    1. Play with racket a lot - basic forehand backhand manoevre
    2. generating power - generate power from weird angles
3/4. Move your opponent front and back, left and right - requires timing and accuracy
5/6. Practice lunging and 6 corner footwork - quickly move around the court so you can hit shots with perfect timing
    7. Forehand, backhand low and high serves - varying serves allows deception
    8. Jump when dropping or smashing - higher contact point = more speed and power
9.Spin net - improving the net shots
    10. baseline forehand and backhand - when you are forced quickly to the back of the court.

I get confused while defending smashes to my dominant side since I prefer keeping a backhand grip while defending. I get caught in an awkward position. Pls help.

I might be late but you might stop giving the opponent high shuttles, which would secure you from more smashes. Maybe a shot near the net but on your opponent's side would help, and then you'd be able to flick when they send the shuttle back to you

If the pain is like a repetitive strain injury (a bit like tennis elbow pain but in your shoulder) try taking Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM. You can get them in tablet form quite cheaply. The Glucosamine is the amino acid your body uses to repair tendons, the Chondroitin is what your body uses along side the Glucosamine, in other words the building blocks for the repair. The MSM is to help with the repair of cartilage. So all in all these tablets are great for repetitive strain injury and should help a lot. A friend of mine had repetitive strain injury in his shoulder from badminton for 3 years. I gave him some Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM and a few weeks later he was fine again. I had it in my wrist for 2 years and it worked for me in a similar time scale. So they do work. You will need to rest also, repetitive strain injury is an injury at the end of the day. Good luck. Hope this helps.
