Thank you this helps so much. If you doing this Get you a flexible extension and any cheap electric wrench to make this 2-3 hours if not days project to a 30 mn project and save yourself a lot of hassle. One more thing if you just changing the thermostat you don’t need the pipe out cause it’s near impossible to do so you can easily tilt the pipe once you got the 2 10 mm that’s on the thermostat housing off that secure the bigger pipe and change the thermostat from the side without pulling the pipe out.

It’s relatively easy to pry that pipe out with a small-ish screwdriver. Just gotta be careful not to pry too hard haha

@@wjdiv1 A little side note if you ever remake this video for some reason I had a hellof a time getting the metal pipe broke loose from the thermostat housing, but putting the bolts back in to hold the housing in place, you're able to wiggle the pipe up and down and easily break the seal the o-ring creates and than the pipe slides out of the housing like butter!

I replaced the thermostat on the camaro and now I have a leak in the rear. I believe it's coming from the thermostat housing. When I assembled it the first time I jist replaced the gaskets (it leaked) I took it apart and re assembled it but this this time I used the gray gasket maker and it still leaking back there. Any ideas on what i should look?

I took my thermostat housing off the pipe to replace my thermostat but first I removed the two bracket bolts for the metal radiator hose to give me room for alignment I don't know if u did or didn't just throwing ideas. Did u lock thermostat into housing? Is there any chance something could be misaligned the gasket should be adequate without sealing. Are u sure ur leaking in the back?
