    Reasons to own a litre bike:
    1. The sound

They accelerate faster than almost anything else on the street. Only few hypercars can accelerate faster than a 1000cc bike and it’s because those cars are hybrid/electric. Wait until our Superbikes are hybrid or fully electric then it’s all over with due to power:weight ratio.

    • @hillbillyjustice8213
      @hillbillyjustice8213 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      This is 100% true. A 250-300, especially doing track days, will teach you things u just never learn on a 600-1k. There’s a guy who goes to little talladega all the time on a 250 and he passes 600’s and 1k’s constantly. They catch him on the straights at first but after a couple laps, he builds a lead big enough that the straight isn’t long enough for them to catch him. He just keeps pulling away from em. Fact is, u learn effective cornering faster and more thoroughly on a 250 because u don’t have all that power to
      make up for sub par breaking, entry speed, line selection, throttle management and exit drive/timing. U can also be more relaxed and learn more about feel and bar feedback. U have a better understanding of what the bike and the tires are telling you in a corner.
      The better u are with the 250 with those things, the better that knowledge transfers to bigger bikes. Ppl who learned by doing track days on a 250, are safer and faster on any bike they decide to hop on. I’d put that guy on a 600 against anyone on a 1k besides pro racers.

    You don't even need a 600 for the street if the rationale is that most people can't get peak performance out of the liter bike. Most people won't get it out of the 600 either. Hell, most riders couldn't push a Ninja 250 to 100% on the street.

    • @ThermicLight
      @ThermicLight ปีที่แล้ว +6

      There is a more usual difference between those who ride a 600cc and 1000cc. In that the former are less inclined to make lame justifications as if the power is necessary. Rather they already know it's overkill.
      People on 1000cc however more typically have a certain ego about why it's required. As if the extra torque and power is necessary.
      All in all I don't judge what someone rides but when they start capping is when it starts getting ridiculous. Be so much easier if people were just honest about why they buy it and it doesn't have to be for practical reasons.

      Buying a 1k as your first sportbike is just a guarantee that you’ll always be the least skilled and slowest learner. You’ll be the slowest in the mountains/canyons and only fast on interstate straightaways.
      U could be on your 4th year on your 1k and
      a rider who did 1yr and 5 track days on a 250 would hop on a 600 and absolutely SMOKE u on the track or in the canyons/mountains/curves. There are 250 riders that smoke 1k riders at track days and in the curves all the time. Anybody can pin the throttle on a straightaway but only the few can put boogers on the tires and most of the booger boys started on something OTHER than a 1k🤷🏼‍♂️

I don't ride highway so I prefer a middle weight, naked inline 4. A highway guy will need a 1200 to 1500 cc v-twin, or Goldwing. Don't cancel a class of motorcycles because you don't see it's use. The fact 1000cc usually go up against 1000hp cars in drag races explains it... No point in driving a 1000hp car daily

    I went from a ZX12 to a CBR1000 to a ZX7 to a Ninja 300 and the 300 has been the one I've enjoyed the most.
