I had a Pest Control Business back in 2008-2010. I learned midway through that process, that if I ever do a another Pest Control business again, I would build it around the "Advance Bait Stations". Here is why...They never cancel!!! If I did it again, I would find out exactly how much it would cost to do a house (usually two boxes of Advance Bait Stations), I would also do a Termidor Wrap around the house....The Termidor Wrap (liquid) is going to make sure termites don't get to the house. The Advance Bait Stations is residual income that you want to have. Whatever it cost me to do this job, I would tack on maybe 150-200 more for my labor cost. You're going to be way below Orkin and Terminix. Go out every three months and collect your $85 dollars and make sure you do a good job monitoring the stations and inspecting the property so you don't get claims. If I was going to build a Pest Control business again, that's exactly how I would do it. In between selling termite bait stations you can do pest control, bed bug treatments, flea treatments etc. But the primary focus would be Bait Stations, they never cancel.
Termite Stations is something I want to look into in the future for sure. If you don’t mind me asking, why you stopped with your business? Unless you stated your reason before then disregard.
@@aviatorpestcontrol at that time we had a real bad down turn in the economy. That was the Obama years. I went back into the Army. Now I am three years from retiring from Army. I may get back into it after I retire.
Bro! I’m glad we have a license to kill, kill bugs all day everyday! I’ve been watching your videos, pretty interesting. My jaw dropped when you said your in Houston, maybe one day I’ll see you around! Congrats on your second truck!
You’re absolutely right. That’s actually my new goal on improving my retention rate with my current and new customers. With those customers that I lost I tried to highlight why pest control maintenance is essential, but they weren’t buying it.
@@aviatorpestcontrol brother, I admire how ambitious you are. You remind me of my younger self. If you ever need help with marketing, let me know. I’m in the middle of getting my pest control business launched and aiming for January. I see a big gap in the pest world when it comes to internet marketing. If I have the successes I’m expecting, you can copy me in TX if you’d like.
@@rvremovers I truly appreciate it man! Best of luck on your new journey! Its super exciting and a little nerve racking when you start out on your own. And absolutely, keep me posted on how it goes if you see a great outcome.

Haha people always see my truck in Houston! So I won’t be surprised if you see it any time soon. Good luck with your pest control journey 💪🏼
Start offering mosquito & ticks service. Not sure if ur area has a need for that. But it will help big time having that 2nd truck will stay busy !
Mosquitoes are huge in Houston. Most definitely. Thanks for the feedback!
Work on marketing your clients and educate them on why they need to continue the service
