I had to be blunt and tell them no, or little to nothing, because no one wants to play with a broken handheld. Parents used it as a teaching moment for their kids to remind them that is why they need to take better care of their stuff.
I was working at GameStop when the 2DS came out. A co-worker and I were talking about it and wondering why Nintendo would make a system like this. A customer overheard us and mentioned that she worked with mentally disabled people, and that this version was less likely to break if dropped/ thrown than the 3DS’s clamshell design. We hadn’t thought of that angle.
That angle eh? That you dad? JK that is a sweet story and this form factor rocks. Feels good in my adult hands but is safer for kids or those with disabilities
Mine broke in only a week after getting it. You know why? Because I put it in my backpack and it got crushed. Meanwhile my DS Lite from 2009 still works fine, and that things been used and abused a hell of a lot more.
When I was younger I had an original DS. I wanted to play 3ds games so badly but couldn’t afford one. My parents offered to get me a 2DS but I had never seen a “2DS game” in stores so never took that offer. I was furious when I realized what a 2DS actually did.
Same. I wanted a 3ds and I remember my parents offering me a 2ds once. I refused though because I thought it was just a cheap alternative. I didn't get either. Even to this day where I'm still trying to get one of them
I got a 2DS myself because I never bothered with the 3d feature. just hurt my eyeballz edit: just so you know, both of you sound really spoiled in the stories you just told...
Probably one of the greatest gaming deals of all time. For $79, PLUS Mario Kart 7 included, AND included the AC adapter (hilarious that New 3DS XL would NOT come with one). You could buy 2 brand new systems for multiplayer/family if you were on a budget and got a ton of value in return. Also cool that you could use them as controllers for Smash Wii U. And the amiibo NFC reader was only $15-$19. Insane what those things go for now!
Plus for like another $30, if wanted to jailbreak it, you could get a sd card and a copy of Brain Age off the e-shop (you could get any game off the e-shop for the jailbreak to work, Brain Age was just the cheapest at like $1) and all of a sudden you have a pretty sweet emulation console on the go. Beat buying whatever handful of roms Nintendo had available on the e-shop at $5-$10 a pop when I was a kid obsessed with retro gaming.
No moving parts, no clam-shell, and incredible balance/center of gravity will do that. Aside from a horribly squishy d-pad that makes playing rhythm games nigh-impossible, 2DS is an incredibly ergonomic, and sturdy machine. I love my Switch Lite for the same reasons. If only the Switch Lite were lighter-weight and thinner...
Got these for my kids when they were 5,6 and 7. These things were amazingly tough and survived 2 years until I got em the switch lite. I only tried with them that young because I got em new at 60 a piece. They still break em out on occasion
@@startedtech Technically the Wii U never went below $300 either. We just kinda got the Deluxe version to be that price after a while, but it's not too different from seeing a Switch + game bundle going for $300.
We got this for my brother as his first game system on his 6th birthday. No matter what world you live in, $80 for a brand new system, and Mario Kart 7 is an astonishing deal. Absolutely crazy that Nintendo could produce these at such a cheap price point. I regret not getting a few for myself when they were still being sold new.
People were being too harsh on the 2DS, it was overall better for kids and parents who don’t want the 3D effect nor the foldable display. I actually preferred it to the 3DS, because of its durability and if you had young kids that played with your game systems, I was more lenient about it. The kids were watching TH-cam on the 2DS and playing lot of multiplayer games like Mario Kart!
Yeah, I remember one time my brother woke me up because he was playing with the sound app on the 3ds, so I took it away from him so I could go back to sleep, but because I was tired I accidently dropped it and it popped into 2 where the hinge was. The interesting things about that is that there was still a cable connecting the screens, so it still worked for like a week or so after that happened but it was annoying to play with like that and it did eventually stop working. Regardless of any of that the lack of hinge increases durability and when you have a lot of siblings sharing a console that's a huge plus, especially since most of have autism and adhd so we tend to leave weird place or drop it in accident. Case in point I have left my phone in the fridge in accident on multiple occasions so you know I'm a hot mess 😂
@@marymurphy1429 I’ve always hated hinges in mobile devices, because of their design flaws of wires being attached and connected to the screen. Having a unibody design, makes it reliable for families! Also I mostly plugged in headphones for music or anything loud in the games. I was 32 when the 2DS came out, & about 6 months afterwards I saw some pop up on Nintendo's eBay store for 60 bucks, so I snatched up a red/black version, and it was perfect for my work breaks, and when I had to travel for work, as it was cheap enough to chuck in my bag, and if something happened to it, I was not out much money, and with a cheap aftermarket battery upgrade it almost doubled the runtime. So yeah it was also great not just for kids, but people who did not want to spend a lot of money on something like a PSVita, and the expensive memory cards.
