- This year's celebrations mark the revival of North Korea's iconic mass games after a five-year hiatus.
The mass games involve tens of thousands of people holding up placards or dancing in precise unison and are intended to be a display of national unity.
This year's spectacle tickets start at just over £75 and go up to more than £600 per seat also has a strong economic theme.
The economy was also a big part of a concert held on the eve of the anniversary for foreign dignitaries and a large foreign media contingent allowed in for the events.

How do u know nothing is messed up ? Small errors do happen and u will see them if u look carefully ....nobody looks terrified of making these inadvertent errors but the participants do seek to be as perfect as possible...

@@Victori.A1 nurturing talent in young children is not child labour or child abuse...I've seen videos of how the north koreans train their young kids and the trainers coax the young trainees into performing better and better through lots of encouraging words and showering lots of love on them and this works bcoz young kids r hungry for both praise and love....

This is not what it seems. This is the training for low tech surveillance done in groups in public settings. Parks, chess areas, bus stops, taxi spots. The groups are composed of spotters, stalkers, fashion readers, informants, informed etc and they mark people in broad daylight for either blackmail stalking etc. Very common in former communist countries and communist ones obviosly. They also speak a criminal slang dialect with a reverse intonation. For instance "the war on drugs" would really mean "the war. But we are on drugs" ie we are on drugs to give as an edge I'm the war for global communism. Here is a display of their low tech espionage tactics success over the high tech western tactics.
