 20 years old
Love the little cough just before she starts singing and her shared sense of fun with the audience. You know it is really live And when she sings...wow! Brilliant .
Dusty didn't know how good she was. She was full of self doubt. She should not be remembered soley for her ballads. She could rock too (Don't forget about me). She was also hugely responsible for take off in popularity of Tamla Motown and American black sole music. She was a gift nowhere near enough appreciated at the time.
What an awesome performance and song! "Son Of A Preacher Man" was not my favorite, although may have been her biggest hit, and noone else could have pulled it off like Dusty. I like "Preacher Man," but there was just something about the slow songs she sung that blew me away! Still, in 2022, her talent amazes me. Anyone pit3 there still listening in 2022?
This is my all time favorite Dusty songs. Powerful and emotional! I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I was lucky enough to be raised by an English mum who had the 45 of this song! I'm 37 and I love songs from this time.
@@shmuli9 I think Dionne is one of the greatest singers ever; however, IMO, she couldn't match Dusty's strength, emotion, and range. Dusty is #1 of all time.
As I suggested in a comment above, made months ago, watch her video with her brother Dion (as Tom Springfield) and Tim Feild as The Springfields. Island of Dreams, and Silver Threads and Golden Needles. It’ll make you appreciate them and her even more.
@M C , My favorite among her "big ballady things". She built up to a climax, it was what Lesley Gore did too, in her "You Don't Own Me." Lesley explained it in an interview. It makes a song very dramatic. Yes, a pity Dusty didn't record more songs from and with her brother. "Morning Please Don't Come" is so lovely.
Hiya It's good to see that Dusty means so much to so many different people, how I miss her, during the early hours when the house is quiet it's just me and Dusty and the glow from the fire, I just sit here and let her voice wash all over me, God bless yer lass, rest in piece X X Ray♥
Dusty you are still a part of me , ive loved your looks voice and dress since your beginning xx thank you for ever Jane xx 08/03/2024 , now im 78 years old xx
When you think of all the so called singers that have hit the heights over the years when so many of them were pretty boys and girls who were dire when they had to sing live. Then we see this! A REALLY pretty girl and oh! she can also sing like no-one ever could! You then realise that the term star is much overused. Dusty was a gift from the gods and whilst she was widely appreciated, and especially by those in the industry,I don't think she was really as big as she deserved. She was the best!
@oakcfloyd .....there are so many times in that song that Dustys emotional rising crescendo sends major chivers down your spine.....and all done apparently so effortlessly. For me personally, quite possibly "more chills down the back moments" than any other song she ever does!!
The best gorgeous blond from England ever, Losing You to me is like a brand new song. I just remember her "I only want to be with you" and "Wishing and hoping", and like those two songs in 1964, I want to hear "Losing You" again and again! Play it it again for me You Tube!
This is technically a very difficult song to song, and she does it flawlessly. Incredibly talented singer, undoubtedly one of the greatest in pop history.
No one can sing like dusty just fabulous Best Femail singer ever
Without doubt the best British female singer of all time, there is nobody that even comes close to her,she could sing anything.
Absolutely.
Thank God that we have 60s music to listen too . And that Dusty Springfield was part of it .
This Dusty was one of the best singers of all time! (( Awesome )) 💐🙂👍🌹Thank you!
Totally agree
Absolutely the greatest female vocalists of all time! Nobody has a vocal tone like Dusty Springfield she is, and will be missed for ever xxx
She puts "Adele" in the shade. A one of a kind talent!
The best of the best. RIP.
I love Dusty but she's completely different to Adele, I love Adele too.
Murada Dusty Springfield was the best there ever was. That’s it. The rest just come and go.
oh, DEFINITELY.
Adele couldn't hold a candle to Dusty!!!
It's March of 2020, and I still cannot locate a better singer than Dusty Springfield. "Losing You" is an underrated masterpiece.
Amen!
She was fantastic ☘️💚
When I die I want a continuous loop of Dusty singing to play in the casket.... I'll for sure RIP listening to her voice for eternity. (Ok, throw in some Tom Jones, Elvis, and Bee Gees, just to mix it up a bit.) Love Dusty, the greatest female voice and vocalist of all time.