Yep. I remember when I was a kid I went into Walmart with my recently obtained birthday money, saw 2ds's for $80 that also came with Mario kart 7, and since I've never had a 3ds before, I decided to buy one. Still probably the best $80 I've ever spent and I still use it to this day.
I went in to buy a 2DS and this clueless dude was legit trying to tell me that I shouldn't get the 2DS because it was the old version, and I needed a 3DS to play 3DS games, as though they were numbered consoles like PlayStations. Keep in mind, this was back before Sun and Moon had even released- the 2DS was a new piece of hardware. And this fella was in his 20s, working at a Toys R Us- they should've understood the purpose of a 2DS. ...I did not buy a console from him.
I LOVE my 2DS. It's built like a tank, it doesn't have the wack 3D slider and function, and there's no fragile/wearing out hinge. Plus it fits better in my large-fingered hands.
Same, the only bad part about it is the horrible speaker. I did an upgrade on it and it's much better now, just wish it had the better new 3ds chipset to run all the GOOD good homebrew stuff
@@Whiteythereaper I already have the oldest 3ds and the new3ds but gave away 3 2dses to my nieces and my ex, actually! Just never grabbed one that actually stayed with me. I havent touched mine in years to be honest, there's nobody to play with anymore. Maybe in another life somehow
i grew up with the 2DS and i'll always have love for it. i can get why people referred to it back then as the worst model since it had no 3d and it didn't have the clamshell design that the other DS/3DS models had but honestly, this thing was amazing. it was the perfect device for me back then since it was cheap which made it more convincing for my parents to get one for me and most importantly i could still play all the 3DS and DS games i wanted to play back in the day. this was my all in one media device during the mid - late 2010s, i could play games like smash 4, animal crossing, pokemon and zelda, i could watch videos on youtube and the nintendo anime channel and for social media there was miiverse which was... interesting. plus this thing was built like a tank. i dropped it so many times and the only damage it took were some dents and scratches, besides that it was as good as always. i could go on and on but man, i'll always love and cherish the 2DS and all the memories it gave me during my core/late childhood years.
Reasons I like my 2DS despite owning a New 3DSXL: 1) Slab design feels less finicky/fragile. 2) Lighter and easier to support. 3) Large L and R Buttons. 4) More traditional mushy buttons. 5) Matte finish.
This. Non-clamshell meant no moving parts, nothing to wiggle around, and a consistent/un-moving center of gravity (as opposed to constantly shifting slight amounts) that was centered over all of your fingers and your palms. The clamshell systems cause the center of gravity to shift out away from your grip, thus requiring more grip force from your fingers to hold onto/hope it doesn't get bumped into when you're out and about/hope you don't lose grip when adjusting your hands to reach something/take a slight break. The shoulder buttons are contoured, too, which is super comfortable to just rest your fingers in. I love low-force buttons, and rubber dome generally does that better than tact switches (clicky switches), but, actually, the 2DS is *too* squishy, IMO. Action buttons are okay, but the D-pad is so dang squishy, I can't feel it at all. Playing Lego Rockband is practically impossible, and the only reason I'm able to play it at all is because I'm absolutely destroying each input, to make sure I can feel my thumb impacting the system - otherwise it's just marshmallows and nerf, and it messes up my rhythm. Pretty sure the inside of all 3DS systems are matte, too. I know the shell of my blue 3DS XL is a metallic-matte, too.
Oh man I remember the online discourse when this thing was first announced and revealed as if it were the grim reaper and death for Nintendo. And now it’s seen as retro and vindicated. History and hindsight is a funny thing.
For some reason I found it so funny every time I saw one at first. I saw it as just a slight downgrade. and I treated new 2ds as a running gag. Eventually I realized they were only $80 a pop and that's a fantastic deal.
