Fawley Garden Railway Part 2

The Hampton Court Model Railway Society was able to visit William McAlpines standard gauge railway and museum in his back garden.
The museum is packed with items from all of the Big Four railway companies and some of the smaller ones that existed before the grouping. Some of the larger items such as the arches from Waterloo station after the International Terminus development and the GWR parcels shed at Cardiff can be seen in the garden when you take the short ride in eitther the guards van or the open wagon. On the day we visited this was pulled behind a small 0-6-0 saddle tank. At its steepest the line is 1 in 13 and the loco works really hard to climb it.
