I’m a certified operator in the state of Florida with pest control and termite. One of the things our company requires for customers is to have either ACH or a credit or debit card kept on file that is charged after the service is done that day.

Dude I had they same exact situation! My accountant put me on it. Purchased a solo op book of accounts from an old school vet in game (84 yrs old was still running route!) that suddenly passed away ( RIP Joe ) His wife agreed to 15% 1 year for each cust. that stayed on with me. Talk about stressful calling all those potential new customers! Just now making the final payment to her, paid her quarterly $1k each. Huge bump in business, but really stressful process. Most of the customers are elderly, kind of like on your video. I had to increase the price of each to my minimum, he was priced to low (imo) for these days. Did pretty good and it allowed me to hire my 1st tech 10 months ago and recently hired my 1st office worker. Still all remote, no office. So now its me and 2 other employees. Hopefully office worker stays on, because Im not big on the scheduling part. Year 3 in business was last April. Im a subscriber and appreciate your content. Keep on keepin on!

I am currently a local truck driver that works 4 days a week. on the 3 days I have off I don’t really do much, so I was thinking about starting up my own small pest control company. My only problem is I don’t currently own a truck or have the funds for a truck. Is it possible to start out of my 2020 Toyota Corolla? I figure I can do interior sprays, bait boxes, mice jobs. (Any other ideas for services I could run out of a car is helpful). Is it worth it to start in my car until I can eventually scale up to a truck and sprayer or should I just wait until I can afford all the gear?

Thinking about starting a business some day. It’s great to see you doing it. My dad, uncles, brothers, myself all do pest control. Everyone of our customers always jokes about how we should’ve started our own business. And I always thought that too be true but my dad (the one who got us all into the business) was always solely focused on raising us up to be hard workers and preferred prioritizing us. But I think it would be cool to continue his legacy of pest control and start one some day, as everyone loves him already
