Super fun as always! Jay looked amazing in his new sweater!!!! Loved all that you are working on - every project is so inspiring. Looking forward to catching over Rhinebeck. See you all soon!!!❤
WOW!!! What a beautiful sweater- I love everything about it! The fit is perfect too. I'm totally inspired to get this pattern and knit it for my 6'6" State Trooper son here in Oregon. He will love it. Thanks for the inspirational FO. Carrie from Florence Oregon (formerly Northern San Francisco Bay Area-recently moved) 😘❤☕🐕🐑🧵🪡🧶
Congratulations Ladies 🎉🎉 🎉 🎉🎉 your 5th Podaversary. I’m still enjoying your videos just like it was the very first, I’m a original viewer. Thank You for sharing all your knits, and your laughs. Beautiful knit Kim on Jay’s sweater, Great colour . Here’s to many more Episodes. ❤❤❤
Great to see the unexpected guest wearing his gorgeous Single Malt. I made one and it sits in a drawer, so kudos to you Kim! Wow on the Red! I have similar plans for Rhinebeck - not making purchases 🤪 Cakepalooza and. indie are fun, but since I’m not buying, I’m skipping it this year. Robin and I asked if the guys if they had seen you all recently and they said they hadn’t, so yay Kate for texting them. Great to see you all here. xo
Laura, the Nightingale is beautiful. I had to add it to my Ravalry favorites. Great to see Jay's sweater on him. It was nice to see the Les Garçon yarn and the pattern knit up. I hope he grows into it soon!
Thanks Jay and Kim! My husband agreed that he could wear that sweater, if in dark grey or dark navy. He has something to focus on at Rhinebeck. Kudos for the inspiration!
I can't believe it has been 5 years. I remember your first episode. Time has flown! Well thank you ladies for your dedication and sharing your knitting and lives with us.
Happy 5 year podversary! I have watched you since the beginning. The yarn used in the pattern for Georgie was Outlaw Bohemia sport and a blend of 45% polwarth wool, 45% alpaca, 10% possum. Outlaw yarn is a small New Zealand yarn company and they were unable to source this blend. It was a lovely, soft, and warm yarn to knit and wear. Georgie pattern was released in Laine Magazine issue 8 and is probably the only Truly Myrtle pattern not modelled by Libby herself. I love my Georgie and wear it a lot. Yours looks great Laura.
Happy anniversary, love you ladies, I am following you from beginning and you always bring me joy, love you humor and the knits you bring on. Feeling inspired ❤️
Good to ‘see’ you ladies! Love Jay’s sweater and the Gambier! Tempting! Hope to run into you at one of the yarny events at Rhinebeck. I agree on Perfect Couple being a disappointment. We were kind of sucked in by the mystery but, hello, that was so not Nantucket. On books, a couple to recommend: Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver (Audible version is excellent) and So Long Chester Wheeler by Catherine Ryan Hyde (also good on Audible, and Ray might really enjoy this one). Enjoy Iceland!!
So fun to see you all, and all your beautiful knits. And, the special guest as well!! I'm reading The Wedding People, and I can't decide if I like it or not.
I think I will just get a sock set to make my first pair of socks but let's see... looking forward to see you soon. I am also going to PUES and to Cakepalooza and Rhinebeck.
Ok girls. It took me a while to watch because I kept stopping to look patterns up and add to my list! Thank you! 😊 😅 I wish I was going to Rhinebeck this year… I would crank out a gambier and join the posse! Still need to make that one. LOVE it! Have the best time and I will be living through you all. ❤️
Congratulations on 5 years…🎊🧶💗🎉. I’ve been with you since the beginning and just love watching your adventures with yarn 😄. Will miss Rhinebeck this year (family wedding - was not consulted about the date😂) but hope to see you wonderful ladies at VKL in January…🤗
Congratulations 5 years . Love your husbands sweater, my husband is not knit worthy. I am headed to Nantucket in October can not wait to visit the yarn shop. The perfect couple was filmed in Chatham , read the book not very happy with the series. Enjoy your trip to Rhinebeck you guys will have so much fun
