SPOTTING AN NPD

  • One of the EFFECTIVE ways of SPOTTING someone with NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) is by observing PHOTOS of them. People can only HIDE their TRUE personalities behind a MASK or VEIL for so long,
Many of the CHARACTERISTICS they try to HIDE can't be concealed forever and are often TRANSPARENT in pictures. We can see more DETAIL in photos and have time to look at the REALITY and FOCUS on what we are seeing.
When we're CONSUMED by the MOMENT and caught up in LOVE-BOMBING it's DIFFICULT to see through the MASK. Watch for the dark and soulless eyes... the INTENSE THINKING that'll be used to MANIPULATE you in the FUTURE... and the EVIL smile.
A PICTURE IS WORTH 1000 WORDS...
    Love is the Answer,
    Rhonda

I must confess I just broke up with a narcicistic person and I saw how he’s eyes changed from one moment to another from a great, loving guy to an evil person. That was scary.

It can be terrifying. I saw the guy I was dating roll his eyes back into his head, so the only whites of his eyes were showing, and then acted like nothing happened. Now, I pay attention to pictures. Once we are aware... we see the truth.

Thank you. Interesting observation. I will have to look back at my evil(to put it mildly), sibling's family pictures. Nothing surprises me.

Observing pictures works. I can tell who is genuine and who is not. It would be interesting to hear about what you find...

Very interesting, thank you for sharing! I very much relate to this. My covert narcissist ex-husband has what I call "shark eyes". They go really black and dark when he's just being himself, when he thinks no one is looking, i.e. when his mask is off. I noticed it early in our marriage but like you Rhonda, I ignored it because we were married and I was pregnant with our son, so I didn't want to see or know that my husband had that evil side.

We take pictures all the time... but rarely go back to them except to "swipe" through them. When I realized what I saw in the pics I started going through more of them. It's not fool-proof but it's definitely revealing. I eventually noticed how sometimes he would be in a trance and act like he wasn't aware that I was 2 feel away from him. And finally... I felt "nothing" from him. No soul... nothingness. If you can sense people's emotions and there is nothing... it's terrifying... almost worse than sensing rage. I hope you are doing well now. Sending love. Rhonda

I appreciate your input. We all have "bad days". If you knew the whole story you may come to a different conclusion than just a bad day... or two. A bad day picture is very different than what I was seeing and experienced.
