Besides the 2 amazing musicians we had playing, we had a ton of compliments on the sound. Connor and Mary Grace got so much love from our patrons and artists. We just had our 2nd show on saturday and were happy to have Silver Creek Audio back! Not having to worry about that part of it allows us to take better care of our guests. We ❤ you guys!
@SilverCreekAudio If everything goes as planned, I'll be also starting to record videos i.e., inspired by you. I do events on my area on a small level. Also, now am at a learning stage of the digital mixing.
It's been fun and interesting watching your videos. I've been a live engineer for more years than i care to admit. Most likely before you were born. I really like your work ethic and how organized you are and how you keep your gear in such good condition. This business got out of control for me long ago and suddenly i was and still am touring. I must admit I sometimes miss the smaller gigs. It's been quite a trip from small intimate venues near home to mixing at giant Euro festivals. But much respect to you. You do it very. Good luck to you.
Thanks for watching the videos and the kind words. I really appreciate it! I can't imagine what it must be like to be touring, I have never done that. Just a local guy. It is really great to be able to gig close to home but a Euro festival would be awesome!
Touring does get old after a while but it's a life style. As I've gotten older I prefer the fly date touring to living on a bus with 11 other guys. It's not for everyone. I'm working for a fairly high profile artist now and it keeps me busy. My biggest challenge was going digital after decades of huge analog consoles and racks and racks of cool analog gear. But times change. I use different consoles every show. Luckily I can ask for what I want to use. I try to stay in the Avid world, S6L, Profile,SC48. But I have a case of USB sticks for all different consoles. Next week it's a Midas M32 and the next day an Avid S6L. I'll find your info and send you my email and we can stay in touch. But like I said you're doing it right. There are too many chaotic production companies. I wish you the best out there.
Your videos are so inspiring... I'm a soundguy too and I know how difficult and challenging are some gigs, but at the end of the day it's all about loving your job and do it the best you can, congrats man 🎉
Dude this is awesome! I'm from the same part of Texas and I make a living doing sound at a production company here in Montana. You're doing plenty of damage with that lean, mean little ULX & X32 combo outta that van with the sweet ramp! Keep doing your thing, and when you're ready to upgrade your PA - drop me a line. I've considered moving back home to start my own operation and you are showing me that its possible. Keep it up!
Greatly enjoying this series. I used to work on gigs like this in Austin then Dallas, so totally get the grind! Truly miss doing these types of shows, but now i feel like i get to live vicariously through your work 😆 keep on keeping on man!
it's so relaxing to watch other people work.. 😂 Seriously, great video with useful tips sprinkled throughout.. One small thought that came to my mind: Could you have some black cloth or similar to hide cabling from the audience?
I would make one suggestion for your cabling. Relocate your stagegear to the sides and behind the muscians as much as possible. Having the Stage Box infront is not the best way estaticly.
just subscribed, last time i saw your video that titled "how i set my setup alone". And then this content pop up in my youtube home. i love to see your work.
Hey Connor! Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for inspiring me to get a van for my production company. It's been great compared to the trailer! My recent POV video was inspired by your style of videos as well. Keep it up! Best of luck from WI ✌️
Hey, just wanted to say you're a big inspiration. Just bought an old 2003 E350 van with the seats ripped out and plywood covering the floor. Do you have any gear that you'd recommend on a budget? Or maybe some inexpensive hacks that are worth doing? Love to see your work and what you do. I'd rather do what you do than sit in an office for 40 hours a week
nice vid! love the set up and the way you explain things. Im trying to figure out a Behringer X32, just mind blowing. The duo sounds great, Justin - Would love for you to print us Banners. Im heavy into lighting, staging, and learning this stuff as I go Mike Sanibel Light & Sound Fort Myers, FL
I'd prefer to have all the cabling infrastructure off to the sides rather than directly in front of the performers. The power cubes can go upstage of the monitors so they get hidden. The excess cable on the sides can be coiled neatly under the loudspeaker stands. I've mixed Max and Heather at a festival, they're great folks to work with!
The power at this gig was very stable. They have big industrial pieces of machinery so there plenty of quality power to grab, but it varies from venue to venue. I use a Furman AR15 voltage regulator and I've never had any serious issues but I'm not an expert on power. Thanks for watching dude!
I used Southwire 12ga SOOW cable but you could use their SJOOW cable and it would fit the powercon connectors a bit easier. I bought the quad boxes from OA Windsor.
hi could I check what iPad are u using? If I use my iPad Pro 11" 4th Gen the Mixing station text is so zoom out like the resolution is weird. I can't seem to adjust that as well. Also using the MR18 atm but hmm one think I noticed is that I'm not able to expand it to a stagebox if I need to...
6:35 Why do you do that with a parametric and no grafic EQ? Im interested by The workflow of other technichions. I Really Like your Videos, a cool, fresh touch to TH-cam.
I’m a DJ I don’t do live sound like this quick question what app or software are you using on the iPad to eq the mics or is that the eq for everything?
I really like your stuff and the way u do things. But I didn't like the mess of cables in the front of the stage by the monitors maybe you could get some cloth or route the cables/the slack more "behind" the monitors so it looks cleaner when looking at the stage from a visitor perspective.
qué pasó? veo estos videos y me llena de alegría, incluso quisiera hacerlo de esta forma.... pero algo pasó? no siento esa alegría cuando pongo el sonido y todo eso.... veo que eres feliz y eso contagia...
in ear monitors changes how you hear your own voice. Since it's a partial acoustic set, the in ears are overkill. There's more benefit in hearing everything blend through the monitor

