Thanks for the video! Very informational. About to have to change my thermostat this weekend. Mine has stuck closed and I have no flow going through the radiator. (2011)

FYI your better off removing the Thermostat Housing Assembly and buying a new one from Rock Auto for 49 bucks or local store for about a 100 those 2 -O rings should be replaced but that main seal the big black one on the housing is the problem for 2012 v6 ...it’s a high pressure seal and will bless through the gasket and run down the tranny and leak off the pan ...There is a process and this is the leak and it is finally Solved!!!!

How can you tell if it’s leaking from heater core hoses or thermostat?

what timing! there are basically no videos on the 2011 camaro thermostat/housing on youtube... I recently started running into a cooling issue, after replacing my hoses, replacing my water pump (which was leaking) and my cap (which was leaking) i still have a cooling/boiling issue... after running the car to operating temp, i never saw the thermostat open or any water circulating and my bottom hose stayed cold... I actually had a local piece of a shit Midas shop replace the thermostat/housing/flush back in 2019 and my car has never worked the same since... leaking coolant etc. They charged me $1000 and I was ignorant and didnt understand the cooling system. In your opinion, can this job be done without taking off the intake manifold?

In my opinion it is alot easier if you do. It's already a tight enough with it off
