    I love all of your makes. I have a ranunculas on my list to make. I especially love the sleeves with the modifications that you did. It fits so well and the yarn is beautiful. All three of you had beautiful things to share. Got to get some of those shrugs made. I have a lot of bulky yarn. Will try to get some of the washable yarn for gift giving- that makes sense.❤🦊🥰

    Love you ladies! Maybe a bit controversial but, I do prefer the quality of the recorded podcasts to the Lives but everything you put out is great 😊 The ‘to knit’ list grows when I see what you have on your needles and your plans 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thank you 😊

    Recently watched episode #57. I am trying to find the "summer version" of the saga sweater. I can get the Saga pattern but cannot find the summer version. I knitted a sweater this year with the Sea Isle Cotton and love it. I would really like to make the summer version. Help!!!! Love your show, you always make me laugh and is a highlight!! So good to see you all back together. Thanks for any help you can give me. MONICA

    • @knittingpossect
      @knittingpossect  ปีที่แล้ว

      Monica--the "summer" version was just a few notes that came with the kit from Monarch Knitting. You can totally do it yourself. For my version (the third size), I knit the blue until about 1" before the arm/body split. My white stripes were all about 1" and I knit the pink and green blocks for about 5" each. All of my ribbing was ktbl1/p1. I didn't come close to finishing any of the skeins. Just have fun with it. Hope this helps (Laura)

    Another great podcast - thanks. I'm probably weird, but I really prefer the regular podcasts rather than the lives. I can never seem to watch the lives when they are actually live, so when watching them later it always feels like I'm missing something or late to the game. The regular podcasts I can watch on my own time. You've just added way too many projects to my queue. Let's see how long it is before I cast on a Friend to Friend....

    I'm a brand new viewer. I kept hearing about you from Kevin and Ray. Loved the episode!
    My only problem is that I can't see any of your links because I don't have a Ravelry account and I can't access project pages. I can open pattern pages, but not project pages. :( So not only could I not see your versions, but I couldn't see the originals, either.

    Another enjoyable episode! I’d love to hear your tips for counting gauge in lace! I ran into a problem with my Corran Cardigan because I was stumped as to counting stitches. Could have looked it up, I guess! 🙄
    When you save a TH-cam video, it ends up in your “Library.” You can even group videos you save, such as “tutorial,” or “watch later.”

    • @knittingpossect
      @knittingpossect  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @cathynewkirk6807 I helped Kim measure her blocked swatch. I just took the number of stitches she cast on and divided that by the width in inches for her swatch (to get stitch per inch gauge!). I'm personally a big fan of how Julie Hoover recommends swatching. She casts on the number of stitches that SHOULD be 8" wide (per the pattern) and then adds an extra stitch at each end. So if pattern calls for 20 stitches per 4", your swatch should be 40 stitches plus 2 extra that get worked in garter on the edges (knit on the front AND knit on the back). This method allows me to figure out if I am close--after several rows of knitting, I lay my swatch on a piece of letter size paper (8.5" wide) and I know early on if I will be close to gauge or whether I need to go up or down a needle size! Sorry for my rambling. I know a lot of people hate swatching, but you will definitely get better results in the long run if you embrace it. Hope this helps 🤣🤣 (Laura)

    Re: being able to knit and give away only so many hats, I’ve found the number infinite. I make hats with leftovers or yarn I’ve changed my mind about and donate them to a cancer hospital, where patients have a constant need for them, and to a local Discovery Shop whose proceeds go to cancer research, and to a local hospital-run charity store whose proceeds support a large organization for seniors. The cost of those materials can be deducted from your income taxes (ask your tax accountant). Everybody wins!