Thanks everyone for watching the channel! Ya'll are the reason we got this gig!
Sir are you solo to setup your PA?
Your videos are honestly super relaxing to watch on a chill Monday afternoon so thank you for bringing us this content, also congrats on 10k!
Thanks for the support Diego! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Honestly some of the most relaxing and actually refreshing content out there right now! Love the vids man!
i really enjoy your videos dude...looking forward to the next one
Congrats to 10k subs! 🎉
Thanks Chris!
Love watching you the way you do your work, now I have a cause to dive deep more on this industry. ❤ from India 🇮🇳
That's so awesome to hear man! Thanks for watching!

Great Video, Connor! Love these. Your clients are lucky to have you as their engineer. You do awesome work!
Thanks a ton! Means a lot! Thanks for watching!

I came across your channel from the 'gear I wish I bought sooner' video. Now I've been watching a few videos of yours each day!
That's awesome man! Glad you're enjoying them!

Thanks, dude! Totally feel you on the struggles. But hey, at least we get to do what we love, right? Thanks for watching!
Connor this is fantastic

Thanks for sharing. I'm just starting out in this business and your videos really help a lot.
You bet dude! Good luck out there!
What’s up neighbor! Small-time business here in Dallas saying hi and glad to see your videos. All the success and happiness in the world to you!
Awesome Video! I'm actually getting inspired on building a rack like your's for my gigs as well!
That's awesome man! It will help make your gigs go so much smoother. Thanks for watching!
skinny armadillo coolest name ever lol
Always appreciate your videos, brother. Thanks for sharing!
Maaan, what a great video, love the organization!
Wish I could learn how to do what you do!
Keep doing a great job!
Thanks, dude! Glad you liked it!

What a peaceful yet super interesting and techy video! Keep up the good work man.
Glad you liked it man! Thanks for watching!
Awesome video as usual. Was wondering if you have made a simple video of your process of ringing out monitors
I'll try to get a monitor ring out video up in the near future, thanks for watching!
just subscribed, last time i saw your video that titled "how i set my setup alone". And then this content pop up in my youtube home. i love to see your work.
Thanks for subscribing! I'm glad you enjoyed the setup video and found this one too. Should be more coming!
Soundguyforlife!
Hi, what. WIRELESS XLR transmitter
eceivers do you recommend? For Mics and\or speakers so I can add a speaker wirelessly?
Great Video - Love those tilters - should help the sound - can you give an indication of the total setup time including the load in - many thanks
Of course! I'll try and put that in one of the next videos!
EZ PZ from load in to out. Nice!
I like what you do man, greetings from Tunisia
Thanks dude! Glad you're enjoying!

