I have seen many videos of the badminton by different coaches. I have never seen such clear demonstration of the techniques and whole heartedly I would accept you as my guru. Awesome keep up the good work
I just figured this out about the index finger few days ago. My shots lack of power due to holding tightly the handle with the index finger. I fixed this, and my smashes and other overhead shots become better. But it took me 2 years to realize this problem :(. Your videos are very helpful, the best channel that I've found on the Internet. Keep the good work. Thanks for the great video.
Man i have been playing for 5-6 years and i have competed for around 4 years and i know i should have a loose grip and what grip to have but i didnt know how to have that type of loose grip, this video was really helpful and inspirational.
I just watch this video last night n try this kind of grip when I play this morning. I am amazed, I feel that my smash gets more powerfull, my reaction time gets faster, n my defense becomes more solid. Such small details, but change my game a lot. Thanks Coach. Greetings from Indonesia🇮🇩
When we write, we hold the pen with our thumb and forefinger. The same goes for spoons and chopsticks. This means that the thumb and index finger are the most sensitive and quick fingers. On the other hand, if you need to lift heavy objects, use your middle and ring fingers. keep in mind Each of your fingers has a different role. controller, power generator. Keep practicing and make it completely yours.
라켓을 엄지+검지로 컨트롤 한다는 것만이 정답은 아닙니다. 이와 반대인 그립을 사용하는 사람도 분명 있습니다. 나중에 이를 비교할 수 있는 영상도 만들어보겠습니다. It's not only right answer to just control the racquet with thumb and index finger. Some people control the grip with the middle and ring fingers. I'll make a video to compare them later.
my coach explain how to grip a racket like in this video, that was the first lesson because i was hold it wrong before, I held the racket like I was going to hit the mattress 😂 cheers from Indonesia
This video actually helped me alot because my coach never told me the real concepts behind different types of grips and why we hold them that way but after watching your video it is crystal clear. I have to tell you something and that is I've two thumbs in my right hand which means i have 6 fingers in total in my right hand so can you please make a video on it too.
Um...well. I don't know because I haven't seen it myself. I need to know how your fingers work and what power they can produce... I don't know right now. However, I think it would be better for you to know the principle of exercise first than the technical one. I will make a video about this.
@@full-swing Yes yes. And take your time sir there is no hurry. Think about it and it would be really helpful for me because i sometimes find myself uncomfortable with the grip because of that double thumb. I hope you understand and thanks again Sir 🙏🏻
hey coach, i heard from my coach that most of the power from your shots comes from your fingers. is that true? if so, could u make a tutorial related to it? thanks!!!
In that video, you should highlight the importance of the "gap" in the palm of the hand. In western world, they use hand shake as an analogy of sliding the racket into the hand to hold the racket but ignore the gap in the palm. Often there is no gap in the palm of the hand when you observe a western player's hand or the grip in the hand.
I alway told my friends how to use finger like most of this video shown. But nobody like to learn from me, because I am a fat uncle and not playing very well in badminton. Many people misunderstanding that using arm and hold tight to smash. The right way has shown on this video of using finger when you smash.
By the way, one of the best thing I learn from you is how to grip a back hand grip with the correct thumb placement, it’s totally different to other coaches. 👍

Best video I’ve seen of all in techniques. I am a high-school student trying to learn and practice, so I am glad I came across this channel! ❤

When using Forehand grip do my index finger needs to be straight or bend round? For smashing
I think it would be a good idea to bend your index finger a little and hold the grip.
Please add detailed video backhand smash n other shots n variations
