I wonder, given that they say that the people on Snaktooth Island are looking to 'fill a hole in their soul' and they each have some type of emotional issue, whether it be from self-esteem or their interpersonal relations, if that's what the bugsnax prey upon. And if the player doesn't have the same type of issues, in that they have a clear and distinct purpose for having come to the island (finding out about the bugsnax and what happened to Lizbert) and are pursuing that purpose near single-mindedly, and that's why they aren't affected by the bugsnax and become sick upon trying to eat one, because the bugsnax has nothing it can prey upon, no hole that it can try to fill.

Likely the reason why Aero the Acro-Bat is being brought back for modern consoles is because another "animal with attitude" mascot created following the success of the Sonic the Hedgehog games has been brought back for modern consoles; Sparkster the Rocket Knight, in the Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-Sparked compilation. Personally, I always thought that Aero looked like the offspring of Knuckles the Echidna and Rouge the Bat.

I loved this game on the SNES when I was growing up. Looking forward to playing the whole series on my Switch.

When I checked Game Pass I noticed this game was added. Never heard of it before then but I’m keen to play when I resub.

Such a silly & cute 90s shooter. I can totally see Jerry Seinfeld playing this on his crt in his little apartment hahah... By contrast, many other shooters especially modern ones has that really grim or 'cool' tone, which can get a bit tedious. So this is refreshing to see. I find you dont need to recalibrate the gyro in shooters like this, since you use the sticks to look around constantly. Gyro should really only be used for minor aiming adjustments. Might want to lower the gyro sensetivity though.

this looks really good actually - just checked it out on the eshop - in the UK it's just under 40 pounds so a full priced game - it's really competitive at the moment on the eshop, so I hope it hasn't gone in too expensive and gets overlooked. Nice video Seth, Sparky x

As much as I love the Metroid Prime 4, zelda and Mario announcements, this took me by suprise and I have never played the series before! I wanted this so bad and it came true! Im playing this on Day 1 when it comes out! MVC is back in business!

I loved it, finished it within about three hours but as a Yorkshireman (where Barnsworth is based on), the humour and wit in the game is reasonably accurate and I enjoyed it so much more for that reason!

The game really translated well! It’s a shame they did some of the textures so dirty, but when it comes out I’ll probably have to get a switch by then 😂

14:07, you're absolutely right, I've played this on the PS5 and its a great game, leaps and bounds better. Smoother frame rate, none of the pop in especially with the trees. Too bad cause a version of Lake you can play on the go with the Switch is an exciting concept and seemed within reach. The older hardware I guess was a struggle for the development team, but hopefully they do their best to improve it with updates.

I agree with you. This is my favorite 3ds game also. I'll even go as far to say it's probably my favorite game of all time. I need this remaster. I still play it on 3DS, and seeing as how the handheld is now dead, we need it more than ever.

I could never pass the first two levels, so now it would be a good time to give Aero a second chance. I hope this game gets a PC release.