@@174Anime Most of the arguments against the 2DS I remember from back in the day were more or less: Do you know what was also 80 dollars a pop (at the time at least)? A used 3DS.
the statement scott made about how weak the 3DS' hinge is reminded me of the fact that my 3DS XL somehow still works perfectly and has a rock-solid hinge a little over 10 years after i emptied the drum of a nerf gun onto it at point-blank range in an attempt to go viral on vine. it also somehow still holds a charge while unplugged after going through the abuse of me playing it daily for 6+ hours while plugged in the whole time. i'm scared of that thing, i think it could survive a nuclear blast.
@@alisona.4166 my friend actually said "great we found a new source of nintendium" when i told them about how much abuse my 3DS has put up with, all for the only repair i've ever need to do on it being replacing the circle pad.
i will always remember getting a MK7 blue 2ds with SMM3DS with my own money when i lost my OG 3ds. this system will always have a specal place in my heart.
The greatest benefit was that I could put it into sleep mode without the hinge noise. This was important if one was playing Warioware’s “gamer” in real life.
I never had the luxury of owning a 3ds when I was a kid. When I got a job, i was so excited experiencing a 3ds so I got this. It was a suprisingly great experience. A bit on smaller side but the form factor, the price and the fact that you can play 3ds games this cheap?! It was all a win for me.
As an old head who had an OG gameboy this is the more comfortable DS system for me. Gives me the same joy as the old gameboy and the game selection and variety of the 3DS generation is amazing.
Love you Scott, you've got me through some rough times these few weeks. Your humor is amazing and your 1-2 scenes with a lot of effort just for comedic purposes are underrated!
Bro I absolutely adore this video. Like, I love your humor and the goofy shit you do in a lot of your main videos, but hearing you speak sincerely is super engaging. Any video like this will 100% get my support. Well done!
I can do without the chastising of the product name at the beginning, though. The guy is talking out of his ass. DS never officially stood for "Dual Screen" - because it was also said to stand for "Developers' System", by Nintendo themselves. Also, 3DS is a mashup, not an acronym - it's "3D", and "DS". In the same way that SEGA isn't an acronym - it's a mashup and contraction of "Service" and "Games". So "2DS" isn't hard to figure out - it's just "2D" and "DS".
My kids all got a 2DS when I had my 3DSXL. We had so much fun playing games together and I can’t deny that the button layout on the 2DS is more comfortable than having all the buttons on the bottom screen of the 3DS. They’ve moved on to the switch, but the DS line will always just be awesome to me.
honestly my favorite thing about this console variant is that it's flat and doesn't have the ribbon flexi cables threaded in the hinge making it so much easier to service if you need to. it's obviously not as easy to take apart as a gameboy or something but because it's all just a flat square it's so much more accessible to home repair if needed. The price point too now just makes it so much easier to get a hold of since other 3ds models have gone up so much in price on the secondhand market. I remember thinking the design was a bit stupid looking back when it released, but now i've grown quite fond of it.
Nintendo board meeting: Executive: "I got an idea for the newest 3DS system! It's the greatest idea since sliced bread!" * Throws 2DS down on the table* President: "It's just a slice of bread." Executive: "Exactly!"
@@Poever Probably since it cut down the cost and the 3D on the 3DS was pretty wonky and likely brought back nostalgia for when they did slab form factor with the original gameboy line (pocket and color) and the GBA. @@Poever it isn't that complicated 1.) make an even less expensive alternative to the 3DS 2.) make a version without 3D so that younger kids would be easier to sell to since parents did have concerns over the 3D hurting the eyes 3.) What was even more crazy about the 2DS was Nintendo had an eBay store at the time, & if you caught it just right a refurbished 2DS unit(no different from new beside the box) with the AC Adapter, & 4GB SD card could be had for 60 bucks which was an insane value, & that's I got one getting me into the 3DS/2DS ecosystem, then with a cheap battery upgrade you could almost double the battery life of it, it was such a great little system to chuck in my bag when I traveled for work at the time.
$79 made it such an easy gift to give. And thanks to the eShop you were able to take advantage of the Virtual Console. Even today with the homebrew community it still holds up extremely well.
I love it because I was already collecting for the Vita and the 2ds was cheap entry cost to have Nintendo content. It is decidedly non-sexy but it is comfortable to hold and built like a friggin' tank!
