I love this movie... just the delivery of dialogue and physical comedy of Perry coupled with Bruce Willis' straightforward quirkiness is amazing. You're correct that the love aspect was a bit rushed, but I'll forgive the movie for that because that was just a plot device to deliver the humor. Also, i was a 15 year old boy when this came out, so there are a couple things included in there that will always stand out in my mind. Vividly. And with great appreciation.
I was coming down here to say pretty much everything that you just said... Only with a lot more words probably, cos I suck at short and concise. So thank you.
We were all here for your reaction to Tiddies and it didn't disappoint. You're the best! I very much enjoy this movie. It has that 90s not quite A-tier action comedy that is elevated by everyone involved. Amanda Peet is just maximum charisma and fun, Matthew Perry's talents were well emphasized, and I quite liked the chemistry between Bruce and Matthew.
This movie is so underrated...it is far too widely unknown to critics and audiences alike. So glad to see Em react to this one. Em...you noticed just one of the tiny things that make this movie so damned funny...that moment at 4:51 when Oz notices he is sitting so close to a long fall and hops off the concrete barrier. I only mention it because so many of the funny moments have to do with Matthew Perry's physical comedy and/or his Buster Keaton-level mugging. It just makes me happy to see you getting the same enjoyment out of Perry's performance...may he R.I.P. 💯
This is one of my favorite 'background movies.' I'm always disappointed when it goes off the streaming services. I need to get a physical copy. 4:18 - This is a real statistic. There was a study. 8:30 - I've always loved how he just kneels there for a second and then just SHOOTS forward. 13:24 - I ADORE that head turn! 13:44 - If you think back knowing this, you realize that phone call she was on when we first saw her was PROBABLY her calling to cancel the hit. Think a little further and you'll realize that Oz's wife was probably asking for the $5K to help pay for the hit.
I saw this in the theater, & remember being baffled that I could like just about every cast member separately while disliking this movie so much. In retrospect, it feels oddly cursed. We lost Michael Clarke Duncan and Matthew Perry too young, and poor Bruce Willis's situation is so tragic. 😢
I know this was a Mathew Perry watch, but for another good underrated Bruce Willis movie, You should watch Hudson Hawk. And if we're talking about underrated movies, then You should watch Oscar with Sylvester Stallone.
I haven't seen this since it was new and I remember checking out for the last chunk and I still have no idea why. Amanda Peet is frickin' adorable, Matthew Perry seems to be in a different more slapstick-y movie than anybody else, Rosanna Arquette is the wife you love to hate, Bruce Willis and Michael Clarke Duncan are fun, Natasha Henstridge was very tall and very blonde and I still dig the hell out of her ever since "Species." No idea why the ending didn't land for me - I don't have the gut reaction against romance stuff that you do. Maybe the wrap up was too neat and tidy?
Even though this movie has been rewatchable for me, I do have to agree the whole Oz and Cynthia falling in love so quick doesnt really play out right, she pretty much seems cold and distant most of the time, not someone you would warm up to right away.
Watched this so many times on VHS, really fun film. Sadly both of them are gone. Matthew dead and Bruce no longer verbal and barely communicating, essentially gone as well. Life sucks sometimes.
I got such a laugh when I thought you might say "That's Harlan Williams," or maybe "That's Kenny from Half Baked!" But instead you go, "That's Rocket Man!"
Just imagine that you grow up as Michael Duncan, suburban white boy, and in your mid teens you add a Clarke and find out that you are actually a giant black man.
That is mine and my wife’s favorite Mathew Perry movie! We watch it several times a year and fun fact a lot of friends actors are in it including Mathew’s father.
Not insta love but trauma love for the dentist, they both risked their own lives to save the other. The assistant was idol love, her meeting her hero and him liking the praise. That is why the relationships developed so quickly, but it was poorly explained in the movie. Franky had to die because he was untrustworthy. He just killed his boss. How long before he turned on Jimmy?
I've determined that this will be the year I finally do the Moist Maker sandwich - your shirt's amazing. PS I do believe Bruce got an Emmy for his guest role, so he did get some personal acknowledgement (even tho he gave his money to all those amazing charities).
11:15 oh my gosh...I adore you and have missed watching you guys! You are so genuine and had me smiling (and laughing) throughout the reaction. It was a hectic summer and I haven't been on YT/ had the time to watch y'all's reactions in a while. This, truly, made me so happy. Thank you, as always, for being you! Also, thank you for highlighting some of Matthew Perry's films and moments with your reactions/ discussions. Beautiful.
While you are correct that Oz doesn’t know Cynthia at all, you have to remember who he's currently married to. I'd make that change everyday of my life.
