Wow, you even caught the beige SAAB 95 wagon! Though "1970" would have to be just a guess. As with most Euro cars, they look the same for years. Though that one seems to have factory tinted windows which SAAB started doing somewhere between '70 or '71. Could also be a '72 or '73 - last year for the 96/95 in the US of A. (used to own many)
The worst thing you should never do is be part of undercover sting as anything can go wrong quickly and man that's hurts to see roadrunner getting wreck is sad 😢.
I like the 68 Plymouth wagon in front of the grocery store. I'm glad im not the only one that watches the cars instead of what is actually going on in the movie. Lots of cool cars sitting casually in the background.
One of my favorite movies. Great casting especially Robert Mitchum in the descendent arc of his career but superb, nonetheless. He was also outstanding in the later 1978, 'Big Sleep', and too Alex Rocco as Jimmy 'Scal'. One of the best parts about this movie is the outstanding on location shooting in the early '70's Boston locales. I got the DVD 10 years ago and there's some deleted scenes considered over the top even for 1973 which they included that were cut. I thought it was funny when Jackie Brown says he's got the '383 Hemi' when there is no such thing. The 383 was the base engine in the Road Runner. This movie was based on a book by George V Higgins who was a former US Assistant Attny who modeled the characters and story after his experiences with the Boston organized crime underworld and how both sides play each other. Small timer Coyle gets screwed by the Govt system and his criminal buddies becoming the fall guy for both.
@@matthew-emerson-cadmer-7409 Yah, it's hard to tell if they do that on purpose as part of the story 'character development' or they really just don't know. A little over the top a supposed 'car guy' back then would be that ignorant.
Just to give some perspective on that 1971 Plymouth Road Runner, I have an old copy of Road Test magazine from Feb 1971 where they did a road test and evaluation of it. The base price was $3120 (at Detroit). The depreciation based on Kelley Blue Book previous years models was $900 the 1st year and $500 the second year. That's HUGE! Roughly 50% of the cars value in 2 years, which is how old it was when they made this movie. You can imagine what the other cars were worth. It sure looked 'fixable' after that crash, but for a $1500 car they probably scraped it.

@77PacerStudios Well that's a start. ha ha ha All kidding aside I believe you covered it quite thoroughly.
Nice list, the only one you missed was the red Mustang turning in to the parking lot. 😎👍
Nissan Patrol? Is that the red one @3:04?

Absolutely!
Note also the light blue '66 Olds Delta 88 with a dented rear fender in the same shot; adds a bit of realism to the scene, I think.
‘68 Plymouth Satellite Wagon.
"No, I got the Hemi, 383 Hemi." lol That neighborhood near the beginning must have been pretty ritzy, a lot of Cadillacs.
383 hemi...... kills me 😎
😂😂

I also found it kind of funny. The 383 Hemi was in reality the 383 Magnum.

Great movie!
When cars were real cars.
Excellent movie with Robert Mitchum
Crying shame the 71 Road Runner had too get messed up 😢
Man that 429 Ford Big Block V8 in that 71 Ford LTD can really keep up with the 383 Magnum V8 in that beautiful 71 Plymouth Roadrunner.
Lol, only on television.
IMCDB lists it as a Galaxie 500, actually.
@@michaelmeliambro5117 Right, that Galaxie had to have the almighty 429 Big Block V8 to keep up with that Mopar and take it down with ease.
Love this movie great cast and plot. Many of the same cars were used in different scenes.Live the GTX. Btw Peter Boyle was a snake in this movie 😅

I'll stick with heavy vehicles: GMC Wells Fargo cash truck, International Loadstar school bus, Mack B61 single drive.😉

That a nice color on the satelite💚
The most valuable motor ever made.... a 383 Hemi😅
Impala, impala, impala, caprice, impala, malibu, galaxy, galaxy, road runner
@speedeespeedboi9527 Yeah but you missed the other Impala, impala, impala, caprice, impala, malibu, galaxy and galaxy. ha ha ha
There was never a car named Galaxy.
Damn this episode ended like the sopranos 😆
Nailed'em all except for the red Jeep-ish thing @3:04 - @3:05
Is that maybe a Toyota Land Cruiser????
@@mrsamsung8184 Yeah thought maybe a real early FJ Toyota too, but another guy here says Nissan Patrol.

That poor hemi roadrunner got destroyed. No wonder they bring so much money
It was a 383 Wedge. Look at the hood. In 1971 the 426 Hemi came standard with the Air Grabber hood. Easiest way to tell.
@@vincemajestyk9497 If I can recall correctly, it was a 383 Magnum.
did you get the mouse motor? no why would I get a GM motor in my Roadrunner?
I couldn’t stop rewinding, the way that Ford, cut off that road runner
