- Leavesden is an O gauge modern image layout set in the late 1980s early 1990s and based on the southern region and is third railed.
Leavesden is a fictious location on the outskirts of Biggin Hill and is the station serving Biggin Hill International airport. There are four platforms which are served by various electric units including 2 and 4 EPBs, 2 HAPs, 4CIGs, 4VEPs and Networkers. There is also an Inter City cross country service, a DEMU service using a Thumper and various parcel services. Next to the station is an engineer's yard, a small loco stable ling point and a siding used by the tanks for the aviation fuel for the airport.
Superb layout with excellent attention to detail. Just spoilt a little by train movements being made with excessive speed.
I thought the same, the 37/7 exciting the oil depot was way to fast even after he'd changed ends in the station.
Yeah, true. I’m not sure if it’s the operator or the system but it’s a shame with such detailed stock when the locos take off like an F16 fighter going down the runway
Cracking layout but what was the hurry
At first I thought this might have been based on "Leavesden" which is just outside Watford Hertfordshire