RIP to Matthew Perry and this is certainly a fun movie, though I can definitely see why and where people can find the love at first sight trope a bit nauseating and off putting. I highly recommend you watch RED and RED2, with Bruce Willis, the cast is insane, and you can tell having a blast. They have some similarities with this film but deliver at a much different and higher level, they're like this film on steroids, and while I really like this one, RED and the sequel, blow it out of the water.
Great reaction Emily, personally love this movie myself, but I can understand why you didn't like the ending. Fair enough, and your rating was a solid 7 that's still pretty good 👍
5:33 Are you *kidding* ?! Rosanna Arquette is totally hot! The character she's playing here is definitely a terrible person. But physically....she's so hot! Rosanna, yeah!
If by chance you actually read this > Cynthia and Oz were in the same loveless relationships for 5-6 years each. They were instantly attracted to each other by Oz filling in the missing romantic feelings for Cynthia (as she mentioned Jimmy cheated on her all the time and she was trapped) and it was love at first for Oz after being married to the hell bitch. Cynthia was certainly hesitant about Oz but didn't have anything to compare her mixed emotions about him. Sometimes you just got to let go and feel free....not over analyze. Love at first can happen and did to me 36 years ago when I spotted my future wife. I knew at that exact moment I wanted to marry her without knowing anything about her. We have been married for 33 years now.
Responding to comments on planes. Only 100 years ago was horse and buggy. About 150-200 years ago everyone thought the world was flat. Really hope to see first moon base and mars base before I die. Very possibly in next 50 years.
This movie is why Willis was on Friends. Bruce thought the movie would bomb. He bet if it was a hit he would go on friends giving his salary to charity. He lost
TH-cam has decided to flood my recommendations with a western called They Call Me Trinity. It's an Italian comedy western with an actor called Terence Hill. Have you seen it?
So I remember watching this movie once and not really being interested in watching it again and your reaction reminded me why - its a fine enough comedy for most moments, but the romance stuff is just off-putting because I just think its just not done well. Bruce and Matthew are good parts at least and their stuff is great.
Your disdain for romcoms, you need to watch the epitome of anti-rom coms and watch War of the Roses with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. A classic in dark comedies.
Thank You for Reacting to My Favorite "Killer Comedy" of All-Time!👍 R.I.P. to Matthew Perry💔and if Y'all haven't seen "Nowhere to Run" ('93) yet, then I'd Recommend checking-it-out. Rosanna Arquette (Oz's Wife) Co-Stars in that, and She is so HOT❤🔥that You won't believe She's the same person! 😉👌
To be fair, a half dead house plant would be an upgrade from his current wife, so it’s not hard to fall in love so quickly with a beautiful woman like that. 😂😂😂😂
If I had to take a guess, the thing with the whole Oz/love thing is probably the same issue I had. Love is a deep thing, and the whole movie his character was just not deep. He was shallow, over-reactive, not a heavy thinker, just overall being carried along without having much say in things for most of the movie, so when that all happened, I had trouble believing that he had the kind of thoughtful depth that love takes, so yeah, I saw it as just over-inflated infatuation.
Yea, 7 is fair score. This is Amanda Peet's big break out roll. The final act needed a re-write, I think it would have been better if the wife and mother got killed, and or Jill got to kill someone. As far as dark humor goes, I think they chickened out... I think they wanted to go for it, but the studio pulled them back from it, that's why the 3rd act is so lame...
As a possible excuse for the rushed romantic plot, remember that these two characters had a mutual physical attraction, and both were the *only* decent people either one of them had in their lives. It's forgivable, I think, to fall in love, or at least feel like you are, when it's just that much better than everything else in your life.
If a man & a woman are placed in a life or death situation & (the man saves the woman or 🔁).The surviver falling for the rescuer under such traumatic circumstances is much more likely to happen. Even w/in 24 hours. Victims of fires & auto accidents often fall in love w/their rescuers. That's very real. Did they present it correctly in the movie. Not really, & it shows.
Mayo is a requirement for a really good burger....nothing to do with flavor. If you toast the bun (as you always should) then mayo on the bottom bun is a fat barrier =not soggy bottom bun. And I do not eat kethup on burger.....mayo, mustard, tomato, lettuce red onion. Basic....
Why wont anybody do fools rush in? There is only one reactor that did it. EVERYBODY is doing the whole nine yards. I dont even like it that much. Fools rush in is actually Matthew Perry's favorite film he did. Bummed.
I love this movie... just the delivery of dialogue and physical comedy of Perry coupled with Bruce Willis' straightforward quirkiness is amazing. You're correct that the love aspect was a bit rushed, but I'll forgive the movie for that because that was just a plot device to deliver the humor.

