What's up, Chris? I have almost 50,000 on my 2009 GL1800 and NEVER knew anything about the crank shaft breather. Until watching your "Part 2" video. Much appreciate you and ALL your videos. Twiddling my thumbs waiting on Part 3. I used Castro Oil. But I'm gonna try your Amsoil since I also pull my trailer everywhere I go. Keep up the great job/videos.

A biker may not realize it but the Crank Case Breather is part of Routine Servicing, if your frequently riding through rainy wet conditions then a rider should check and drain the crank case breather more often.

You won’t hear this comprehensive info on how to prepare your Wing on the other channels. No sir. They go around local the corner for coffee and then Vlog about it. 😂 Appreciate the experienced based perspectives. Knowledge is power. “Build it, they will come.” Trust if they are smart, they are doing that. Thank you Chris. Peace

Thanks RG, road trips are fun when the rider are prepared, I’ve always stated that motorcycling ain’t cheap but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

100% to that Chris! When you get to the point in your life to be able to buy a top-shelf luxury touring motorcycle like the Gold Wing or any big ticket motorcycle. Don’t matter. You best be thinking about all of it. Make a list. Top to bottom. Weather based Quality Safety gear, creature comfort accessories, onboard tools, etc. Then travel expenses. Hotel, Food Gas and emergency unplanned incidentals. Crap happens. Nothing worse than thinking ok, I bought this beautiful bike. Now I’m broke. Like you’ve said, it don’t need to all happen over night. But you best be thinking about it. Cause it’s coming. Trust the Caliente G4 influence will bite you. Preach it Preacher! 😂

Another fine video, I like the belly pan idea. For the past twelve years, I've been running Royal Purple Max Cycle 10w40 in my 03 GL1800 it now has 83,000 and is due for a air filter change AGHHHH. Safe travels Chris!

Great job Chris! I can't believe Honda recommends 8,000 mile intervals for oil, and 16,000 for final drive lube. I do both together at no more than 4000 miles. Very cheap insurance. I like the Shell Rotella T6 synthetic. It doesn't have the additives so can be used in wet clutch systems. This years prep included NGK Iridium plugs. I want to see how they do and if I notice any difference from the OEM NGK plugs. Looking forward to the next video in the series!!

Appreciate the video. I use the same full synthetic Amsoil 10/40 for metric motorcycles. Nothing like working on your own bike. I find it really satisfying doing my own work on the Goldwing.
