I love the atmosphere in nude drawing classes, especially the first time and how you imagined it before that. Like ppl often think like it's gonna be so super awkward and weird to just stare at someone being naked and "oh my gosh!" But actually being there with a bunch of other artists it immediately shifts to the art itself and the naked person in the room is just... a person and it's suddenly so normal and ordinary. You're way too focused on getting the god damn proportions right to even think about anything weird.
The art supplies that I never can't stop collecting seems to be corpses, you can paint on them and all that jazz. They're readily available, when I need one I just go out and kill the nearest person. I just tell the cops that I'm an artist and it's red paint, it's one of our best tricks.
Half a year late to the party, but my school has different programs and I’m in the art one, so if I’m drawing in my non-art programs they can’t really scold me since I’m an art kid and it’s just what we do and they can’t stop us.
I gave a drawing to my math teacher and she put it up on her whiteboard. (To be fair, she was leader of GSA and probably tended to be more compassionate to LGBT kids, cause most of us were depressed or fatigued)
I used to paint with fake blood for some reason, and I drew stuff often in public places like the bus stop and sometimes I'd have pastels or something on my face, but never red. So one day, I painted a crimescene on the school ground for Halloween, it was raining and I had 3 tubes of fake blood to use. Once I finished, I was soaked wet, my arms and clothes were covered in fake blood, so I went to catch my bus, got on, and for some reason, noone questioned why I looked like that. I could've litterally murdered someone.

I remember when I was little, we'd wear "art shirts" in art class, which was a big button-up denim shirt we'd wear to protect our clothes underneath. Some kids would have the mindset that they shouldn't get paint on them at all ever, so to get any of us out of that mindset, the first thing they had us do was paint on our own art shirts. I think I might still have mine somewhere and, because it was over-sized for my little kid self, it probably fits me now.
Oh my gosh... I've used my crush's impossible to draw face as a reason to stare at him XD I've also drawn my teachers in my notebooks while bored in class lol. I don't really have the hoarding problem since I'm a broke student, but if I had to pick something, I think it would probably be sketchbooks. I actually do. One blade can make it through half one piece and then it's useless. I've been using and sharpening them for years. I have a whole drawer dedicated just to a whetstone (Never use it.) and several super fine sandpapers. But sharpening is taking away metal which leaves me with strange sharp shapes on occasion. Maybe I should start collecting the blades over the next few months and record how wonky they get. lol Turn THOSE into an art project! It shall be called... EDGEY AF
I'm finding you have to keep it at a solid 45 degree angle when sharpening, and that seems to limit the shape warping. No rotating the blade in any manner. I'm also practicing this with kitchen knives and HOO BOY have my cuts never been cleaner.

Dude, there's this really good type of eraser. I don't remember the exact name, but it has this red thing on it that says "sumo grip," and damn is it amazing. It erases everything and leaves almost no debris. I have five of them.
I thought I wasn't a hoarder artist because I almost never draw traditional But then I saw this comment and realized how much erasing I do.. I'm more comfortable writing in pencil so unless it's anything for school where it's strictly blue pens, I will write in pencil. I also draw traditional pencil sketches to make digital out of it later. All of my erasers, each and every except one really old eraser I found in the depths of my room, they all smudge. New, purely white, beautiful eraser I just bought? Smudges, smudges darn it! So I put it away and never take it out again, buy another one, and rince repeat. Bam, hoarding! Then there's the fact that I hoard blue gel pens, because they're the most perfect thing for writing in class but over the summer I never use them, they dry out, I buy new ones, rince repeat. (someone give me eraser recommendations aaaaa)
Every Christmas people don’t know what to get me, and then they see me drawing and get me a sketchbook. I currently have 20 sketchbooks just from Christmas.
For me, when it comes to having a ton of something, it's really any sort of ink pens or any form of paper. I have like a ton of sketchbooks that are started and i never finish them, piles and piles of loose sheets of any kind. Lined, white, colored, gridded, patterned whatever, I just have piles and piles of paper all over and I keep collecting new papers as if I didn't have enough of them to draw on and end up never using them and I just hoard paper like it's the end of the world this is a problem.

I have approximately 10-20 black gel pens with me at all times. The majority of them are dry so I get ~5 pens that work. I just randomly choose which one to use everytime I use them and hope that I didn't pick an empty one. :')

I love the atmosphere in nude drawing classes, especially the first time and how you imagined it before that.
Like ppl often think like it's gonna be so super awkward and weird to just stare at someone being naked and "oh my gosh!"
But actually being there with a bunch of other artists it immediately shifts to the art itself and the naked person in the room is just... a person and it's suddenly so normal and ordinary. You're way too focused on getting the god damn proportions right to even think about anything weird.