Fun fact: The director of The Whole Nine Yards, Jonathan Lynn, also directed Clue and My Cousin Vinny.
“Oh, the tiddies betrayed us.” No sentence has ever better summarized my life 😂
This movie is so underrated...it is far too widely unknown to critics and audiences alike. So glad to see Em react to this one.

RIP, Matthew Perry, we love you, we miss you.
I just found out (a few days ago) that he died. I was a fan of Friends but I also think of these movies when I think about him.
17:21 “Tiddies…and such”. The velocity at which the coffee shot out my nose upon hearing this should be studied by scientists. 😂
This movie made the dark comedy threshold when the assistant started to talk assissation ambitions with Bruce
This is one of my favorite 'background movies.' I'm always disappointed when it goes off the streaming services. I need to get a physical copy.
4:18 - This is a real statistic. There was a study.

Amanda Peet has an INCREDIBLE smile. It's so charming.
I would say that she has UUUGE tracts of land...but her...teeth...are not all that big, as spectacular as they are. LOLOLOLOLOL
She's even better in the sequel.
I saw this in the theater, & remember being baffled that I could like just about every cast member separately while disliking this movie so much.

I love Hudson Hawk and Oscar. Both are fun movies I like to watch now and again.
"YAY, TIDDIES!!!" 😁
I haven't seen this since it was new and I remember checking out for the last chunk and I still have no idea why. I am so glad you're doing this movie. This movie is so good!!! The sequel is pretty solid too. Love you guys!!!!!
the sequel is NOT great. but it is still hilarious despite itself.
One heck of a 'Tiddies!' scene for you Emily 😉
I wouldn’t have been able to keep a straight face during scenes where Kevin Pollak (Janni) was talking..
"Ya know I've got the same car? Really??? NO"
This was one of those films that I always meant to see at some point and now seems like a good time. RIP
The sequel is a lot of fun too if you're interested.
Even though this movie has been rewatchable for me, I do have to agree the whole Oz and Cynthia falling in love so quick doesnt really play out right, she pretty much seems cold and distant most of the time, not someone you would warm up to right away.
I loved it because of Matthew. Yes there is a second one. Please watch it too
The teddies betrayed us 😂😂😂
Watched this so many times on VHS, really fun film. Sadly both of them are gone. Matthew dead and Bruce no longer verbal and barely communicating, essentially gone as well. Life sucks sometimes.
And Michael Clark Duncan RIP
I love this film, the story line is so funny, I am surprised that Mrs.SUMM wasn't too impressed with it.
This was a great movie, parry is a physical actor and played the part great and Bruce is solid all round badass
The pink secret sauce that most restaurants used is mayo based.
1997 Fools Rush In with Matthew Perry Selma Hayek is also a good movie
That is mine and my wife’s favorite Mathew Perry movie! We watch it several times a year and fun fact a lot of friends actors are in it including Mathew’s father.

Great sleeper movie. I watch it at least a couple times a year. There's a second one too!
R.I.P To A Great Actor Matthew Perry,You Will Be Missed 😢
Emily is so adorable
You should check out “Almost Heroes” with Perry and Chris Farley
I've determined that this will be the year I finally do the Moist Maker sandwich - your shirt's amazing. PS I do believe Bruce got an Emmy for his guest role, so he did get some personal acknowledgement (even tho he gave his money to all those amazing charities).
Imagine Poor Bruce Willis being told Matthew was gone.
15:11 Amanda really fell here, and they kept it in.
Bruce Willis had a brief musical career in his early days, before leaning more into movie acting.
Can't wait for you to do a reaction to the sort of classic 'Down Periscope' with Kelsey Grammar.
Great Reaction Emily & Love Your Cool T Shirt 😊
11:15 oh my gosh...I adore you and have missed watching you guys! You are so genuine and had me smiling (and laughing) throughout the reaction. Your reactions are always entertaining.
👍👍
What is even wilder, there was less than 100 years from the first flight to the moon landing
While you are correct that Oz doesn’t know Cynthia at all, you have to remember who he's currently married to. I'd make that change everyday of my life.

