  • In this video I go through the progressions I am using to learn the Au De Frente, a forward cartwheel which comes from Capoeira.
    It's similar to front walkover in Gymnastics, except a little more accessible for less bendy people like myself.
    All you really need to get started in a basic cartwheel.
    The key takeaways I found learning this one were:-
    - You really need to push hard with the hands as you exit
    - You need to try and keep the hips from collapsing on landing in order to exit
    - It takes many repetitions to get the pattern, so don't be discouraged if its takes quite a few sessions.

    This is a great breakdown. I've tried learning this a handful of times but never with success. I thought it was from a lack of mobility, but the technique analysis and progressions make a lot of sense and should make this much more achievable for me.

      Awesome my friend! My mobility isnt terrific, so in the beginning, a little extra speed can really help. Then as you improve your technique and mobility, you can start to slow it down.

    Love seeing the journey develop. I'm going to give these a crack tomorrow... The trying to land on one step is a great tip. I'm at the just landing in two footed sissy squat

      Awesome man! If you're landing on two feet already then you're half way there! Let me know how you go with the one foot landing! Enjoy my friend!

      @@agrifforama Nah Man Thank YOU, your Macaco video was genius, the rotation from floating table top to three point bridge was the missing link between me and the monkey ! Before I was just jumping, now the wave has begun. If you ever have bother with your knees ( I'm 50) then there is a vid on my channel might be interesting. I'll be updating the refined and expanded version soon. Happy moving.😎

    • @agrifforama
      @agrifforama  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion, this one is easier. I find the Reversao needs a little more courage to pull off.
