I had to replace my thermostat initially, but when I finally gained access to the thermostat housing, when I removed the thermostat the clip on one side snapped. So I replaced the top half of the thermostat housing with the new thermostat. Also had to reseal the black pipe that leads into the top of the housing. I believe I have a leak there because I did not let it sit for 24hrs. Is there a specific way I need to lube that end of the pipe with the sealant this time around when I pull it out of the housing to apply new sealant? I appreciate your help in the matter. Saving me 500$ in labor and 200$ more for Chevy Dealership parts.

@@_WizKing_ Just Coat it good and make sure it is very clean Just dont put to much sealant on it. Thanks..
