Oh my goodness, this helped so much! I've been going to PT for 4 weeks and haven't gotten a lot of pain relief so this is heaven sent! Thank you so much! My shoulder feels better already!
Good question! It means most of us spend countless hours hunched forward over laptops, tablets, phones, desks, and even while driving. The resulting postural imbalances involve rounded shoulders, a forward head, and excessive thoracic spinal curves. To put it succinctly, we're all slumping!
Thanks finding after your suggested massage relief but raising hane upward or backward really painful. I have taken physiotherapy 6 days with electro and ultrasound massage but no use. IF you have any physical exercise to improve my mobility
Your physiotherapist is in a much better position to prescribe individualized exercises for you than I am. Six days is not long. Impingement conditions can take a long time to resolve. I suggest sticking with your physiotherapy.
Thanks that helped. I wondered why I was having so much pain in my neck and shoulders. I finally figured out its the stress of going through a messy divorce.
This *really* helped. I've only done one shoulder, and comparing the difference between the massaged vs unmassaged shoulder is staggering. I'm not sure how I was functioning in my day to day with my shoulder being tense and painful. On to the second side!
Thank you that I found you. I tried to follow this video, and your other one on tennis elbow. I like the idea of self care. My condition is said to be PIN (Posterior Interosseous Nerve Syndrome). And My pain comes from 5pm up. Affecting my sleep. Do you have a specific self massage I can do for that, especially in my neck pain, too the trapeziuz, and elbow-forearm pain. I really need help.

Have been tryna fix my shoulder for months and have done BPC injections, GH, oral steroids, physical therapy rest etc. all felt like a waste of time but did find a crazy thick knot right in that super supinates. Lets hope for the best
I've actually begun a series of hands-free self-massages, using tools like balls or foam rollers. I have a few out now: th-cam.com/play/PLQsHGPF3r4b7Gbwby2w_YRQPqxk1fT5Hn.html
@@rachelrichardsmassage9660 wonderful!!! Thank you so much Rachel! Do you think I need to be concerned about “rib flare”?or I this just an ascetic thing?
I am in a rural area with limited access to physio. This video is absolutely what I needed right now to incorporate into my at home P.T. routine. I am seeing a P.T. every two weeks for an proximal humerus fracture and now have frozen shoulder. I am determined to avoid complete shoulder replacement and am so happy found this video to compliment my therapy program. Thank you so much for this upload !!!!
Experiencing recurrent frozen shoulder in opposite shoulder. Used PT both times, but found this self massage more effective and relaxing. Thank you for the physical and mental relief.
Dear Rachel, I have been using one of your videos as my therapy and I needed to have at least one more for my pain right arm. This one definitely will be my therapy session. Bismillah❤️ Thank you.
Hi again Rachel, there were a few times I still woke up during night sleep last night. I counted around 5 times but those are less than nights before (been 2 years already). I did this session once this morning and everything went great, until as the day goes by now it is afternoon, i felt sore again in my arm and I decided to do this session again and now better. I hope I will have so much better sleep tonight.
@@rachelrichardsmassage9660 almost 3 months since I discover your channel and decided to review this video, follow along the sequence and techniques, my injured right shoulder feel relief. The about 80% of the pains and the mobility improves. Thank you very much for this awesome video.
I really enjoy your videos! They have been super helpful :) I am suffering from a tight brachii in my forearm and cant wait for you to address that part of the body because your methods have helped me so much in the past and current time.

God bless you for creating and sharing.
Wonderful, Vin, so glad it helps!
Amazing. I got more pain relief from one session than I did with a cortisone injection. Thank you
So happy to hear that!

Great video.
Could you help me reduce the inflammation cause by shoulder impingement
The inflammation should decrease as the impingement is corrected.
omg Rachel, this immediately relieved my pain, thank you so much. You are my go to person whenever my aged body hurts 😊

Do you think massage will help shoulder bursitis
Yes, but you may want to see a professional massage therapist for bursitis - especially if it's acute.
I love you 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you, I am not sure exactly what kind of shoulder problem I was experiencing but impingement sounded closest and this really helped
So glad it helped!

This made me yawn SO MUCH that it means 100% energetic relief, in a very, very congested area... Thank you !
So glad this is helpful for you!
Thanks for self massage therapy but While doing self massage getting good mobility but external roti on not good.
Some movements take longer to regain than others, and external rotation is often one of the last.
Thanks so much. I had immediate relief but my hand and fingers got sore. Could you substitute a theracane for some on the movements.
You won't be able to get as specific as we do in the video, but a theracane can certainly provide some relief. Especially if it saves your hands!
Thank you... been going g to PT and lately this is all he does for me. Rather do it myself and save the $... also helps me on a more regular basis😊
So glad it's helpful for you!
This is good massage that help abduction extension and flexation without pain. But my hand is not going upward.
It's okay - you just do what you can at this stage of your recovery.
thank you very much 💗
My pleasure!
Her arms are impressive. Motivational.
My other arm is too tired to do this
Good excuse to go get a professional massage!
is it possible that shoulder impingement can go away one day? I have this problem for almost a year now.
Yes, it's very possible. The prognosis depends on what is causing the impingement, the severity of the condition, and many more factors.
Dear Rachel, you helped me to understand and treat my shoulder pain. I am grateful!
I'm so happy to hear that! I'm grateful you shared that ❤️