The value for this was insane. All the 3ds and ds library for 70 bucks and it was comfortable to hold. The mushy buttons felt really good and if you use a switch lite you know what I mean
Imagine a 4ds - you fill a hidden chamber with water and at some points in games it squirts you with water, when there is fire it blasts out hot air through a fan, if there is a windy or snowy area it blows out cold air instead, vibration when you interact with something
Scotts abilities to so effectively gesticulate really ought to be appreciated... he somehow conveys comedic bits using just his hands as body language.
One thing that can't be understated is how comfortable this console is to hold in hand. It just feels *right* Yes it's an eye-sore, but I can definitely play the 2DS all day without any ergonomic issues
The 2DS was my FIRST DS system! Which is crazy, I know, but I was out of Nintendo-related gaming for most of the post-Wii period (until the Switch). My sister came home with a 2DS of her own that she got on a boxing day sale - $90 Canadian. Being just after Christmas, my cheap ass was hesitant to spend even that on a system I wasn't sure about... But it CAME WITH MARIO KART 7! I was sold. Then I got into Pokemon again, then Samus Returns came out, and man... I have great memories of those first few years on the 3DS "family of systems". Upgraded to the Zelda 3DS, and then the Samus Returns one... I mean... I'm not made of stone, and it's my favourite gaming franchise... And I know I'll be keeping that system until I'm cold in the ground!
Tbh, I didn't think I'd ever buy a 2DS. I already had a 3DS for a while, and later upgraded to the XL model. Then, last year, I saw one at a yard sale for $5. Picked it up, homebrewed it, and I still love using it to this day. It's so comfy in my hands and works just as well as my 3DS XL. Just with smaller screens and no hinge or 3D slider.
When they revealed this 2DS I thought about games that had puzzles where you solved them by closing a traditional DS - Trace Memory/Another Code, Hotel Dusk, Zelda Phantom Hourglass - and how that would be impossible on this console and that is probably why I have never bought the system.
Sold mine to a friend when i got a NSMB2 Gold Edition 3DS XL. We had two of these for almost 9 years, whereas the original 3DS XL that i got that same year (2015) broke later that year. The other 2DS eventually short circuited, and we had to sell it for parts. I dont regret switching, but ill always remember my time with it.
One of those people that upgraded from 3DS XL to 2DS here: Had to get one after the 3DS' hinge broke and I'll tell you it especially with the carrying case was virtually indestructible. Served me for so long that by the time the charging port stopped working and I got a new 3DS I totally forgot what the 3D effect was like.
My entrance into 3ds and even regular DS games, me and my sister got ours in 2017 and i still have her 2ds in one of my drawers. She didnt want it anymore. Mine was most likely sold along with my DS, and DSi XL. If not, it was broken.
@@Nerdtendo6366 Your right, i might have just thought that since i only have used mine very few times. I have used me 3ds xl more often, so i might just be dumb.
I personally loved it from the start, the design of it was very retro and reminicent of the original Gameboy, I loved it so much that I bought more than 12 versions (as a collector).
The new 2DS XL really was the worst console of the entire lineup. It had neither the appeal of the 2DS (cheap, sturdy) nor the appeal of a 3DS (3D). Sure, you might say that 3D was a gimmick, but weren't the "new" additions even more of a gimmick? The only worthwhile feature the new 3DS added was face tracking for 3D, which is useless on a 2D screen.
I got the skeleton blue one at launch and played the heck out of it. Still have a soft spot for it, and the weight balance in the hands is better than the clamshells.
I have so many memories of this system. I still have it in my room, but I rarely use it anymore. 8 years after buying it, it still works almost perfectly. I always found it much more comfortable to hold than the 3DS.
Sometimes as in where exactly? When like feeling having less comfort? As in this handheld is just so comfy, I wish it had black and white screen instead, or 1D less
@@Pandajihen Tbf I just like how it feels comfortable. But I kinda go back and forth on which feels better to hold but I think I prefer the 2DS *slightly* more
I didn't have a lot of money at the time the 3DS came out so the 2DS was a life saver for me when I finally had a lil money. Got one with ORAS and Animal Crossing New Leaf
I'm cheap when it comes to buying games/consoles, but when I spotted one of these on the Nintendo refurb store for $60 with MK7 and free shipping, I couldn't pass up the chance to see what all the 3DS hype had been about. Man I fell in love with that thing. So many nights in bed playing MK7, Mario 3D Land and random indie titles that punched above their weight. Caused me to end up buying the SNES-themed N3DSXL about a year later, which is now one of my most prized consoles. The 3DS was a great platform.
