I’ve just discovered your channel when trying to set up my new iPhone 15 pro max. I’ve swapped to the dark side after many a year on android. It’s nice to have some Brits doing tech reviews and setup advice. Just to say thanks, you’ve helped me a bit further along the learning curve.
It was a bit of a learning curve at first, mostly muscle memory built up from years of Samsung phones. I was swiping in all the wrong places for a while. There still a few things that annoy me, but on the whole I’m liking the change. I have an iPad Pro M4 now so I guess I’m all in with Apple.
The iPhone 15 series are probably the best line up apple ever released, hence why Tech spurt is releasing a vid on it, if you're still using an iPhone older than the 12 series then the 15 is a very good upgrade, and if you're from android looking to switch, even the base 15 is comparable in price to many mid range Android phones while out performing them by a lot.
I just got my 15 Pro Max after many years of Android and iPhones have come a long way. The Shortcuts app is very powerful. Thanks for the tips. This has been a great video.
I got the 15PM after 8 years (and 8 different Android phones, I ❤ Android) but I'm enjoying the iPhone far more than I thought I would but hey, I'm still on day 2 😊
@@Rinnara21 I have to say, they’ve come a long way since I tried one in 2013 and took it back in under two weeks because I couldn’t do simple things like replying to an email and attaching a Word document and an Excel document. Instead, back then, you had to go into the apps and share each document to email and so you lost the original thread. For someone in business, it was a poor experience. That has all changed now and the move to USB-C clinched it for me.

What i like about the iPhone 15 Pros: 1. The titanium body with curved edges and the smooth and matted finish, the four colours option (my fav being the Blue Titanium), 2. The freakin' USB-C port, 2.5. The customizable action button........yes, customizable. 3. The thinner bezels now improved Dynamic Island and, 4. The interesting tetraprism periscope 5x telephoto cam on the 15 Pro Max with increase in battery capacity in all models. 6. The A17 Pro chip. Plus the Portrait mode. An upgrade over the 14 Pros? somewhat ye....... Edut: Just watched the durability test of the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the back glass shattered but the 15 Pro survived.
@Adrian-pl3ui depends on what display size you prefer. For single handed use, either you choose the more expensive one, the iPhone 15 Pro which has a 6.1 inch display or base model, the iPhone 15 which has the same display size as the 15 Pro.

Just got my 15 pro max today Sadly when replying to comments on TH-cam I get a weird line popping up and when I type comments I get weird lines under my words when texting and they flicker wtf?!!?!? Even restarted the phone
If you already have a 13 pro or a 14 pro & you're not a multi-millionaire, just stick with your device. These little updates aren't gonna make a difference in your daily use and it's definitely not worth spending a $100 more
For the standby mode, it’s not because of what order you do it in. IPhone just senses it’s on a flat surface on the side. It barely works while holding in hand trying to complete it.

that triple or double tap apple logo might be battery draining if u launch the flashlight by accident...why doesn't tf ios17 have the stock keyboard to have the TOP row as numbers row option on??every god damn keyboard in the universe has that option..i use swiftkey but it still uses the stock keyboard at times..not all apps support swiftkey..its annoying as hell to have to press additional buttons to get to numbers keys
On the lock screen (the one with the tile arrangement) slowly move finger from bottom of screen up to middle (don't press too hard) and hold. All of the opened apps will appear like a deck of cards. Deal them off the top with your finger. Flick!
i used to not to like iphone, but this time they're doing it right. if iphone is now capable of running RE: village and RE: 4 remake (even if it's not full quality) but still that's a powerful one, none of android can run that. the optimization of OS also amazed me, as a user of android for 12yrs what i noticed is in iphone you don't need to tweak too much, in android you need to tweak much which is hassle.
PS, last night I set my 15 pro on a note pad on my desk, at a slight angle, without the cover, and it is so slick it slid right off on to the floor. Landed face down. No problem, not a mark.

What has me interested in the 15 Pro Max is the new telephoto lens and the larger battery combined with a supposedly more efficient processor (remains to be seen) but after seeing how hollow it seems thus allowing easily broken back glass, I might have to skip this as well and stick with my iPhone 13 Pro. I was offered a really good trade in price for my Pixel 6 Pro that was suffering from sudden hardware issues and Google had a sale on Pixel 7 phones but the curved display was a massive pain on the Pixel 6 Pro thus I went with the regular Pixel 7 and lost out on the telephoto lens.
@@AsteroidPlease I gave that a try and somehow it felt a little larger than the Pixel 6 Pro. Sure battery life is great but some of the post processing was rather annoying esp considering how much more it cost than the Pixel 6 Pro. I took telephoto pics with both my iPhone 13 Pro and Galaxy S23 Ultra and while both looked really good, some details went blurry on the Galaxy. One Android, one iPhone. Lastly I don't want two Androids.
@@Ali-dn9hf Also on JerryRigEverything, the back glass cracked easily on the Pro Max but the regular Pro was solid. I would hope Apple makes improvements down the line (most likely not) or I'll stick with what I have for another year. The pro line of Androids have curved displays which make case and screen protector shopping a bit of an issue.
I don’t know if this would count as creepy. But let’s say a family member is getting old and you know they will be gone before you are. Have them record all those personal phrases. That way when they are gone, you can still hear them tell you that they love you and all that but I guess what that’s what videos are for.
I thought Standby was buggy too.. then realized it only activates when the phone is charging and completely still on its side on a surface (like a MagSafe charging dock). I was holding it just like you were in this video and the phone recognized it was being held than rather standing on its side. wonder why they called it Standby lol

I have choppy scrolling on my 15 pro max the scrolling is slow and lags I actually can’t believe it especially when scrolling slowly

The battery also had me interested, but apparently, it's worse than the 14 Pro Max, which was already worse than the 13 Pro Max