Check out Three To Tango with Matthew Perry and Neve Campbell, a romantic comedy where the leads actually have good chemistry.
15:20 You are a true kindred spirit and not alone in your way of thinking. haha
I love THE WHOLE 10 YARDS just as much which was the sequel with the same cast.
To be fair, i'd have asked Natasha Henstridge to marry me too! lol
Love your t-shirt btw, only Friends fans will "get it" though.
I think Analyze This would be a better pick for a movie in the Crime/Comedy genre.
20:09
You know that you've reached a new level of scumbaggery when your LAWYER wants nothing to do with you.
I’d vote for that “congress”.
I have this movie on DVD, cool reaction as always Emily, you take care and have a great weekend sweetie 🥰❤️
RIP Matthew Perry 🙏
Anyone who has to say they are not high, has had a snifter of cognac or two. Or a box of wine and a beer.
Great reaction Emily, personally love this movie myself, but I can understand why you didn't like the ending.
Fair enough, and your rating was a solid 7 that's still pretty good 👍
This is movie is prolly my all time favorite. Watched it a-kajillion times. Also, very respectable tiddies scene ✊
a surprisingly good movie
"The tiddies betrayed us!" You're not the first one to say that in this world of ours.
you that far forward of your couch makes me feel like you are in front of the 4th wall
(channeling my inner Matthew) Well, first of all... You're wrong... ;)
5:33 Are you *kidding* ?! Rosanna Arquette is totally hot! The character she's playing here is definitely a terrible person. But physically....she's so hot!
Rosanna, yeah!
I agree on the flying take. 😤😶🌫️😮💨
If by chance you actually read this > Cynthia and Oz were in the same loveless relationships for 5-6 years each. You are too funny to watch. 😂 Love ya!
This is your best reaction to a tittie scene in a movie!!! 😂😂😂
Responding to comments on planes. Only 100 years ago was horse and buggy. About 150-200 years ago everyone thought the world was flat. Really hope to see first moon base and mars base before I die. Very possibly in next 50 years.
Omg ….hahaha …. I love this movie ….. you gotta watch The Whole Ten Yards. …. Just as good
I love this movie so much and I hope you watch the sequel as well. It's so much funnier. Bruce Willis is top tier comedy in the sequel
Love this movie. But so sad that Matthew Perry died recently, at a young age, Michael Clarke Duncan died early too, and Bruce Willis has dementia.
You should watch the sequel too, its just as funny as this one
If you liked Natasha Henstridge in this, then I would suggest:
"Species" (1995)
Love this movie and when I now realize that Matthew is gone; Michael is gone, and the god awful state Bruce is now in just makes me all around sad :(
You should watch 3 to Tango.
This movie is why Willis was on Friends. Bruce thought the movie would bomb. He bet if it was a hit he would go on friends giving his salary to charity. He lost

Season 2 Wheel Of Time, when?
😋
How can people drink scotch neat - are you joking 😂😊
14:38 😂😂😂😂

I like it up till the romantic cheese especially at the end. It’s so ham fisted and forced. The comedy is great though.
To be fair, a half dead house plant would be an upgrade from his current wife, so it’s not hard to fall in love so quickly with a beautiful woman like that. 😂😂😂😂

3 idiots and PK movies reaction please, please, please, please.
Per your request: your rating is wrong because I personally like the movie, and my tastes are the only valid ones.
😁👍
I love this Movie and I watched it more than 10x but it is only a 07,5/10 for me.
I am so behind on my movie review people.
Yea, 7 is fair score. This is Amanda Peet's big break out roll. The final act needed a re-write, I think it would have been better if the wife and mother got killed, and or Jill got to kill someone.

steve miller band reference strongly indicates you are drinking buddy material emily
Did Emily just say that Rosanna Arquette is not that hot? For the first time I have to doubt her taste.
As a possible excuse for the rushed romantic plot, remember that these two characters had a mutual physical attraction, and both were the *only* decent people either one of them had in their lives. It's forgivable, I think, to fall in love, or at least feel like you are, when it's just that much better than everything else in your life.
Ummm... look at his first marriage. He has a thing for blondes and "fools rush in" lol
Are you guys going to do the Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie?
If a man & a woman are placed in a life or death situation & (the man saves the woman or 🔁).The surviver falling for the rescuer under such traumatic circumstances is much more likely to happen. Even w/in 24 hours. Victims of fires & auto accidents often fall in love w/their rescuers. That's very real. Did they present it correctly in the movie. Not really, & it shows.
the movie is a classic, but there was no romantic chemistry...
you are wrong I would fall in love with her
Why do you hate romance so much? You seem to be poo-pooing a pretty amazing movie over your hangups
Basic....
You can just use butter, man
Your distaste for romance makes me giggle. This movie was funny and romantic as HELL, and you didn't enjoy it. Oh well. Too bad for you.
Why wont anybody do fools rush in? There is only one reactor that did it. EVERYBODY is doing the whole nine yards. I dont even like it that much. Fools rush in is actually Matthew Perry's favorite film he did. Bummed.