Dusty is pure perfection. Such a difficult song to perform and she knocks it out of the park. Love her! RIP sweet Mary..

She was beautiful and expressed each song for what it was meant to be. Not sure why anyone disliked this video, but each to his own. I love each performance by Dusty. There will never be another. Possibly her greatest ever live performance - who knows?
100 persent
The face, the lyrics, the voice,so 60s.
Just brilliant.
This song still reduces me to tears after all these years... Dusty was a awsome singer..
The standard against which all female singers should be measured.
the one and only the GREAT DUSTY SPRINGFIELD. this is why she is still relevant today. her music is timeless. l hope young people will listen to her music
I love all the 1960s black & white glamour in the camera work & lighting. Also, back in the day, that was a REAL orchestra in the background. Dusty's vocals are beautiful as always!!
Real orchestras beat the heck out of all the synthesizers, auto tune, and screeching manipulated, computerized music.
Loved her the first time I heard her sing.....and 57 years later, I STILL love her. She was absolutely brilliant. There will never be another Dusty....
There are no words to describe the sound of Dusty Springfield
I did mind losing you, 18 years ago today! But thank heavens your music will live on forever!
Dusty always put such "Passion" into her songs. What a "Legend" she was.
Dusty made it look so effortless. Such power & soul in her sublime voice. She will never be surpassed!!
Dusty is timeless, never had enough of her soulfull voice
No matter how many times I have listened to this song in my lifetime, I am in total awe of Dusty!
"Ole' Black Eyes"
Dusty is singing live here and hardly sounds any different from the recorded version. How many could do that today? Classic stuff!
She actually sounds better

Yes Pauline now its just c
What a voice, and l live in Northern Ontario.
She’s magic 2024 no one can compete
Her sound transcends time. Can't stop listening to what she gave us. It's like it keeps on nourishing. Thank you miss dusty
Her voice sends you straight to the clouds and beyond!! What a woman! Rip dusty.
Oh Dusty...you were the most stylist, emotional, with incredible voice quality and style...there'll never be another Dusty.
So love this trac she was a miracle ✨️
I can not stop watching this. Dustys "beautiful expressiave" arm movements.
Her Haunting, Sultry Voice. Her Hair.
Dusty is The Best. The Absoloute Best.
RIP.........God, I Hope Your'e Singing In Heaven.
Adored her as a teenager and still do at 72.
OMG..........I cannot stop watching this beautiful performer......
I don’t know how she wasn’t physically exhausted after these performances. This takes stamina, and she was doing more work than just this show.
Oh my Lord, how beautiful is this?
Written by brother Tom, "Losing You" was always one of my favorite Dusty hits. I was surprised that it did not get a higher ranking in the charts.
Along with Clive Westlake.
So was I. Also my favorite!
The greatest female vocalist of all time. I love you Dusty. Your memory and your songs will live on forever.
Ditto, 100%.
Absolutely.
So powerful, so wonderful. Dusty live has no boundaries. I love her.
The clip may be in black and white but I see brilliant colors emanate from Dusty. A powerful performance!
Dusty Springfield had everything when it came to raw talent,,such a wonderful singer who graced a wonderful musical decade,,
This girl looks right through you with her beautiful eyes and then goes to your heart with her voice. You are then spellbound and cannot break away so you must play another Dusty Tune. It's Musical Heaven!!