Kim thanks for inspiring me with the Poppy tee. I’d seen it on Instagram but when you pointed out the great fit - which is perfect on you here btw- I filed it away and eventually purchased it when I wanted a well fitting tee with wide stripes. It’s going into summer here so I knit it using Knitting for Olive cotton merino for one stripe and there silk fir the black. It’s a loose gauge and fits me so well, really happy. If you haven’t used the cotton merino I highly recommend it for warmer weather knits.
Great knitting inspo gals!!! Love how Jays sweater turned out Kim! I saw the nightingale at PUES last year when I was visiting before Rhinebeck weekend - purchased moondrake Fuha fuha for it but have not cast on yet… now I am wanting to! Yay for the Gambier sweater - I have mine done and plan to bring it for Rhinebeck ! Hope to be able to meet up with you all on the hill! 🧶💕🧶💕 Tara (Madison Monteze’s mom 😊)
It was Chatham! I just happened to be visiting family and they brought me to a yarn shop In Harwich. While there, a young woman came in asking about yarn. A bit later I hear….we had a celebrity in the shop. It was Dakota Fanning. She told the salesperson that it was too expensive to shoot on Nantucket. Great episode!
I love your podcast. I am going to knit the Gambier because of Ray and Kevin. But I am not going to Rhinebeck. I am also going to use Brown Sheep yarn. I live in SD, so that is almost hometown yarn.
Kim you have inspired me to knit Max’s sweater for my son! I also took your advice and read The Lion Women of Tehran. Excellent read. AND totally agreed with The Perfect Couple. It was filmed in Chatham! Why change the book?? Have fun in Iceland!!
Jay's sweater is perfect! What a great job! May I ask how much ease you included in deciding the size to make? I'm anxious to make one for my husband and his fits perfectly! Mary
Hi all, Nearly October-‘Road to Rhinebeck’ event at Pick Up Every Stitch, Mt. Kisco , NY. If you are flying in /driving up to attend NY Sheep and Wool, you are welcome to PUES for the 2 day event . The Camellia Fiber Co trunk show will be featured, October 17&18 - Thursday/Friday. These fabulous fibers will be available for your shopping/creative pleasure. This is in addition to the outstanding everyday variety of yarns from around the globe. We’d love to see you, and help you find those just right skeins for your next project or curated collection of treasured fibers!
Kim, thanks for reminding me about the "Let's Hear is for the Boys" MAL. I had completely forgotten to upload my pics (I made the Mille for Men cardigan for my son). Thanks for all the fun! @lamanchaknitter
I just finished a Single Malt for my son (off the needles yesterday!) I hope it fits him as well as Jay’s does. Thanks for modeling it for us! Looks amazing! Kim, did you find the collar appeared tight before blocking? Because mine does look small, but Jay’s seems to lie perfectly. Anyway, love the pattern.
Laura, on your sweater, alpaca is a much heavier fiber than most sheep wools, so it could be a sport still (maybe a thicker sport compared to the called for yarn). I find a lot of yarns land in a zone of yarn weight...and some work better as a dk rather than sport or some sport weights work more like a fingering.
Happy Anniversary !!!love all your knits. The stockinette tee is a great pattern !

Ohmy. Ihave just been using up my cloudborn fibers that I bought frok c4sftsy way back when. It is a nice yarn.

thank you for the visit.
Beautiful knits. Outlaw Yarn is a beautiful yarn often made with possum. It is a New Zealand yarn. Maybe not available in the USA. ❤

Jays sweater is gorgeous. You can tell he is so proud. He deserves another one 😊 was it all seed stitch?
Make sure you use a colour catcher when you wash the Tinder, Karolines Knits had a problem wit( red running in her sweater
But the real question is Kim - what will you knit on your way to Iceland…
Interesting podcast, ladies. But please stop talking at the same time over each other.
