This is the master grand daddy of all RPGs. The one that started it all. Sort of like the one ring of power in Lord of the Rings. I bought this game and it's just as brutal as I remember it. I lost 3 party members already. What fun.😁
You haven't lived until you've had your entire party annihilated because your thief thought the trap was priest blaster and it was exploding box instead.
I love how the original plays along with the remake and you can see how it worked with all the menus and graphics. Great presentation and animations. Really epic battle music! Wonderful remake indeed! ❤
I could never get into the early Wizardry games. I just got lost and confused very quickly. Just being able to see doors, stairs, and down hallways has made this game so much more playable for me. I'm currently on Floor 5 trying to figure it out. I highly recommend this. It's hard, because of the graphics. I turned most of the old school options on too
The "issue" was that he left his party in the maze. They aren't WITH him anymore. Gotta go back and read the warning before selecting "return to town", or see the "in maze" status on his roster in town. He'd have to create a new party and use them to retrieve the ones he left behind. Next time, leave the maze by actually walking out to do what he'd intended to do.
I thought at first it was because he had a dead party member and that you could not enter the maze again without 6 whole players as a kind of safety net thing.
So if he created a new party or recruited six new guys and went back in the Maze how does he retrieve the ones he left in there? if you can only have six in your party. that's kind of confusing. Cool video though thanks for posting it
@@fstim82 thanks for the heads up I'm thinking of checking out the game I kind of like old school stuff unfortunately I'm addicted on some free to play mobile game sucks up most of my time
This game kind of reminds me of the one I had on the old Apple 2gs called The Bard's Tale. That was pretty fun. You also traveled through the town which was sort of like a maze. It would be cool if they remade that one but it's not as old I think it may have been out around 89 or so
Badly needs patching. Keeps hanging mid fight like it’s waiting for an input and all you can do is exit to Home Screen and force close - hoping it has saved as far as possible. I would avoid buying right now. Very annoying for a £35 game.
Your party was in the Maze. When you left to the town, it literally told you that you were leaving the party behind in the Maze.

The ring of power was made last so that analogy doesn't work.

Oh boy. There goes my spare time, and so much save scumming to avoid stat losses upon leveling.

Thanks for the correction! We definitely didn't notice that. Duly noted!

I really want a physical release..or else ill just wait till the price drops..
Speaking of Apple II games, honourable mention also goes to the Phantasie series published by SSI or Strategic Simulations Inc.

They have remastered the Bards Tale games. They are on PC and come with Bards Tale 4, or sold separately
@@Mark-sd4hv that's cool man I have not owned a PC in almost 10 years though but thanks for the heads up
