Charlie sure was crazy about Ford products.
Speaking of which, the three “Angels” were, supposedly, equal partners in the group, so why did Farrah get a Cobra II when Jaclyn Smith only got a Mustang coupe and Kate Jackson got pretty-much shafted, having to drive a Pinto? What was Farrah doing for Charlie that the other two weren’t? 🤔
I think if I was Kate Jackson, I’d feel a little bit insulted. 🫤

@@rogerstlaurent8704 - Well, let’s face it, in those days, ALL Ford cars were crap. They may have all been garbage, but the Cobra II at least had “style,” for the mid-seventies.
Really, the Cobras weren’t bad cars. They were underpowered (by lots) and badly built, but I THINK they all had 302’s, which was actually a good engine. They’re highly sought-after today (if you can find one that’s relatively intact).
Even the Pintos weren’t as bad as their reputations might make you think. Everyone thinks they’re all explosion-prone death traps, but only a very few actually caught fire, and after the recall update, they were relatively reliable and economical.
Yeah, by today’s standards, they’re junk, but at that point in automobile history, they were comparable to any other American-made car, and they were reasonably competitive.

    • @alanwright7819

@@mikewillett5076 - Yeah, I know you’re right, but why did Kate Jackson get the Pinto? That’s really kind of insulting when you think about it.
Even the Mustang coupe was a bit of an insult for Jaclyn Smith. In my opinion, she was far more attractive than Farrah, but I guess the Cobra fit Farrah’s image better than it would have for J.S., who seemed less “sporty,” maybe a bit classier.
      Just my opinion.

Making a 1976 Mustang II look like a 1964.5/'66 Mustang fooled nobody. Everybody would be jumping for joy if the Mustang II got blown up. Plenty of tears shed for the original Mustang.

Those actually preceded the old cell phone network. I had a couple customers with them. You picked it up and dialed an operator that would complete your call. Later, when the cells started gearing up, there was an interface module that allowed you to use a regular handset like that in the back of an RV with the actual cellphone mounted up front. I installed a few of those in my shop.

If the bad guy just cut the hose to the front brakes, the rears would still function. All domestic cars went to this dual circuit in 1967. Also, the emergency brake would still work, hence the name. However, it's more fun when Hollywood creates a total failure!
