I've loved this song since I heard it the first time when I was ten, maybe twelve, years old. And here I am now at 33, singing it to my eighteen month old son, watching the comfort of my voice and the soothing beauty of their voices lull him off to sleep so deep he's snoring. 💚💚 I believe one would be hard pressed to find another trio that could top their rendition, it's so purely beautiful.
That’s so funny I’ve also loved this song since I was about 10 or 11 I’m now 32 and am currently singing it to my 18 month old son. Love and light to you and your baby!!😊
This is funny because it’s the exact same for me. Heard it around 10 or 11 maybe and sung it ever since. Now I’m 32 and it is one that I often sing working around the house, etc.
That Lass in the middle that introduced the song is absolutely stunningly beautiful , and I say that with total respect . Cheers from Australia kindest Regards Dan 👍
Not only do they nail the harmonies, but to get this just right they had to match each other's inflections. All that very intentional sliding into and out of notes doesn't work if only one of them does it. Just fantastic work with nothing but 3 people's voices.
A very nice version of a old folk tune. This version with the close harmony puts it in the class of a couple of other tunes, one that pops to mind is the Flower Duet from Lakmé, or Offenbach: Les Contes d'Hoffmann: Barcarolle. Sweet to the ear. Another one would be Mozart's Sull’aria.

Those women can and surely sing they've been blessed with voices of angels
Emmylou Harris Gillian Welch and Alison Krauss you ladies can sing!
Ohhh, this is what real talent looks and sounds like...got it thank you
THIS right here .IS true perfection..when all u hear are their beautiful voices..✌️✌️✌️
One of the best moments in the movie is when he wakes up and sees the frog in the clothes and starts screaming
I thought it was when he woke up and said “. . . Muh hair!”
"Those Sireens turned him into a frog"!!!!!!
3 individually great singers. Harmony and vocals blended here is great for such a short song!
I re-watched O Brother, Where Art Thou about 3 years ago. It was marvelous, hilarious and well worth seeing again.
I adore this song. It really speaks to my soul and spirit.
It’s an old slave song.
When I was little my dad used to play this song and sing it to me it makes me happy to go back and listen to it 14 years later💕
These ladies show a lot of self restraint. It really makes the song. So smooth. Love this performance!
Haunting and simply beautiful!
Sounds like an old southern gospel...luv it
If these three would do an album (cd) together, I'd buy two!
Hello Catherine
How are you doing today?
Still the best version I have ever heard. Most other versions I've heard are too polished, this one feels just right and naturally harmonious.
Perfect song for the sirens to sing...it totally hypnotized the Soggy Bottom Boys.
Hello ,how are you doing, how is the weather treating you?
Now that's talented need more of this in my life☺
Major chills from this! What wonderful talent
I watch the movie many years ago and have been hooked on this song every since
Love those three, and such a sweet soulfoul song.
I have heard gospel music all my life, I'm from wv. You are beautiful
That Lass in the middle that introduced the song is absolutely stunningly beautiful , and I say that with total respect . Cheers from Australia kindest Regards Dan 👍
Just amazing. I love the way this haunting song was woven into "Oh Brother, Where Art Though".
A typo is not a big deal, but...um..."thanks."
Oh Brother Where Art Thou is one of my favourite movies, in part because of the music.
Loved "Oh Brother where Art Thou"
Not only do they nail the harmonies, but to get this just right they had to match each other's inflections. All that very intentional sliding into and out of notes doesn't work if only one of them does it. Just fantastic work with nothing but 3 people's voices.
INSTANT LIKE! One of my favorite movies of all times and this scene ranks high on my list.
I need to watch Oh Brother, Where Art Thou one more time!
Yeah, you do.
Hello ,how are you doing, how is the weather treating you?
Truly angelic voices .
Wow, acapella harmonies so sweet and unadorned. There is no where to hide if you don't do it perfectly, and they do.
FM is coming back, and that means EmmyLou Harris songs will come back with it! I, for one, really miss FM radio.
Hello Catherine

Teun ter Velde Who are you?
Captivating! Magical songs like this are quite rare....straight from someone’s heart 💕🤗 thank you, whoever you are 🥰
This is the soundtrack I listened to on repeat when I was in labor with my son 19 1/2 years ago. This song will always remind me of that night.
All that heavenly voice coming from lips that barley part❤️ That’s real gift. Raw and blue grass.
These ladies are truly amazing and bless they got my vote!
