    Is the screen if the background made of people too?
    I have the idea to have seen something like that years ago in a video. It showed their leader riding a horse. In movement. It was unbelievable

    Nice video but the music does not match the performance!
    Pity, video would be much more powerful with proper North-Korean music.
    I attended this on september 9 but no camera was allowed that day because of "number one". Stadium was full and best show ive see in my life!

      @@SrD1D0 I was disappointed too at the beginning, but because we couldn't bring camera I extra enjoyed it live without thinking to take moevies or pictures all the time, so was happy in the end about it. I When number one entered, that was very impressive

      But then when you think of how they make children practice for 8hr-13hrs a day in the cold as young as 5yrs old, every day and forced not to mess up or face harsh punishment or execution if they mess up astronomicably (like flipping the wrong card 😢)... it loses it's appeal and you just see cruelty presented as a 'collective concious'

    Dang… it’s so sad how many exceptional K-pop girl groups we’re missing out on of because of the war. South Korea uses their top notch choreography and synchronicity for killer dance numbers in K-pop music videos… while in the north, this is what they do. Imagine, if the war didn’t happen, there’s a talented gorgeous Korean woman that could be the next world wide star… but instead, her job in the north is to be a card flipping pixel in Kim Jong’s living breathing 4k tv…

      North Korean control is not as exaggerated as made out. Our luggage was checked less thoroughly, and in a more friendly way, both arriving and departing than I have encountered in Hawaii and they didn't check what was on cameras at all. The only thing they checked on my arrival was rolls of Euro coins as they couldn't tell what they were from the x-ray. There are no ATMs or credit card facilities so you can only spend what you bring in cash (USD, Euros or Yuan). Obviously, they have no control once recordings or photos are outside the country. A French lady in our group posted a video of the entire performance. th-cam.com/video/X9RixVscDzs/w-d-xo.html

    I'm really disappointed about that.
    I don't know how much the North Koreans paid you to make this video, but it's disappointing a great channel like this to be showing the idolatry to a leader of a dictatorial country as something beautiful, which really is looking superficially, but you can't just ignore what is behind this all. I know you know about the concentration camps, about Otto Warmbier and all the horrible things that this oppressive regime has done and it's even more staggering that APPARENTLY all this doesn't mean anything.
    I'm a huge fan of your work but unfortunately i have to dislike this.

      I don't think recording a performance like this glorifies NK. When I see this, I just have a lot of questions. How do the Norks afford putting something like this on? I feel sorry for the NK people, the manipulation of their lives, the oppression, etc. This, to me, does not absolve the NK leadership and the Kim family for the horrendous conditions in their country, the starvation, the human rights abuses. This is just a colorful aside that contrasts wildly with the primitive conditions in NK.

    • @tayjeong
      @tayjeong 6 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      You obviously have no critical thinking skills. Do not form a rigid opinion on a topic that you don't know well about. Western MSM does not always tell the truth, especially when it comes to a tiny country that is at war with the most powerful state in the world for 70+ years. The Nazi-like human rights abuse tales that you see in bookstores and New York times and western TV documentaries come entirely from celebrity defector accounts, whose job is precisely to say these things. I know because I am South Korean who have looked deeply into the structure of the NK human rights industry. UN Human rights reports? Sure. But they also rely on the same defector testimony sources. If you attended any graduate-level training in social science, you will know that NONE of these reports even remotely meet the methodological rigor for establishing factual claims. No, you don't KNOW about the concentration camps. You do not have access to reliable evidence, because there aren't any. If anything, there is a ton of well-documented, transparent evidence (ask any sociologist/criminologist at US sociology departments) that the US penal system is putting tens of thousands of relatively innocent blacks into prisons. Not to mention special prisons like Guantanamo bay. Whatever human rights abuse there is in NK, there is no reliable evidence to conclude that it is categorically more egregious than all those other bad things happening in the rest of the world.

    • @viniciust.s6884
      @viniciust.s6884 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Now that you have addressed the issue of critical sense, I will ask you a few things. a dictatorial regime, without press freedom, with a state that massively teaches citizens to idolize their leaders unquestionably, almost religiously, without allowing the population to have access to the rest of the world, the internet, books, ideas, because they know which pose a risk to the government's survival, do you really think such a country would not punish dissidents in the way we hear? And in the capital itself, where there are warnings that openly warn of some offenses that can be punished with "reeducation through work," what do you think this reeducation can be? that offenders go to a small air-conditioned room and fill out forms? Who will wear gari clothes and clean the streets, distribute food to the poor, and distribute vaccination pamphlets? a government that works with an ideology of massively indoctrinating people certainly does not treat dissidents with kindness. What does not necessarily rule out other abuses in the rest of the world, as in Guantanamo, it is worth noting that the world press sporadically reports what happens there and draws attention to the need for its closure, just as there are many people engaged in this cause, but the which NOBODY can deny is that North Korea is in the lead on the issue of authoritarian practices that openly hurt human rights.
      Did you, South Korean, accuse me of not being aware of the concentration camps and yourself? How much do you know? if there is no evidence, as you yourself said, which leads to this uncertainty, then tell us