All her songs are great, but this one is my favourite. I remember listening to her when I was a child as she was my Mother's favourite singer ♥
She was the best British singer we ever had love all her songs
Well said.
One of the best songs ever. Dusty was the best from Britain. Dearly missed.
A truly wonderful, moving song by the greatest.
Incredibly wonderful singer. Had it all and losing you was always my favourite Dusty, song.
dusty was brilliant her songs will never be forgotten along with many more good singers that have passed away
Gone to soon, love you Dusty, and your songs will live forever!!
Whenever anyone says how great adele is i say yes she is fine but please listen to this woman first, then tell me who is great. Dusty was our greatest singer, there will never be another like her, never.
I dont think Dusty knew just how beautiful she was!
I agree, a stunning lady.
I think.so.too....with that dress she was reallly gorgeous.
.a typical european beauty but i prefer her without beehave hairdo and when hair was red and long....she became too be very pretty when she was 20 years old
She was very short sighted almost blind she had alot of trouble getting ready
awesome! no female performer today has the guts or confidence to do a song like that LIVE!!!!
Indeed. Dusty had pipes that put the Notre Dame Cathedral organ to shame. She was quite wonderful and singular. Still miss her.
The best of Dusty, an amazing singer. I love this song.
WOW SUCH A POWERFULL VOICE, SO STRONG AND SUNG WITH SUCH EMOTION
She never stops taking my breath away!!!
I agree
Beautiful voice. No one does it like Dusty.
Any professional singer will tell you this is a masterclass in technique and performance. A long time favourite since her early days.
This has been my fav Dusty song since 1964!
A beautiful song! Thank you💐🌹
Tom Springfield doesn't get enough credit. Incredible to think that one little family in north London produced not one but two phenomenal talents.
He probably wrote it about Dusty going solo?
Miss you and your music, Dusty....can't be replaced....
My favourite Dusty track ever!!!!Gives me the chills!!!xxxx
I'll second that 👍😊
I love the little smile of acknolegement at the start of the song to the audience applause. Then she quickly goes back to the emotion of the song.
Love the little cough just before she starts singing and her shared sense of fun with the audience. You know it is really live
And when she sings...wow! Brilliant .

Her live performances are unmatched.
We should treasure performances like this shown on 60's TV - because what do we have now ?
Zip
Dreck?
We have mainstream music garbage.
i agree with you , 12 years on theirs no one to take Dustys place ,,until eternity i say lol Jane x those were the days xx💗💗💗💙💙💙💛💛💛❤❤❤🤎🤎🤎
This is my all time favorite Dusty songs. Powerful and emotional! I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I was lucky enough to be raised by an English mum who had the 45 of this song! I'm 37 and I love songs from this time.

Wszystkie utwory które zapisałem polubionych filmach, są przepiękne DASTY SPRINGFIELD. BRAWO !!!!!!! i DZIEKUJE.
so brilliant beyond any comparison
I just realised... she's singing this LIVE... It's not a lip-synch...
The greatest.
@@adriankelly3234 That is debatable. but she is definitely one of the greatest. Dionne Warwick is up there, too...

@@23mario34 I like "Little by Little" ("Lidell by Lidell"). Sort of Motownish.
@@shmuli9 And Stay Awhile is very Phil Spector/Ronettes
No lip-syncing here Dusty's doing it live-wonderful!
Just wonderful. The greatest British female vocalist of the 20th Century
Can't even begin to describe how amazing that was.
I can't believe I never heard this song before, I love it. I've been playing it over and over.

Written by brother Tom. What a great song!!!! Dusty does a rocky version here!!! A great soul classic from the golden period of the mid 60's!!!!!
She is and always will be my fav singer. If you don't understand why, whatch this video.
Wow,thanks for posting.
Hiya
It's good to see that Dusty means so much to so many different people, how I miss her, during the early hours when the house is quiet it's just me and Dusty and the glow from the fire, I just sit here and let her voice wash all over me, God bless yer lass, rest in piece X X Ray♥

Dusty was the greatest of them all.
Nobody else comes close.

Priceless!!
Simply amazing. I am still in awe all these years later. Not fair to compare these millennium singers
This song reminds me of every coffee bar and music venue of the sixties, Dusty was the sound track of my life back then.
Her voice is pure velvet, oh my god 💖
Those 30 who dislike this piece of art....are they for real, or maybe are they extraterrestials? Dusty was THE VOICE! Pure melody and perfection!
Probably my fave Dusty song......doesn't get as much credit as it deserves

i think this is one of the most inspirational songs i have ever heard. so classic '60s. dusty one of th coolest cats ever.
The more I watch this lady, the more I fall in love with her. She was amazingly talented.
That hit a nerve. What a voice. That song kills me every time i hear it. It's haunting.
People are comparing Adele, to Dusty...Adele has a good voice, this is a great voice that spanned the decades. !
Dusty was an incredible singer. This song is sad but beautiful too.