In like 2019, I wanted a 3DS for my birthday. The 2DS was however cheaper and I didn't really care about the 3D gimmick on the 3DS, so I decided to instead get that (funnily enough the same model you show in this video) and New Super Mario Bros 2. I should've gotten the 3DS really but I didn't care, since all I really cared about was wanting to play 3DS games. I can see why some people didn't like it back then though. Also was a terrible door stopper. I still have it today, albeit in not good but still usable and can still play games albeit digital only games because the game cart slot doesn't work anymore condition.
The 2DS was my first 3DS system. Was given as a gift, and chosen because it was cheaper. I didn't care enough about the 3D to be bothered with it. I enjoyed it. Eventually got a 2DS XL to succeed it.
Oh my gosh, you cannot believe how long ive been waiting for this, i have a weird fetish with the 2DS, a real unquenchable urge to educate myself on it, thanks Scatt, from the bottom of my heart :)
I bought one of these not long after it launched because I couldn't afford the XL, played the heck out of it. I still have it, I recently replaced the battery in it with an official Nintendo battery because I found out it uses the same battery as the Switch Pro Controller, so I ordered the battery from Nintendo. Still plays great, especially with Homebrew. I've beat tons of games on it, I'm currently playing Story of Seasons. I suspect I'll still be playing it for years to come. Not the sexiest handheld, but the one that gets the most playtime.
I have a really soft spot for the 2DS. My 3DS broke around the time this system came out and being a broke uni student, I decided to pick this up and it worked like a charm for about 3 years before I replaced it with a New 3DS
This was just supreme comfort for people with massive hands. None of the weight balancing issues that the fancier models were prone to, extremely friendly shape.
Scott got that refurb 2DS when the Nintendo Online store was clearing them out, like I did and I also got a blue stylus. I called about it and they said red stylus ran out first, and all that were left were blue and brown. Also, another positive for 2DS is from that single pane screen underneath. The only DS model with identical color temp, contrast, etc across both screens exactly because they're not two different screens.
I worked overnight at Walmart when the 2DS came out alongside Pokemon X and Y. I didn't have a 3DS at the time, and was really wanting X, so the 2DS was perfect for me. I was really excited when we had a few left after all the midnight customers got their consoles and games, and bought mine! It was my introduction to the 3DS family, and I really loved playing it. The colors are a lot of fun too, I really want to get my hands on the transparent green one from Japan.
I purchased the 2DS simply because it was bigger for my hands. I eventually upgraded to the 3DS XL for the smaller, more compact form factor but I love my 2DS!
This is a fantastic console. For my birthday 10 years ago, my wife bought me a 2DS and Super Mario 3D Land, and that began the second chapter of my love for portable gaming. I’ll always have a soft spot for it.
The 2ds had a lot going for it. Besides the fact it was cheaper it was also incredibly durable compared to the clamshell consoles with fragile hinges that always seemed to break on Nintendo consoles even if you were careful. Even after I got a 3DS- I almost never used the 3D mode and I doubt many others did either. It was also genius in that Nintendo (at least in their portable consoles) have huge libraries - it makes sense to sell a dirt cheap stripped down console, it will sell more games.
This system was perfect for parents with very little kids because it had the most damage resistance, meaning that if you dropped it there wouldn’t be a risk of breaking the dual screen hinges. It also had a complete matte casing which made it look more comfortable and less prone to scratches, and dirt and fingerprints unlike the original launch version 3DS which was glossy all over.
It’s honestly my favorite version of the 3DS. To the point that when I upgraded to a New 3DS XL (which was a one-way transfer)… I actually continued using the 2DS, created a new account, and slowly rebought several of my favorite digital games on it…
the 2ds is my first ever DS handheld and i got it like 6 months ago. Replaced the analog stick, usb c charging port, screen protector, sd card slot, digitizer. And added a 3d printed grip recently. Quite happy with it. Would be perfect for me if it had 2 joysticks
As someone that didn't have that much money growing up and disliked the 3D of the 3DS when I'd play it at friends and school this was perfect for me. This was my way of playing Layton and fire emblem whenever i wanted and then getting smash Christmas 2014 was absolutely perfect. So many memories with this thing.
