Arcade PA System Setup: From Chaos to Concert

- I set up a PA system in a challenging vintage arcade with concrete floors and glass walls - talk about a sound engineering nightmare! Our pa setup involved careful placement and tuning to work with this pro audio-hostile environment, while the sound system had to be configured to handle both the live band setup and the ambient arcade noise. Despite the event setup challenges in this unconventional space, we managed to create a workable solution. Make sure to like and subscribe and thanks for watching the gig log!

This gig was a lot of fun, but man, it started out a little rough! Thanks for watching ya'll!
"Nothing good happens after midnight," and then a truck smacks a curve and almost rams your gear. Ha ha. That was great edit.
lol thanks! Gotta keep an eye out for stuff like that!
These videos are ther perfect mix of technical stuff for a nerd and like a proper well storied vlog that's captivating. Love to see these keep coming out no misses so far
Thanks for the kind words man! And thanks for watching!
Hi! It's amazing how well you understand this profession. I am a 13-year-old boy, I live in Hungary. That's why I'm sorry if the text is strange, I only use google translate. So, returning to the topic: I also want to learn this, this "profession", and I hope my dream will come true. It's great to see you do all of this in such a way that you understand it. You are super good, produce the content for a long time, I enjoy them! I wish you another nice day. Hi!
Good luck!
That truck running over the curb was icing on the cake in this one...
Always listen to the missus when she says its gonna rain confetti... love your work keep it up y'all.
wise words to live by!
Wow your videos really make me miss running my small-time sound company with my dad. Kinda wish I could go back to the start and do it all over again. Nice setup you have there. I love the efficiency and cohesion of it all.
That clicky noise is so satisfying! Great vid as usual! Cheers from Chicago!
I think so too! Thanks for watching!
for sure. I'd vote less background music and more gear-clanky ASMR and raw banter during setup/teardown. feels more like we're there!
Thanks for including problems, solutions and near-misses. Those are the best parts!
glad you enjoyed the video man! thanks for watching!
Hey Guys, I love this, and can’t get enough of it! Thankful that you record and document everything! I know it’s an extra step, but trust me, it doesn’t go in vain! Greatness all around!
Thanks dude! We’re just having fun documenting everything, and it’s awesome to know you’re enjoying it!
@ Absolutely!
That ending had me rolling, lol, nicely done! 🤣
Love the channel! Wish you uploaded more frequently
Stay safe also!😊😊😊
Another great video definitely the most different event you have done.
Thanks man! It was definitely a unique venue!
Keep grinding. Great walkthrough and video
Thanks dude! Glad you liked the video!
Love your videos! I always stop what I’m doing to watch them as soon as they pop up. Would love to hear how you handle power issues at venues that don’t supply adequate power for your equipment?
Thanks a ton! I’m glad you love the vids! For power issues, I usually just roll with the punches, my gear doesn't draw too much... But if there's a safety issue, an electrician gets called.
Watching from Ireland!! Great video! Keep it up! 👍🏻🇮🇪🎸
Been there and loved it! Thanks for watching man!
love it
Thanks for watching Kevin!
Wow...nice setup. How many zlx speaker for this setup?
A list of the music you use in the video 🥺🥺🥺🥺 it's all so amazing
I honestly thought that was Edward Scissorhands up on that ladder setting up the power.
lol! It was a Halloween party and that was his costume exactly!
Curious to know your price for this type of service.
Whew! That's a kot! Nice going! By the way, what do you call the EWI console?
Nice! But time for audio over Cat, it's so much faster
with the support of your beloved wife, you can go through with it dude.. 💪
you can use power sequencer for turning on everything with just one button
That sounds like a fun upgrade. Thanks for watching Steve!
Contenido para nerds, me encanta.
I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Hey - just curious how much do you charge to do an event like this? Thanks!
I’m not sure how it sounds, but I think you should consider hiring someone to assist you on stage-it would make things much easier.
hmm you might be on to something!
@@SilverCreekAudio depending where your located, I can fill out an application.
how much did it cost for your whole set up? (asking as a Beginner lol)
Do you really need two subs for this venue? Genuine question.
if you don't mind, could I get a ball park price on this service?
what a dope prom location and theme
It was sweet and so much clean power to pull from!
can u please give us more infos about your WiFi access point? thanks
Semangat ya
Curious how you get your gigs?
It varies. Word of mouth, google, and TH-cam. Thanks for watching Joe!
why did you not use the UXLD mics?
Their rider specified SM58s
Get some working shoes that protect your toes during load in/out
the way I laughed at this is not ok. Especially the end. Good thing you got out of dodge quick
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching dude!
Song Name at 2:34..?

I guess I’m not understanding why you would have a snake to a stage box. Why. Waste of time and added fail point. If they’re that close together, why not centrally locate your stage box? That’s what 10-15-20 foot cables are for. Instead, you have 100’ of snake, or multiple snakes “hiding” somewhere. And it has to be wrapped back up and you have to carry it. Not like you have a splitter. Makes my back hurt. Plus, you seem to have 25’ mic cables barely unraveled having to ‘hide” those as well. Isn’t that what stage boxes try to eliminate?
Seriously, if that is how you do it, then more power to you. You do you. I’m all about the out, though.
Unlike the DL8, SD8 and SD16, the DL32s are not designed to be utilized on stage, but designed to be put in a rack backstage / sidestage. For such a small stage, it's possible that some longer cables could've been a better solution, but practically it's always best to have the shortest distance from source to socket. My guess would be that this is part of a fixed setup that he rolls out, and it's easier to just keep that pattern and not change the gear, even if you don't necessarily need all the benefits from it.
Also, digital stageboxes are primarily made to avoid long and thick analog multicable runs from FOH to stage. In this case, there is no FOH to send to, so the benefits of a stagebox here is I/O expansion and slightly better preamps on the DL32 vs the X32 Rack
@@petterrong1590 you can use a DL32 on stage and have on tour many times. not for all inputs, but it's fine onstage if it makes sense..
It's live sound my guy. All that matters is you do what works for you and the client. Who cares what method he uses to get there. My only gripe is the cheap speakers compared to everything else but that's just me. I personally use a 12ch drum drop and 8ch 25' sub snake to my DL32.
How much you charge for the gig like this, ? Oh...secret.....Ha Ha
