- 6WB retrofit for one of our customers.
The video should give you a good idea of the process involved in fitting a new cluster from the dealer.
The coding and programming is the most tricky part, the basics are outlined in the video however i would expect anyone trying this to be familiar with the software used and be able to troubleshoot any issues themselves.
For the final programming and coding I logged into BMW's online programming system and fully updated the cars integration level.
This ensures the cars software is completely up to date and will also transfer the freshly adopted vehicle order to BMW's servers, meaning when the car goes to any main dealer or specialist for programming none of the retrofit coding is at danger.

Thank you, I completed the upgrade to a 6WB last week, I did notice the range was not the same after the swap and coding, the 6WA showed 392km the 6WB displays 456km, not sure if this is something to be concerned about.

I've recently had 6WB retrofitted to my F30 but when i code to code for the M. Performance cluster logo to appear i get M550d show up instead. Is there a way to recode this to show M Performance...?
Is this mod doesn't require fibre optic cable? It seems simpler than other 6wb retrofit procedure.
Hi. What happens if ISTA D tells you to Mount KOMBI (order no. XXXX)? Do you need to revert to the original cluster and/or buy a new one from BMW?
Upgrade the car to latest sw level need to be done before retrofit digital cluster or with old cluster ?
Hi we tried to calibrate HUD BMW F10 It says choose shape Rombus,Trapez etc we choose and then try to fine tune like 1 is up 2 is down etc but it doesent change at all please help
So it's possible to have a full plug and play unit if you communicate the vin of the car where the unit is going to be installed to a specialist?

Hello, I want to change my standard cluster from miles to a standard cluster in km. After reprogramming and reflashing the new standard km cluster to match the original millage/km on the car, do you have to programme the car's ecu to accept the new km cluster ?

Hi. How much you will charge for programming the 6WB in F32? I can do the coding myself but since you can actually do the programming means that if my dealer wants to to a software upgrade I do not need to reconnect the old clusters right?

Hello, I see that you got an error at 6:47 RDBI_FTP and RDBI_SVK at 7:00 I'm getting the same errors trying to retrofit 6WB, after that cluster went blank not responding. How did you come across that error? Thanks

How hard is it for novice to use e-sys to code into car for 6wb? I’m waiting on guy from Europe to code my f30 remotely , getting impatient as I only have speedometer and color change for modes working- no gas gage,rpm,hud,nav etc.
Did you get yours completed? I have the same functionality but esys doesn't give me a tal to flash the unit. Let me know anything you learned. Thanks.

You had some errors during esys coding operation. Any side effects from them?
Fortunately no, as it says in the video i ran through the coding as an exercise to demonstrate how its done, it would not have worked as the PSDZ files i was using were outdated at the time. This was not a problem as once the VO was changed i was always going to use BMW's online ISTA to update the car and code everything correctly.

i got the 6wb installed in my f30,was preprogrammed for my car by vin#,but it isnt working properly,will switch screen lay out and color in the different modes(blue ecopro,black comfort,red for sport and sport+) but my rpms,hud,gas gage,nav in cluster dont work. the guy from germany said my car needed to be reset-is this something i can do in beemercode or do i have to drop a mint at local dealership? ive tried to update thru usb stick from download at bmw website,car dosnt recognize it. any help would be most appriciated

I’m Same guy as post above,I’ve tried figuring out how to sign into beemerpost, but the site gives me issues with log in,and won’t let me post anything with out log in, I have e-sys on my laptop and e-cable believe I need a something “PSDZ” wether that is a file or program I’m not sure but I was told I need it. Any help would be greatly appreciated,as I don’t know what I’m doing
because you need to say to your car that you have installed this new one, the car are thinking that the old one are installed, in the video, the guy are explaining how to do that, download the sw, for 1 car its free, and buy or built a enet interface to make the changes