The art supplies that I never can't stop collecting seems to be corpses, you can paint on them and all that jazz. They're readily available, when I need one I just go out and kill the nearest person. I just tell the cops that I'm an artist and it's red paint, it's one of our best tricks.

Half a year late to the party, but my school has different programs and I’m in the art one, so if I’m drawing in my non-art programs they can’t really scold me since I’m an art kid and it’s just what we do and they can’t stop us.
I gave a drawing to my math teacher and she put it up on her whiteboard. (To be fair, she was leader of GSA and probably tended to be more compassionate to LGBT kids, cause most of us were depressed or fatigued)
I used to paint with fake blood for some reason, and I drew stuff often in public places like the bus stop and sometimes I'd have pastels or something on my face, but never red. So one day, I painted a crimescene on the school ground for Halloween, it was raining and I had 3 tubes of fake blood to use. Once I finished, I was soaked wet, my arms and clothes were covered in fake blood, so I went to catch my bus, got on, and for some reason, noone questioned why I looked like that. I could've litterally murdered someone.

Gosh there’s this certain brand and style of the color pens that I’m addicted to because they are so smooth and the colors are amazing
I remember when I was little, we'd wear "art shirts" in art class, which was a big button-up denim shirt we'd wear to protect our clothes underneath. Some kids would have the mindset that they shouldn't get paint on them at all ever, so to get any of us out of that mindset, the first thing they had us do was paint on our own art shirts. I think I might still have mine somewhere and, because it was over-sized for my little kid self, it probably fits me now.

Oh my gosh... I've used my crush's impossible to draw face as a reason to stare at him XD I've also drawn my teachers in my notebooks while bored in class lol. I don't really have the hoarding problem since I'm a broke student, but if I had to pick something, I think it would probably be sketchbooks. I have a ton and I have like 5 that aren't full since I'm waiting until I'm in the mood for the EXACT medium the paper was made for lol. And the ones that are full, I go through them in about 4 months so i always need a new one.

the paint one is so true, can't also forget the clothes being covered in paint stains from wiping your brush, or on your arms, and paint stains on your glasses (if you have them). along with the stains on your floor from accidentally spilling dirty paint water on your clean, carpeted floor. I'm addicted to X-acto blades. This sounds creepier than it really is. ;w; I make cut-out type art all the time. THEY DONT LAST, MAN.

I actually do. One blade can make it through half one piece and then it's useless. I've been using and sharpening them for years. I have a whole drawer dedicated just to a whetstone (Never use it.) and several super fine sandpapers. But sharpening is taking away metal which leaves me with strange sharp shapes on occasion. Maybe I should start collecting the blades over the next few months and record how wonky they get. lol Turn THOSE into an art project! It shall be called... EDGEY AF
Tessa Ladd No kidding! I was trying to cut around a curve in a piece of thin craft wood. The tip of the blade snapped right off.
I have a wide magnet for that exact situation. D: Because sometimes it snaps off and I haven't the slightest dang clue where it's gone off to.
I'm finding you have to keep it at a solid 45 degree angle when sharpening, and that seems to limit the shape warping. No rotating the blade in any manner. I'm also practicing this with kitchen knives and HOO BOY have my cuts never been cleaner.

Dude, there's this really good type of eraser. I don't remember the exact name, but it has this red thing on it that says "sumo grip," and damn is it amazing. It erases everything and leaves almost no debris. I have five of them.

I thought I wasn't a hoarder artist because I almost never draw traditional
But then I saw this comment and realized how much erasing I do.. I'm more comfortable writing in pencil so unless it's anything for school where it's strictly blue pens, I will write in pencil. I also draw traditional pencil sketches to make digital out of it later. All of my erasers, each and every except one really old eraser I found in the depths of my room, they all smudge. New, purely white, beautiful eraser I just bought? Smudges, smudges darn it! So I put it away and never take it out again, buy another one, and rince repeat. Bam, hoarding!
Then there's the fact that I hoard blue gel pens, because they're the most perfect thing for writing in class but over the summer I never use them, they dry out, I buy new ones, rince repeat.

For me, when it comes to having a ton of something, it's really any sort of ink pens or any form of paper. I have like a ton of sketchbooks that are started and i never finish them, piles and piles of loose sheets of any kind. Lined, white, colored, gridded, patterned whatever, I just have piles and piles of paper all over and I keep collecting new papers as if I didn't have enough of them to draw on and end up never using them and I just hoard paper like it's the end of the world this is a problem.

I have approximately 10-20 black gel pens with me at all times. The majority of them are dry so I get ~5 pens that work. I just randomly choose which one to use everytime I use them and hope that I didn't pick an empty one. :')