I’m glad the 2dsxl I bought used came with its original Nintendo case. It’s pretty similar to the 2ds one, blank light blue with the Nintendo logo. It’s simple but I like it, reminds me of the minimalist og ds lite accessories
My first experience to TH-cam ever was on this thing. I was a kid bored at my grandparents house and was searching through my 2DS which I left my games for at home and found "TH-cam" expecting it to be a built in game similar to Face Raiders. Since my Grandparent's WiFi quality was pretty bad and I was an impatient kid it only ever loaded one video, Stampylonghead's Minecraft lets play and I watched the SHIIT out of that video.
I got my 2ds years after my Switch and I still adore it, despite having a 3ds and a 3ds XL as well. The 2ds remains my preferred way to pick up and play. Something about it is so cozy to me
People who make fun of the 2DS will never understand how insane it was that with this thing you could play the newest Smash Bros for only $120

Ir to give it to a kid
It was the largest purchase of my life back when I was 10, that $80 was big for 10 year-old me
Yep. I remember when I was a kid I went into Walmart with my recently obtained birthday money, saw 2ds's for $80 that also came with Mario kart 7, and since I've never had a 3ds before, I decided to buy one. Still probably the best $80 I've ever spent and I still use it to this day.

i grew up with the 2DS and i'll always have love for it. i can get why people referred to it back then as the worst model since it had no 3d and it didn't have the clamshell design that the other DS/3DS models had but honestly, this thing was amazing. it was the perfect device for me back then since it was cheap which made it more convincing for my parents to get one for me and most importantly i could still play all the 3DS and DS games i wanted to play back in the day. this was my all in one media device during the mid - late 2010s, i could play games like smash 4, animal crossing, pokemon and zelda, i could watch videos on youtube and the nintendo anime channel and for social media there was miiverse which was... interesting. plus this thing was built like a tank. i dropped it so many times and the only damage it took were some dents and scratches, besides that it was as good as always. i could go on and on but man, i'll always love and cherish the 2DS and all the memories it gave me during my core/late childhood years.
Reasons I like my 2DS despite owning a New 3DSXL:
1) Slab design feels less finicky/fragile.
2) Lighter and easier to support.
3) Large L and R Buttons.
4) More traditional mushy buttons.
5) Matte finish.
Yeah I think it’s pretty cool how it’s all built into one piece and can play pretty much the whole 3ds game library
The L and R buttons are GOATed on the 2DS!
Mine literally broke in half

I can do without the chastising of the product name at the beginning, though. The guy is talking out of his ass. DS never officially stood for "Dual Screen" - because it was also said to stand for "Developers' System", by Nintendo themselves. Also, 3DS is a mashup, not an acronym - it's "3D", and "DS". In the same way that SEGA isn't an acronym - it's a mashup and contraction of "Service" and "Games". So "2DS" isn't hard to figure out - it's just "2D" and "DS".
The 2DS is underrated imo. Extremely comfortable to play.
And then the New 2DS went back to that hinge shit. Boooooo

I remember getting my 2ds for like, $70 with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed. Great christmas, I played that thing till the circle pad wore off
Tbh, I didn't think I'd ever buy a 2DS. I already had a 3DS for a while, and later upgraded to the XL model. Then, last year, I saw one at a yard sale for $5. When they revealed this 2DS I thought about games that had puzzles where you solved them by closing a traditional DS - Trace Memory/Another Code, Hotel Dusk, Zelda Phantom Hourglass - and how that would be impossible on this console and that is probably why I have never bought the system.

It was also genius in that Nintendo (at least in their portable consoles) have huge libraries - it makes sense to sell a dirt cheap stripped down console, it will sell more games.
i still have my 2ds!!!! proud owner
I’ve legit never heard anyone who has one of these say it’s bad. It’s only people that never used it that shit talk it lol
It’s honestly my favorite version of the 3DS.
To the point that when I upgraded to a New 3DS XL (which was a one-way transfer)… I actually continued using the 2DS, created a new account, and slowly rebought several of my favorite digital games on it…

Something about it is so cozy to me
i have 2 3ds xls and 2 new 3ds xls, but i 99% of the time choose to play on my 2ds. it's an insanely great console.