Getting a van is a game changer and takes away so much stress! I watched your video, looks great! Keep getting after it!
Great work. Nice setup💪🏾

Yeah new video.. save for later can’t wait to watch.. 🙌🏻
Thanks for your support! I hope you enjoy the video when you get a chance to watch it!
Super cool man!
Thanks!
Woo! Keep going bro! I’m rooting for you down I-20! 👨🏻🍻
Thanks for the support Christian!
Where do you get those power con strips
I'd prefer to have all the cabling infrastructure off to the sides rather than directly in front of the performers. The power cubes can go upstage of the monitors so they get hidden. The excess cable on the sides can be coiled neatly under the loudspeaker stands. I've mixed Max and Heather at a festival, they're great folks to work with!
Max and Heather ruled! Thanks for watching man!
Hey do you mind doing a video running through all the equipment you own, what's your favorite, etc. Thanks!
Hey, how's the power stability at the venues you work in? Do you use some kind of a stabilizer or power conditioner?
The power at this gig was very stable. They have big industrial pieces of machinery so there plenty of quality power to grab, but it varies from venue to venue. I use a Furman AR15 voltage regulator and I've never had any serious issues but I'm not an expert on power. Thanks for watching dude!
Awesome, Im hoping to someday do similar work. Know how much to charge is hard.
ooh that would be a great video. What are some of the other behind the scene stuff might be helpful to know to get started?
What kind of cable do you use to make your PowerCon Cables? Also, where did you get your quad drop boxes?
I used Southwire 12ga SOOW cable but you could use their SJOOW cable and it would fit the powercon connectors a bit easier. I bought the quad boxes from OA Windsor.

Hey Connor, I was wondering what brand are those power distribution boxes that you are using! Thanks!
I bought them from a small company called OA Windsor. They're super nice and will customize your power drop if you want. Thanks for watching dude!
Thanks for the reply man! Looking for an alternative here in New Zealand.
Great video as always
Thanks man!
Do you use ethercon for the stage box or just regular CAT5?
It's a shielded Cat4 cable amzn.to/4gDWRAv.
Great job.. fan's from Malaysia
That's awesome! Thanks for watching!
6:35 Why do you do that with a parametric and no grafic EQ? Im interested by The workflow of other technichions.
I Really Like your Videos, a cool, fresh touch to TH-cam.
Graphic EQs are like taking a chain saw into surgery and replacing the scalpels with it.
Kick ass! 😎
where i can find that speakon to normal electrical plug?
I’m a DJ I don’t do live sound like this quick question what app or software are you using on the iPad to eq the mics or is that the eq for everything?
Mixing station
Love from 🇲🇾 bro! 🤟🏽
Thanks for watching all the way from Malaysia!
Great job .
Is the lighting provide by you too?
yes, BUT I wouldn't proclaim to know much about lighting. There was just a couple of par cans on the floor
I really like your stuff and the way u do things. But I didn't like the mess of cables in the front of the stage by the monitors maybe you could get some cloth or route the cables/the slack more "behind" the monitors so it looks cleaner when looking at the stage from a visitor perspective.
noted! thanks for watching!
I'm sure it helps with acoustics, but I have a hard time with the visual of tilted speakers lol
Lol yeah, I get that. There's over 50lbs of counter weight on each speaker. Thanks for watching man!
qué pasó? veo estos videos y me llena de alegría, incluso quisiera hacerlo de esta forma.... pero algo pasó? no siento esa alegría cuando pongo el sonido y todo eso.... veo que eres feliz y eso contagia...
How long does it usually take you to setup and tear down? I think it would be cool to have a setup and teardown timmer on the vids 😂
It varies from gig to gig but tear down is usually about an hour or so.
tanggapan 5000watt ki lekk
u couldve saved the hassles by having in ear monitors
What hassles? Also: Maybe monitors were requested by the band?
It's not that much hassle, and different artists have different preferences.
in ear monitors changes how you hear your own voice. Since it's a partial acoustic set, the in ears are overkill. There's more benefit in hearing everything blend through the monitor
